  • Holy Crap I just figured out something, if its 40 push ups in two minutes I'm crazy fast! I did 73 in 53 sec! Holy shit

  • Im strong I can lift 30kg a hand yet I havent been able to improve pass 25 press us per repetition...

  • i can drink a slurpee

  • I'm 4 and I can do 400 pushups and 1600 situps. My mile is 30 seconds :)

  • @BusinessKi11ER Bullshit, I can do 10,000 pushups, speak 30 languages, and slay dinosaurs with my 12 foot dick.

  • make sure to go down nice and deep (thats what she said) neeeh he heh

  • i can do 45 push ups 120 sit ups my mile is 6:40 I'm only 13

  • @dbfordateam good work I'm 14 and I'm training for the U.S. Marines but I can do only 39 pushups 120 situps but my mile run is 7:29 how can I improve this or be as good as you?

  • @ZombieAlein You just keep practicing :).

  • @ZombieAlein Advice from someone who has maxed all the events on the APFT: practice at least 5 times a week. These are all meant to be a measure of how much time you put into your fitness and to see how committed you are to becoming a soldier. These events are not a measure of strength, but of endurance, and endurance comes only from practice. I suggest doing exercises in sets. I started with 10 sets of 10 pushups, 30 seconds rest. I did 82 on the test. Give it time and effort. work hard.

  • @gasmaster01 Thank you I have 4 years left til I sign up

  • @ZombieAlein Do you just do 1 mile? It's 1.5 in the UK.

  • @getlostupig I do 1.5 myself just to push myself

  • @ZombieAlein Is 7:49 your 1 mile time then? I could probably hit about that time with what I'm like right now.

Like you; sit-ups are much easier to do for me. Push-ups are so fucking tough D:

  • @getlostupig if you want to get better at push ups just get some weights and just hold them with your fists pointing outward not like when you lift for your bicep muscles amd just keep lifting and that is how pushups were easier for me

  • i can do 42 push ups and 65 sit ups.

my mile run was 8:48 but i wasnt wearing running shoes and i started off too fast trying to show off... lmfao.

    oh yeah im 15

  • @awesomeneiss nice

  • 50 in two minutes (requirement of 44 in 2 mins for the UK Army as an Officer)

  • i Can do 28 push up and 64 sit ups for our PT test

  • i cant finally do 43 and i think that you have 2 minutes to do it and u can rest so it isnt horrible my hardest is gonna be the 2 mile run im only 15 but i am not in shape so ive been trying to get into shape

  • im 15 and i am really not in shape at all i mean im short and skinny but underweight and ive been trying to work out and get fit but nothing works i finally started running the other day i get tired like after a minute lolz but now i can jog for 5 minutes straight and im going to try and up the time every week or so but im trying to do this once a day also Regular pushups - 10

    - Regular situps - 10

    - Wide pushups - 10

    - Reverse Crunches - 10

    - Close or Tricep pushups - 10

    - Double crunches - 10

  • His arms are too far apart, they are meant to be in line with his shoulders.

  • Question: are you allowed to take a break in between? for how long?

  • @fxnooodle yes but only in the up position, you only have 2 mins in total and usually if you break for longer than 10 you will be terminated

  • Man I'm glad I'm gonna go through Basic and AIT BEFORE contracting with ROTC. I would be pretty screwed if I don't lol.

  • How long does the program last?

  • 1:13

  • is there any secret to do this right n more easy?

  • @YESMAN977 yeah there is, what i like to do is; when i'm performing the push up for a high number of reps instead of pushing myself up and lowering myself down i just push myself up and completely let my body just fall then push so i don't waste energy lowering myself.

  • @eyesack9 that's not as good cause your not doing as much work so it doesn't do as much for you.

  • @md1997 you missed the point, it's not about getting everything you can out of the pushup, it's about passing the test. you can do pushups all day and night correctly, but when it comes down to it you'll need all the help you can get to perform well on the apft.

  • @YESMAN977 if you feel pain you know you did it right.

  • @md1997 AINT THAT THE TRUTH AHAHAH i couldnt to 3 now ive join in jrotc in high school now i can do 30 n run a mile wooo

  • @YESMAN977 fuck yeah, i'm a girl but i joined and it really gets you fucking fit, i couldn't do pushups for shit and now i do like 20. and run 1 mile, this year we go for 2

  • @md1997 relly u in jfrotc or full on rotc? im in rotc 14 and rank airman

  • @YESMAN977 jnrotc lol

  • I don't like that the military likes to promote cheating on push ups. Locking out a push up puts the stress that is supposed to be on the pectoral muscles, triceps, and shoulders, into our locked elbows. Go to the point right before locking, that's the way it's done. But of course, this is just my opinion.

