The guy borned in Banjul,The Gambia says thank you for your support. You make us proud and may your future visits to the Gambia be better than this one. Try Christmas time. (December 24 th - January 1 st). For the day and night fun part of Banjul. Especially on New Year's day.
Yes a lot in west Africa (especially Liberia) after slavery was abandoned in the US in the late 19th century groups migrated back..google for "American Colonization Society"...
am half gambian and have lived ther half my life..its ok there but other places are better or maybe its just cus am tired of the country..(am not living there anymore)
@Rockstafeller If you don't like the comment fine, but it doesn't hide the fact that I have personally witnessed conflict between white tourists. And the decendents of slaves i.e black brits, black americans in Gambia and unlike you I don't rely on opinium don't equate slavery in Africa with slavery in the Carribean, Latin America, North America. There is no comparison and my sources are the people who lived during those times you have a good ability at not facing historical fact.
I am a proud Gambian and i always want the people to tell the whites that came to our country the right history and they have to respect that dats all and bye.
meen nice video and it really reminds me ma birthplace.but i think u need to learn more and the real history of banjul.becos is wrong to say that it was created to abolish the slave trade.
@senghore1990 I agree with you.... ,but the speaker didn't go into detail just incase he offended some of his audience I've been to Gambia many times. I've witnessed verbal conflict between holidays makers and the decendants of slaves not pretty and unresolved. " He who feels knows it! and It is better to know than to believe"
