  • Hello from Beijing,

Let me answer your question this way: If you are just buying from the Chinese, Mandarin isn't as critical because the company will have English speaking Chinese people to interface with you; however, if you ever intend on selling something to the Chinese, you better speaker good business Mandarin to gain enough leverage.

    Best regards,

  • Shallow content with many errors.

Too simplistic to be very helpful in most areas. I'm not sure how well this guy knows his topic ... he struggles somewhat after he finishes reading his ppt. His content meanders and fades on many issues ...

  • Hi Terence,

I believe everyone is entitled to their opinion, but it might be wise not commit character assasinations of people you do not know. Try not to think so short term as I may become your next colleague or boss in Beijing. Think it can't happen?

    Regards,

    Karl

  • He has the same annoying voice in English and Chinese.

  • How shallow it is... But a classical example of industrial west's mind set...

  • exactly I can not believe this man really did business in China? where in Hong-Kong? I spent two year in center china and that was doing business in China not this video.

  • Hi Caramonn,

Yes, cell phones have reached central China and so more than likely you used one for your business. I first traveled into China from Hong Kong in 1984, I first started studying Mandarin Chinese in 1982 in Taiwan and I think if you can do better than I after 25 years - please be my guest but do not criticise others for trying to do good this world - get the point!.