  • And you obviously have to do what is accepted with the Military. So for a PT test don't listen to me, but when you're bored and feel like training for push ups, go to point before locking. That will help make military push ups your bitch.

  • loving the other dude's entrance face haha

  • can you look down? or do you look forward for them to count?

  • @23baconbits23 you must look forward.

  • i did 64 push ups in 2 minutes then i did 38 sit ups in 2 minutes got a little lazy over the summer lol

  • when i was 51 kg i could do 110 as my max push ups.. now that ive gained 10 kg from gym i can hardly do 80

  • I am currently an MS I (II next Fall) Cadet in AROTC and there has been discussion that PT standards will be modified according to occupation as opposed to gender. i.e. combat arms branch will be more physically demanding than say the medical branch

  • Why can't females do 43 too?

  • @GIsupersoldier females can do 43 but they have to do them in 2mins.

  • I can't do 1

  • 43 no I can't do 10

  • dang 43, looks like i gotta lot of work 2 do

  • @blaquehawq me too man, lol

  • njrotc is getting canceled at my school next year :(

  • 19 to 43 that's a load of bull shit

  • why do men have to do more push ups then women like seirously

  • @aznyang16 because once men go through puberty there stronger than women im not trying to be sexist also women have a higher percentage of body fat so its harder to build muscle

  • lmfao thats the requirements? its time for the seals

  • @goldenblade212 lol the seal minimum is about 100 push ups and you should be able to do about 20 pull ups or more, so don't act like you can do that much. plus you have to be able to carry a telephone pole size log with 7 other people and you have to do sit ups with it too.

  • @deathcreed16 Thats bullshit you're probably not even in the seals. The minimum for the SEAls is the same as the Navy's minimum.. It is RECOMMENDED that they can do at least 80 pushups. Stop exaggerating.

  • @1lilcuz you're prob right about him not being a SEAL, but I'm currently training myself to become one in a few years, i've watched videos of retired SEAL's who said to aim for 100 push ups, 100 sit ups, and 20 pull ups, because that will most likely place you some where in the top of the class, so that is my goal.

  • @psperkins97 I'd like to hear u say that when ur 20 years old

  • Are you kidding me? 19? Dang. Im a 13 year old girl and can do waaaaaay more than that. That is messed up though.

  • 11 ppl cant do a pushup...

  • weight has nothing to do with it i know men and women who are skinny and they can barley do any

  • was that 12 push ups? He's getting close to the women's bar...

  • i use to be in jrotc but my mom pulled me out cause she doesn't want me to join the military :(

  • Why do people in armed forces wear those highlighter belts?

  • i agree i served in the army and was damn proud to do so this mrgreeva needs to shut his f en mouth

  • alright so just curious is there a resting place for pushups? I saw in the situp video that its allowed for you to take a quick break in a sitting up position... if anyone has an answer for me could you message me back here or send a message back at dszy89@yahoo.com thanks! appreciate it

  • I'm a Marine bout to go to Ft Benning for my wings. Can I do WIDE BODY push ups?!?! Or do my arms have to be perpendicular to my body?

    Thanks,

    LCpl. Brooks

  • @Mousetrapers Thats great man you should join the army i'm joining right after high school i'm 17 right now so i'm almost out of here the army will be a great thing for you and well good luck with everything man

  • @meakster1 lol maybey you and mouse will be on the same platoon.

  • @Mousetrapers do it. its the best class u can pick for highschool

  • im in rotc it is very fun

  • OH MY GOSH! :D how hot are they!!! :DDD

  • 43 push-ups for male and 19 for women women are just as good but 19? wow thats well....

  • @atmbob78 Yeah I thought that at first too... But... Some women arent "physically capable" To do more than that so...

  • i was told never to lock my arms when doing push ups. can someone clear me up on whether or not this is a good or bad idea?

  • when your doing the push ups, isnt there a count that you do,that goes like so:1 2 1, 1 2 2, 1 2 3, 1 2 4...and so on, and if u are to do 3 push ups in that three count it counts as one?

  • pushups are the best exercise ever, they train chest, triceps, biceps and anterior deltoids

  • im 14 and i can do 30. by the time i finish highschool i'll do 50 in 2 minutes

  • @PMAN46 Lol only if your really really slow. My max used to be 20 and and now it's 50, that was 4 months ago and I'm 14.

