  • This is very good !!

  • En favorit!

  • ASSHOLE

  • it's funny for those goning crazy about Vinnie in this song & he's not even playing the "Guitar Solo" it's Rick Derringer ... Vinnie is a great Guitarist & his place in KISS is what it was great when he was there....

  • The Lick It Up-Album was pretty dirty as opposed to The Elder...by the way the lyrics are also pretty below the belt...not like The Elder...

  • Fuckin'awesome!!!I love this song!!!!

  • Vinnie Vincent? He should never been in KISS. What is his character supposed to be anyway? The Clown? The Living Shit? The Creampuff? It doesn't matter cause he sucks ass any way you slice it. He barely got enough talent to play for Menudo. I am one of the biggest KISS fans there are, but Vinnie just isn't KISS material. Ace is so far beyond compare to him, I can't believe anyone would try. Vinnie had a couple shining moments, but hey, so did The Gay City Rollers!!

  • disco kiss...ace was right

  • ERIC CARR!!! nevr die! a great drummer!

  • But Hey now that I've checked it out a few times It's slightly possible it was Derringer because it has a little of that style and tone, but I wasn't there in the studio so what the Hell, it's the Vincester!

  • The Solo with the Delay starting at 2:58 is Fucking Vinnie ,It's gotta be, even if he's Queer

  • Comment removed

  • the song is actually credited to Vinnie Vincent and Paul Stanley, so I honestly can't see why they'd get someone else in to play Vinnie's parts.

  • it's a great video, i like that you didn't put footage of other line-ups

but the intro of the album cover wasn't needed, it's a waste of time to me

  • good job vinnie vincent

  • Great editing, killer song, awesome guitar solo...

  • Nice editing. Be sure to see videos of mine by typing under search

    LITMADMAN

  • Wow, that takes me back! Nice editing!

  • lol @ RickStar72......Gary Moore didn't play on this track or any KISS track....Vinnie Vincent all the way on this....saw them on this tour in 1983

  • @cultmetfan Sorry to say bro that in the studio it was Rick Derringer, but i never heard of Gary Moore playin on it

  • kiss should cover living after midnight

  • gary moore and rick derringer played on this track

  • @stonedrocker666 Wasn't it Bob Kulick?

  • @cernex nahh its in the book, behind the mask, bob played on alive 2, killers, creatures, and pauls solo album

  • @stonedrocker666 I know Rick Derringer did but i didn't know Gary Moore did. Tell me more

  • Priest's song of the same title is much better. Gene, Paul, Ace and Peter deserve to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for their 1974-77 output alone.

  • actually the late gary moore played the guitar solo on this song

  • @RickStar72 need proof brother Proof

  • what can I say? I like this song alot for some reason!

  • vinnie didnt play on this track, rick derringer did

  • MUY BUENO!

  • As far as sheer talent Vinnie was the best guitar player Kiss ever had, as far as fitting in the overall sound of the band Ace and Bruce were better.

  • In my personal opinion Paul, Gene, Eric and Vinnie was KISS' finest overall lineup. Of course ACE never got a chance to co-write and perform much with Eric, so I'm leaving that possibility out of the equation:)

  • Vinnie Vincent.......................ugh.

  • Vinnie was the only Kiss guitar player that could fill Ace Frehley's shoes.

  • LICK IT UP - people thought it was the "Remove-The-Makeup-Gimmick" album, but it's got some great hard rock tunes on it. Nice faux-synch video. Vinnie Vincent's playing on this and CREATURES contain the most ferocious KISS solos ever. Yeah, everyone's got their fave (from Ace to Tommy), but for sheer original brutality, Vinnie gave it plenty my son!

  • Hit it! EXCITER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Kiss is great

  • this are my firts Lp of KISS on the 80s, simply great!!!!

Saludos a la banda de Poza Rica, Ver., al ebrios, al marciano, a mi carnal el Hugo y al Yeyo

  • Extreme KISS - Heavey as hell and babes too........

  • mother fucking damn straight

  • @damdamhellhell agree man

  • Los 80's fueron la epoca Heavy Metalera de Kiss,

muy buena cancion y exelente disco.

  • Great album. Too things could not have worked out with Vinnie.

  • Awesome KISS song! I love EXCITER!

  • KISS RULZ!!! Great job on making this video, btw!! I like how ya brought in vids and live footage.

  • SinnersWin is absolutely correct, considering Priest's Exciter came out in '78, yeah they had the name first, secondly, Halford has a 4 octave range, Paul Stanley has what, 2? Take into consideration the guitar solo trade offs Priest produces and Halford's vibratos, face it, KISS' prime wasn't in the 80's, sorry but this lineup was the worst the band had seen...

  • @KISS4evr I think some of this stuff is good, I never liked Vinnie Vincent. He never fit in this band. His face paint was so weird. His lead guitar was just so so.

