@gregrutz sorry mate but you're wrong. The order of fossils can change due to earthquakes and such. But indicator fossils and radiocarbon can be used to determine the age of these fossils.
@martyjb11 Are you a creatard? The fossils are in order, simple life on the lower strata, mammals and birds only in young rocks. If you say ''indicator fossils'' or ''index fossils'' the IDiots will say that is 'circular reasoning''. They will also say radiocarbon dating does not work. The fact is Carbon 14 Radiometric dating is not used to date fossils, it only works back 60,000 years. It is used to date Egyptian stuff from 6000 BC. Scientists date ash layers above and below fossils.
@gregrutz No I'm not a "creatard"... I agree with you that there is an order in regard to depths of fossils, with older fossils being found on lower stratum. What I was trying to get at was that fossils from older periods can be unearthed before more recent fossils, which can create some confusion. Also, radiometric methods are not just restricted to carbon dating. Radiocarbon dating is good for fossils no older than 50,000 years, but Potassium Argon dating works for older fossils (1.25 billion)
This vid accurately shows how fossils are formed. Now, we never or almost never see modern fossils on forest floors, in fish tanks, in the oceans, river beds etc. The bones are eaten or decompose. Yet there are vast fossil graveyards all over the planet with uncounted billions of fossils, billions of just one kind of nautiloid alone in the Grand Canyone alone. As Ken Ham said "Billions of dead things laid down by water all over the earth."
What you'd expect to see from a vast, global flood.
@LoricaLady In a global flood you would expect to find ONE layer of MUD with all the fossils MIXED together.
In nature we find distinct layers of different kinds of rock in random order with different fossils in each layer, Proof there was never a global flood and the earth is million of years old.
ANYONE: If you see no reply to Gregrutz & maybe some others, there are several evo watchdogs who follow me (& others) around YT. They know they are on ignore for personal insults, name calling, and sometimes even sexual harrassment. I am happy to debate with those who are civil & objective. Only.
And you didn't debate me, you didn't even answer the question. You just attacked me.

@gregrutz I never said you were guilty of sexual harrassment, only that some of the evo vid guard dogs have been. We certainly do not find distinct layers of different kinds of rock in the earth's strata. The Geologic Column, frequently seen in in "science" books, with no disclaimers, is a 19th century construct based (as usual) on 0 actual data and is nowhere to be found other than on paper. That is all I have to say to you. You were verbally abusive & experience shows it just gets worse.
@LoricaLady Go to the Grand Canyon. Look at the rock layers and tell me they don't exist. Tell me there are not distinct layers. Tell me the Coconino Sandstone is the same as the Kibab Limestone and Hermite Shale.
The Geologic Column in the books is a TIME Scale. Creationists can't figure out the difference between the complete TIME scale and the rock layers we find in nature, WHY NOT? Why is this and evolution so hard for you to figure out?
I belong to a fossil club. Ive posted 50+educational fossil videos : field trips , beginner classes and paleontologist lectures .Search under "Dry Dredgers" or Cincinnati fossils" in the you tube search engine to view them .
thank you

"Billions of dead things laid down by water all over the earth."
NOT ALL FOSSILS ARE IN WATER BORNS SEDIMENTS.
NOT ALL SEDIMENTS ARE FROM WATER
THE FOSSILS ARE NOT ALL MIXED UP, TRILOBITES ARE ALWAY ON THE BOTTOM, DINOSAURS ARE ALWAY IN THE MIDDLE, MAMMALS ARE ALWAYS ON TOP

@gregrutz not all fossils are in the proper order either.