  • @madax132 it took you four months for that? your doing something wrong(no offense)try ladders man you can get way more reps in without burning out...im 14 as well btw

  • BOOT

  • Honestly, most high school athletes can do 43 push ups in a row ( they might do em' rather quickly but with legit form) however pull ups on the other hand, most college kids cant do that...so whats my point? NROTC for Marines is much more difficult compared to Army ROTC

  • Whats the difference in taking 2 years of ROTC in college compared to 4 years in college?

  • @SuRihtanil you have to drill from 6-7 mon wed fri and it is college just that you are taking military lab classes while at the college u attend but you dont get to enjoy the social activities such as smoking, drinking and partying as much as a regular student would because you are in rotc

  • Can you do the 43 pushups pausing?

Because I can't do 43 pushups straightforward,I have to pause.

  • @GTA4FREAK1149 Pausing doesn't count.

  • what would be a better program Air Force ROTC or enroll in air force like like a enlisted man? any suggestion

  • @rive08 dude if i were u id do the ROTC. im only a soph. in highschool, but iv thought about it a lot and ROTC seems the most reasonable. u get ur education and become a 2nd Lt., y not do it u kno? and if u dont get a scholarship, and u end up not liking it, u dont have a service commitment

  • Can a international student with F1 student Visa join the ROTC?

  • dang, theyre cute!

  • I'm going to do ROTC in college but I'm not sure If I should do AFROTC or ARMY ROTC. Any suggestions, I dont want to get all my info from a recruiter.

  • Do Army ROTC, you wont regret it

  • I agree. I was enlisted, but my experience with the Army was for the most part great. Of course every branch is fantastic, just go with what feels right for you.

  • take it from someone who barely endured the horrors of spf changes from active duty AF to army natl guard. I am telling you this to help you. If you decide to go AF, whether active right out of high school, or through rotc, be prepared for endless mountains of paperwork that makes the other branches' paperwork like a third grade essay.

  • @Dgsmustangs12 if your into the air force, then do that

  • @Dgsmustangs12 id say go to whatever school you like and whatever rotc is there then do it, college should be fun not stressful

  • I never lock out my arms. I get as close as I can without locking them that way I have constant resistance.

  • Hmm no idea if this is just me but I'm like 14 and I'm doing 60 pushups continously in just over a minute.

  • How much do you weigh?

  • Just over 8 stone.

  • yeah youll get massive and it ll slow down a bit possibly

  • What you mean I'll get massive and what will slow down?

  • even if hes 12 years old it doesnt matter about his weight, its all proportional.

  • 19 for females??damn.....weak

  • no... not weak. men just gain muscle 80 times faster

  • Dude, it's only a program. It's nothing serious!

  • very. got a female friend who graduates basic in a week, & she can do 49 in 2 minutes. the thinner upper body of a female just means less weight to push up.

  • @samburger077

    tits or gtfo

  • Haha, good point.

  • @bigbadwolf3567 even with tits im sure its easier

  • @samburger077 Your retarded "less weight to push up"... Ok just cuz were a guy doesn't mean were fat and have to push the fat up (Not alwes at least). There is a ratio for body weight and muscle. Im sure I rather pick alot of muscle to push and support my weight then just " Less weight" . Honestly do you people ever think before posting some idiotic comment?

  • @samburger077 what abou those extra weight boobies

  • @cfx3

its ok to pause man jeez

  • @thompson9400 Why would you even bother to reply to a 6 month old comment? that is probably far beyond page 1.

  • @samburger077 no one cares faggot

  • @MedicmanFP Lol thats true noone cares

  • @samburger077 Damn shes strong. I'm a male and i'll be joining soon the Air Force right now I can do 46 push ups in 52 sec ... so i'm doing good :)

I'll be joining the aircadets next week so ... I hope my push up record gos up

  • you have to do 43 correct pushups in one minute dude

  • do you know if there is a time limit?

  • 2 minutes to do 42 i just enlisted and they allowed me to keep my arms wide so i was using some back muscle

  • @SNIPERRussian

damn, i thought that was AFTER basic, so you gota be in shape to enlist then

  • If I'm not mistaken, the enlistment requirements are something like 13 push-ups, 17 sit-ups, & an 8.5 minute mile for males, regardless of age. If you can do the 42 push-ups, 53 sit-ups, & 16 minute 2 mile before you leave, you get an instant promotion from Recruit to Private. So while you're at basic, you're earning $1600 monthly rather than $1400, & then you get it all when you graduate.

  • @samburger077

    o, i see

  • No, I think you are mistaken now gtfo Youtube and go do some revision.

  • I'm not even sure what you're responding to, but either way you're a little 14 year old douche bag. So grow up a little & then we can have an adult conversation.

  • I forgot as well. Mate come back when your balls have dropped kthxbai.