  • @rocsalt But Vinnine is a great song writer & penned the majortiy of this album

  • @Acekicken I would agree with you, except that writing isn't this bands weakness.

  • @rocsalt It was at this time. Dynasty,Unmasked,The Elder.

While I love some of the songs(ACE) on those records they really hit a down ward Spiral Vinnine came in during Creatures of the night & it showed.

    I have Every KISS CD Vinnine with out doubt wrote/cowrote {cough/cough}

Some great songs it really shows on his 2nd solo cd All sytemes go where the song Love Kills went to #1 Vinnie also wrote for Revenge & it again showed

  • @Acekicken Again, writing is a strength for Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons. You have all their albums so you alreadly know that there were many albums without Vincent. Creatures was a commeical disappointment. Lick it Up, while sucessful, wasnt the best writhing by this band. The word on the street about Vincent is that he wanted too much control for a "hired hand". Vincent also wasn't an "offical contractual" member of the band.

  • @rocsalt Honestly I don't care for Commercial success. Creatures did go gold after the success of Lick it up. Gene & Paul are great song writers Vinnine was let go because of ethics he never singed the contract to be a full member Gene stated Vinnine was not let go cause of lack of talent but cause of ethics.

  • @rocsalt writing is a strength for paul and gene....that the funniest shit i have ever heard. neither one can write shit. the best and /or more popular kiss songs were writen by ace, peter, vinnie, desmond child and michael bolton.

  • @Acekicken You seem to be a "Vincent" fan, which I am not. I just don't see amazing talent. I thought that his predicesor, and his replacements were much better "total musicans".

  • @rocsalt Im a KIss fan& I love the work Kiss has done

  • @Acekicken Yes...I understand that. There are "Paul" fans, "Gene" fans and so on. I just thought you were a "vinnie" fan.

  • @rocsalt They all have brought something to KISS,my favorite would Ace Frehley

but I own every Kiss CD & they all have something special to them.

Im a fan of the Slaughter boy's & VVI All systems go is great I was not

a fan of the 1st cd without Mark but Vinnine's song righting is tight

I give credit where credit is do I would not say IM not a fan

  • @rocsalt And Paul Stanley gave Vinnine his face paint While Gene Named him Vinnine Vincent, Vinnine Cusano wanted to call him self Mick Furry

  • @rocsalt vinnie was the best thing to happen to kiss.best song writer of any of the band members and his song writing and style of playing SAVED this lame dying band.

  • @glynnracing79 Vinnie was talented but NOT as talented as Gene or Paul. ... otherwise he would have flourished after KISS

  • @MrDigitidog vinnie is a million times more talented of a musician and song writer then paul and gene together could ever dream of being.gene and paul are better buisnessmen and have a goal with their career.vinnie is just a loose canon.

  • @glynnracing79 YOU CLEARLY < GOT YOUR HEAD UP YOUR ASS< YOU FUCKIN IDIOT!!!!!! VINNIE VINCENT IS NOTHING BUT A WEIRDO & DESERVED THE BOOT< IN THE FIRST PLACE. ASK YOURSELF ONE THING? WHERE IS HE NOW?!!!! HE HAD ONE GOOD SOLO ALBUM & THAT WAS IT!!!!!!

  • @KISS4evr how can you even call yourself a kiss fan and say that this lineup was the worst.this line up saved this dying lame ass band.

  • @KISS4evr how can you have a screen name like kiss4evr and say this is the worst line up?this is the best line up in the history of kiss.maybe not the best for bubblegum pop or a circus show but musically this is the most talent this band has ever had, will ever have.best drummer and best guitarist.vinnie is a great song writer too.way better then anyone else thats ever been in kiss.

  • @glynnracing79 Ace is better than Vinnie, as a guitarist and a human being

  • @TheMullerFan vinnie is a million times better of a guitarist then ace could of dream of being.i am a huge fan of both but if you think ace is better then you never played any musical instrument before.as for the human being part........ace is a druggy, drunk loser...vinne is a cocky asshole.either way both screwed themselves over more then once.

  • you guys are the best

  • Sinners Win - Prove it!!!

  • it's not a cover

  • Damn, this is a great fuckin song!!!

  • rick derringer does the solo.

  • Kiss sounds pretty sick

But they shoulda never stole a Judas Priest song name. Priest owns Kiss.

  • Other way around, dude.

KISS didin't steal the name either.

They did a better "exciter" than Priest in the first place.

  • @TheHeartOfChrome ........... Hell nah

    Priest's exciter owns this shit

  • @SinnersWin MY ASS!

  • @SinnersWin No way, Do your homework before you make a comment like that!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Kiss never dissapoints me, they have many tracks like these that if metal heads from this era heard them, they would have more respect for Kiss!

    Kiss Army #1

  • One of the very best songs by KISS ever!

