it's just the licking the baby part... baby's put their hands and put stuff in their mouth... and again dogs' mouths are almost everywhere from garbage, to dog parks (full of god knows what) and ect... it's not unhealthy :) just unhealthy to put the dogs saliva or mouth onto baby or baby objects.

Except that a dog's mouth contains far far less bacteria and crap than our mouths do. I feel sorry for the dog and what he might get from the baby!

this is where you're wrong ;) .. dog's mouths do carry quite a lot of bacteria.. do you think someone's mouth would be clean after licking their crotch seceral times a day. Dog's mouth are only good for cuts as the bacteria in their mouth fight of certain things on the cut and help keep it clean. it's like saying all animals have clean mouths ;)

@Jal1515 dog's saliva isn't good for any wound, in fact it's very bad. But I don't think that is any problem for the baby, as long as the diaper isn't like soaked in saliva and the baby has no open wounds...

@daward2 That would depend upon the human in question, but generally, you are wrong. The very thing that is nasty about "trivial" bites (if they don't rip open anything...) is the bacteria in Saliva, cats even more so than dogs.

he doesn't bully them.. the touch is mimic by a dog thing to teach them that they're the one in charge. The touch is like a dog nipping a puppy that he's not doing something right, and should listen to dogs in higher stat. He doesn't punch dogs either, you should really read on how dog packs work or how to be in higher stat than your dog. A lot of people are too fragile with their dogs and that's how many stupid dog owners are forced to give up or put down their dogs cuz they're out of control.

no thanks i don't feel like doing research.. i'm on no televised trainers side.. i know TONS of vets who do the "tsshh" thing to dogs and works.. they don't "stab" the dogs with the fingers.. it's a mimic to a dog nipping saying it's bad.. go read up on wolf pack stuff then you'll know.. all dogs do it to puppies. if you do know dogs you would know this without reading it.

the fragile part i mean is.. people don't train their dogs.. i know a person who's too nice to their dog and he jumps up on people humping them and biting people.. her reaction "Oh Magnum.. stop.." and she's laughing.... that's someone who frankly is TOO nice and isn't stern enough to properly train a dog.. that's how some dogs end up in shelters cuz dumb gentle owners don't know how to properly train a dog.. read my comment before responding.