  • What's your fascination with bastardized middle school-style text slang? Just curious. And seeing as how I'm half a decade older than you, you've got way too much extra room in your pants to talk about balls dropping. You're just a little kid who's taking advantage of the impersonality of the internet to say stuff you wouldn't even have time to think of in real life before getting your ass kicked. Oh, you also said you can do 60 push-ups in a minute. Let's see a video.

  • Mate the last word was a joke. Don't suppose you see many 'middle school' children with perfect grammar? If I made the video, you would just criticize me for things like 'Oh your not going down far enough' or something other stupid excuse when you realize I can do it. If you think I was joking then you are clearly mistaken.

  • Not many middle schoolers have perfect grammar. Most are capable of saying "Okay, thanks. Bye." And yes, I would like to critique your push-ups if necessary. If you're performing proper push-ups, I would have nothing to criticize. But even if you don't post a video of it, it's always good to watch a tape of yourself to make sure you have proper posture & a full rage of motion. It's impossible to know if you're doing something right until you see yourself do it.

  • you have to be at a certain weight or at least a minimum of 30% body fat which at meps you will be measured and weighed yeah u have to do 42 push ups between ages of 17 and 20 after basic on your PT

  • i weight 217 and for me push ups are no easy task neither is running i run an 8 minute mile

  • @SNIPERRussian- 217 pounds? damn, it looks like someone should put sown the box of nilla wafers and do some sit-ups...

  • 217 when your 6 ft tall are you stupid marines my height can get in weighing 215 and 220

  • well u have 9 minutes but i run a mile in 8

  • actually, it's 2 minutes. i've done it

  • a scholarship for 43? geez, americans aren't fit. I'm 12 and I can do 43 easily. so can the rest of the grade.

  • ...u must do baby push ups

  • uhh no. maybe there's a difference between american and australian people

  • @kero7642 Since you're 12 I'll inform you a bit. 43 pushups are the minimum. This is a starting point. Once you've shown that you can do the basics, you continually do better until you graduate than can do 71, which is the max, or more. There is also a run and situps to do so all your energy is not going to just pushups.

  • Americans arent fit my ass im in rotc and in competitions we have to do 120 push ups without stopping and im only 16.

  • 120's more like it

  • @DJR492 weird in school the minimum is 20 for boys and only 2 ppl did more then 20. in class we dont do pushups unless its a fitness test which once a year. schools are definitely failing in fitness.

  • @Plumfire2

More like Americans are failing in fitness.

  • @DJR492 You should come to Russia...

    120...don't make them laugh..please

  • dude ur 12 that means u prolly weighless than or barely 100 pounds wait until your a man at 180- 200 its not easy any more beleive me i was 12 once

  • I'm twelve but I'm 178cm tall and weigh 73kg. that's pretty much 5 foot 10 and 155 pounds. and my muscles aren't fully developed yet so I'm much weaker

  • when i was younger i could do 80, not until i video recorded my push up to find out the wrong form, now i can only do about 40-50 max, i do 40 reps 2 sets everyday

  • Haha I feel u man.

  • and ur a dumb ass to FromThe3PointLine u do plenty off work in the rotc fucking idiot.

  • MrGreeva ur a fucking idiot people join rotc not only 4 the money of the military but to learn dicipline and pride their not brainwashing. there protecting ur sorry ass. also gangsters commit more crime. so fuk off u fat fuk. go play ur call of duty.

  • @smoke32123 umm ok where do i start.... YES the military brainwashes, how much honour does it take to rape a POW? to kill innocent civilians? i see no honour in these acts, and tell me this a country with not much defence is suspected of having WMDs and our countries attack, meanwhile North Korea launches 2 nukes and our leaders just look the other way??? and may i remind you we found nothing, *gasp* but we did we found that thing ummm whats it called.... oh yeah oil...fucking clown shoes!!

  • @smoke32123 oh yeah b4 i forget, i also train in shaolin kung fu 5 animal styles so i'm not a fat fuck looool

  • rotc, where you do nothing, and you still get credit for, yay

  • woop woop brainwashing in schools lmao what an amazing idea, catch kids when they are teenagers, when they are looking for acceptance, and guess where some find it.... in rotc XD thats right kids you can join the U.S military, put your life on the line for meer pennies, while you make money for facists, but its ok because you will feel accepted.... you know street gangs work in the same way by recruiting those who ned acceptance, and they kill much less people and commit less crime LOL

  • MrGreeva did you ever think that some join the military not to "make money for facists" but instead because it gives them a sense of honor and pride.

I know all you do is play World of Warcraft and smoke weed and waste your life away but some people actually know what honor is and actually want to do something with their lives.