  • I bought the cassette of this record ...and played it till it finally wore out....just blew me away hearing the playing of Vinnie Vincent......Vincent John Cusano...where are you???

  • One of the best Kiss songs for sure

  • this is the ancestor song of mordern day delilah you could exchange the lyrics of exciter for delilah and the same in the other song

  • @drocks412 what are you talking about

  • Exciter is 1000 times better than that shit.

  • I saw them too on this tour, in Brussels, Belgium. It was in fact the first concert I ever attended. I was 14 years old. Got tickets for next year already!

  • FUCKING LOVE VINNIE VINCENT!!!!!

  • i wonder where that guy is now?

  • I seen them on this tour. Good memories......I'm making playlists for all of the studio albums btw.

  • i remeber playing this song for the first time and it just blew me away

  • Actually, it's Exciter music with clips from Lick It Up and All Hell's Breaking Loose videos, plus live concert footage. I have no problem with it. Great song. Good sort-of video to accompany it.

  • Underrated track.

  • Yeah! Surely underated. I think it's one of their best ever.

  • this is the freaking lick it up video with the exiter music.

  • According to wikipedia Rick Derringer did the solo on this song.

  • It's true!!!

  • yep he sure did.........they worked with alot of people over the years

  • Great song, great album.

  • Vinney gave Kiss three great albums, Creatures, Lick it up and Revenge. Man can write a song, for sure.

  • THIS IS MY FUCKEN THEME SONG

  • this is pretty fuckin good i prefer judas priest version tho

  • its two completly diffrents songs!just the name thats the same!-face it!

  • i know im just sayin i think judas priest one is better i know its too diff songs

  • they are two different songs lunkhead.

  • This rocks!!

  • this and one in a million were the 2 best songs

  • there is no one in a millio is million to one and i like both but maybe lick it up is better than million to one in the music not in the lyrics..

  • Paul's a great singer

  • very nicely done.cheers,almosthuman56

  • That is what happened to KISS. sad. very very sad

  • i like the guitar solo

  • 97warlock, you make a good point...Lick It Up was almost like Creatures of the Night part II. They could've dropped the makeup AFTER they dropped Vinnie.

  • LICK IT UP......Was the album that to me....Should have still been in Makeup, & THEN take it off for animalize & asylum etc etc etc. Lick it Up just has Balls & as crazy as it may sound.....just seems like it would have been cooler if they had still been in Makeup still.

  • Yeah and i think that Vinnie was a good replacement over Mark or Bruce and even Tommy

  • This is SUCH AN AMAZING SONG! One of the hardest hitting from all of their albums easily. Cool!

  • This is a very underated KISS song, Should have opened the setlist on a tour or two

  • 80s KISS will be my favorite of all the years. a very fresh and down and dirty vibe. so heavy. i wish they would pay some more attention to the 80s on tour now. i would love to see KISS in makeup playing non-makeup songs

  • fuck you

  • i really cant name anyone with a stronger more clear voice than paul

  • ..And as any diehard KISS fan knows..Bob Kulick played on Paul Stanley's 1978 solo album...BTW did anybody else know that Katey Sagel (a.k.a. Peg Bundy) sang back-up on Gene's solo album..She must have just been in her early 20's by then.

  • i already knew that

  • Good work, Dude!

Very cool compilation on a great song.

  • Ya goto love pauls vioce and attitude!

  • R.I.P eric carr we love and miss you dearly!

  • amen !!

  • @Blondeebabe123 yes he is missed isn't

  • I like Eric Carr a lot better than Peter Criss

  • Got to say Vinnie Vincent looked better with the makeup on! LOL

  • Mark St John's "hand disease" was that he could'nt keep it away from the glass pipe! (sorry, had to.)

  • lol its ok...its not glass pipe its crack pipe! lol (sorry) RIP Mark St. John!

  • i'm laughing............................

  • Rick Derringer did playon this track. I always thought it was Vinnie, but its Rick.

  • This album marks the new beginning of KISS. It has nothing to do with taking off the make-up. But this albums sets off a different kind of sound for KISS.

  • Oooohhhh deep in the night I am waiting!!!!

  • vinnie vincent may have acted like an asshole, but i swear it was cos he got ripped off by gene and paul, how can anybody deny his contribution to the band. creatures of the night and lick it up are awesome sounding albums which by coincidence features VV playing and writing. dont get me wrong i love kiss, always will but VV fukins rocks on those 2 albums

  • Not just Vinnie, but I also thought Mark St. John on Animalize had some kickass AC/DC like guitar riffs, unfortunately neither made the cut.