So go ahead and poke fun at those who want to risk their lives to protect your sorry ass, because it makes you look really cool.

  • @Spectre0160 no they dont protect me you fool, lmao you just eat out ofthe republicans hands dont you, you believe everything the media tells you, well just remember we found no WMDs, and maybe if your country hadnt been so corrupt as to sell Al qaeda weapons for oil then screw them over you wouldnt have got attacked which you WAY over reacted about btw lol

  • Well MrGreeva and you one of those that eat out of the liberals hands. And yes the US military doesnt always protect you since your from the UK but you guys have a military dont ya? So your military protects you so your wrong again.

Also, how the hell did we overact?!? They attacked us for no reason and killed over 3000 innocent civilians! Wow your dumb.

And for your info we didn't originally go there to find WMD's. We went there to kick out an oppressive regime.

    Learn the facts kid.

  • Not even Fox News could make someone this ignorant. I am impressed.

  • TonyBranston just out of curiosity are you saying I am the ignorant one? Just wondering.

  • @Spectre0160 ummm yeah you went to do that in the gulf war of the 90's lol have you not noticed there is an inquiery into the war atm? if you think back it was nothing to do with saddam's regime, and dont say they attacked for no reason! lol you fucked over al qeada years ago did you not know your country was in arms deals with them??? then you screwed them over and guess what they got there own back, and by over reacting i meant the state of fear that swept your country u shat yourselves lol

  • I still fail to see how we overreacted. I will say it again and hopefully you can put your ignorance aside to pay attention.

They attacked us and killed over 3000 innocent civilians, without warning, and without reason. Obviously we are going to be in a state of fear! Anyone with half a brain would be.

And yes we tried in the 90's to get rid of Saddam but the stupid politicians got in the way and made us stop. Dumb move, but that's politicians for you. So we went back and finished the job.

  • @Spectre0160 you over reacted because of the whole culture of fear and paranoia grew out of the 9/11 attacks, by all means i'm not saying it wasnt a terrible thing that happened coz it was...but you really could of handled it better, it was also an attack on the world banks for the evil they commit everyday, and there is no doubt saddam should have been killed along time ago, but we still shouldn't have started this "war on terrorism" it is unjust, immoral, and it ruins peoples lives everyday

  • @Spectre0160 my dad is in the royal marines and he has served in iraq, afghanistan and pakistan and they arent fighting a war, they are simply covering the tracks of the government, they are a front to take the public eye off the main issue, and that is the war stared to make our countries richer, but now that has really pissed off alll the insurgents and its just gunna be a vicious cycle that isnt going to end for a looong time.

  • Well we do agree on that for sure! If you want my honest opinion then yes the war itself is mostly wrong, and yes the government like always is fucking stuff up, and yes it wont end for a looong time. The idea of fighting terrorism to protect other is just and a good idea but the government has changed their agenda and now has "other motives" I'm sure.

In the beginning when you insulted those who risk their lives everyday is my reasoning this discussion.

  • @Spectre0160 Weed is still fun, but other than that i agree with you lol

  • you little bit** Instead of talking crap about these brave men and women, why dont you get a life and do something productive for yourself and for others like so these committed young men and women.

  • @swat90 commited to raping, torturing and making innocent civilians scared for theyre lives??? oh and b4 you get the wrong idea my father is in the royal marines and i still think all the things he does at work are evil, and since joining he has changed the way he thinks and acts..... brainwashing?? i think so

  • Its a fuckin war you dumbass, those shit happens. This world is far from being a perfect place you would like to have. Plus just because some minority group of service members are doing evil thing doesnt mean you should just assume everyone in the arm forces are doing terrible things.

  • @swat90 ummmm no these things dont have to happen in a war lmao, and no i dont assume all are doing these things but the fact that even 1 persons human rights are violated just to make money for all the little pies the government has its greasy little fingers in is in everyway wrong. This isnt a war WW2 was a war where we stood for good, this is just the equivelent of a bully stealing lunch money.

  • well, you are reasonably right. But you have to realize a lot of people join the military b/c they have to feed their family, not that they wanna go and do terrible things. As far as them being brainwashed, I mean the gov is not gonna tell them" oh guys this war is pointless and we shouldn't be here" They gonna try to motivate them and get whatever needs to get done. So that brain washing point is kinda inevitable.

  • @swat90 the brain washing i was talking about is the breaking down of soldiers and rebuilding them as tools for war i think my point is best portraied(spelling) in full metal jacket

  • @MrGreeva

Schools, jobs (corporations), even communities: it's all the same...military or otherwise. Think about it.