  • In my mind Mark st. John was the new permanent member of KISS during animalize. But his hands got some kind of virus or sickness (dunno the excact words for it, Dutch of origin ;) )

And on the Animalize tour his replacement was Bruce Kullick (Yup brother of Bob kullick). This i know for a fact, because i went to the Animalize tour (My 1st concert @ 14 years of age)

  • good job with this vid man its nice

  • love him or hate him olpaul got a hell of a range.i wouldn't even try to sing this .

  • Kiss is awsome! So many great songs they have.

  • and the best song? exiter

  • who is best? kiss

  • My fave song from Lick It Up!Period!

This is great editing ,and timing! Dude you rock!

  • this song kick so much ass.

  • i dont know how true it is but i believe rick derringer actualy did this solo, its been mentioned even by vinie himself that rick derringer did appear on the album and was mentioned on the original release as having appeared by permission of his record label

  • Actually...KISS being spin masters, not many people REALLY "knew" Rick Derringer played on the song until the book "KISS: Behind The Mask" came out, which detaield track by track almsot every song in the KISS catalog (only one or two of Ace's and Peter's solo album songs were mentioned for some reason). I owned an original pressing ofLick It Up and nowhere is Rick Derringer mentioned to my knowledge. And even if (IF) he were, he wouldn't get credit for a specific song knowing Gene and Paul.

  • thanks for clearing this up for me

  • Rick Derringer played on the Alive II CD. Tracks 6-10, Disc 2. (Studio Tracks)

  • Rick Derringer didn't play on Alive II but Bob Kulick did, on "All American Man", "Rockin' In The U.S.A.", "Larger Than Life" and "Any Way You Want It". "Rocket Ride" all was Ace.

How in the workd can anyone confuse Bob Kulick with Rick Derringer?

  • Check your Kisstory book. He didn't play on all studio tracks. There you are correct. Derringer did play on that CD. Checked Google. Some sites say yes, some no. All good though. Derringer played on "Exciter" from Lick it Up?.

  • No, you check KISS Behind The Mask. I'll even give you the page: 293. Bob Kulick says he played solo and whythm guitars on "All American Man," "Rockin In The USA" and "Larger Than Life." "Rocket Ride" was Ace's song, and "Any Way You Want It" never had a lead solo anyway. If Derringer played on that song, who cares? There's no lead to it and it's never been reported he played on it except by rumor. Rumors always seem to be taken as fact, even when the truth is finally printed. Why??

  • You're wrong. Derringer didn't play on Alive2. Don't always believe anything Gene or Paul put in writing. They are often wrong.

  • didn't he play on flaming youth off of destroyer?

  • can't you guys just get along? no matter what both of you guys have read or heard, neither of you know who really played on those songs.

  • deuce1231 is correct in his facts. All good. He steered me in the right direction. We're both big KISS fans, that's all that matters.

  • well good

  • o1kissfan , i agree with you and i disagree with you , ace wasnt comfortable being center stage but check out the first alive album he did a few solid long solos on both she and a 100,000 years before the drum solo .but i do agree he improved alot more after his solo band ,vinnie is also a favorite of mine he did help bring talented song writer and guitarist to bak he and kiss loved to screw with each other it was a two way street here ,

  • The opening track to Lick It Up. A good fast song to start things off. This LP brought KISS back. They had to do something. At least they didn't have to walk around looking over their shoulders anymore.

  • I beleive creatures was what helped bring them back

  • It might have, but a lot fans were disappointed with Elder. That, in my opinion, is was hurt KISS back then. Plus, they were going through a lot of changes at that time.

  • Musically speaking yes, but sales and popularity wise, not at all.

  • Check out Genes booty 00.30-00.33 :D <3

  • Eric Carr.

I Miss you. And I hope you're in a better place now. <3

  • this as a better video than any from this era great job!

  • where is vinni now a day's

  • vinnie Vicent saves the Kiss(exelent guitars works)

  • vinnie vincent put the fire back in kiss

  • cool editing!!! great job.

    cheers!

  • Is that you who is on the video? Good job, if you haven't written that the video isn't unofficial, I wouldn't have noticed that.

  • awesome song and awesome editing job on the video

  • Heavens on fire, thrills in the night, love it loud, who wants to be lonely,uh! all night, exciter,a million to one, black diamond, war machine, forever, reason to live RULES!!! <3<3<3 and the others too<3

  • Its the best.

  • WOW that grainy live footage of KISS circa 82-83 is some awesome awesome stuff... nothing beets faded, raw concert footage of KISS

  • The good 'ole days of the 16 mm.

  • Great Vinnie Vincent colaboration.

That guy switched the sound of KISS instantly.

    Too bad he was dropped.

  • Vinnie Vincent & Eric Carr pulled PISS out of the slumps!!Vinnie & Eric are ITALIAN GOD'S!!

  • vinnie vincent avoided signing contracts to join kiss. too this very day, he has never been official full pledged member of kiss. he always wanted another contract deal, or another this another that. too late, we now have another guitar player.
