Love Twitter, but as you can see I don't get on it very often. I can't believe she deleted her Twitter account. She seemed very invested in tweeting. If she did it because of her boyfriend then shame on her. What about having a sense of self within a relationship.

I was surprised when I heard that she quit Twitter because of the fact that she would actually twitter very often. Twitter is a way of making celebrities be themselves and seem normal to us instead of these statues up on pedestals. She made a video explaining why she quit??

I 100% agree with your appreciation of the celebrity side of twitter in that it is a direct line into their brain even in the ordinary things. The notion that most celebrities are regular people in very irregular circumstances just makes the idea of looking through that window all the more tantalizing. My biggest problem right now is I'm unable to read all the tweets from those I follow. Love the energy tip, very true!

First of all thanks for making this vlog under 5 minutes oh and your hair looks fine by the way. Just because someone Twitters doesn't mean that they are being truthful about what they are tweeting about. Don't automatically believe everything that you read on Twitter. People do what their boyfriend/girlfriend tells them to do if they love them enough to do it. I had to put "happily married" on my channel for example because my girlfriend asked me to. That's just the way it is.

I disagree with you Ester. She quit Twitter because her boyfriend asked her to. She obviously knew that was important to him and she loved him enough to do it. When one is in a relationship, one loses some of their freedoms. That's the price a person has to pay for love. She's not a "stupid little girl". She's a very wise and intelligent young woman.

I see Twitter as the new "In" thing,becomes a must be on,for celebs. I think publicists,and mangers encourage their charges to take part.

I am a bit cynical when a celebrity says they are on twitter,or any other social network meme area. I figure maybe 50% are not the real celeb tweeting. I coud be wrong,but I just have a feeling.

I plug all my transformers "chargers" into a power strip,and turn that off when i am not using it.

I read that Miley is 16, and so may be more influenced by others, especially a boyfriend.

But in general, if one partner sacrifices something she really wants to do just because the other partner says to, that's a red flag for possible controlling and even abuse down the road. In Miley's case we don't know what the "good reason" is she stopped tweeting, but it's worrisome she mentions her boyfriend per se, and not the "good reason" by itself. The "good REASON" should be the reason, not him.

It is terribly sad to see anyone being dictated his or her freedom, in any form. Unfortunately, people settle for that nonsense all the time. However, we really dont know their situation, and what were her reasons for that. It essentially means that the relationship to her was more important than using tweeter. I'm not sure if Miley Cyrus deleted her Twitter account because of her boyfriend or if she (or the people around her-management, etc.) is concerned about her privacy. Disney may have had something to do with it, who knows.

People really need to be careful about what they post on the internet in the first place. You probably know about the woman who had a miscarriage and bragged about it on Twitter because she was planning in having an abortion anyway. Very tasteless and  too much information.

Yeah, her video on YT (have you seen it?) where she raps and explains that she just felt like it was taking over her life and that she was living for "moments" (to Tweet about?) and not for herself, is why she quit but then she should have handed the controls to her manager. That is DIRECT access to her fans. Her fans are what makes her successful. She turned on THEM - not the tabloids.

Great video Lisa. I'm not a huge Miley fan myself, but I do have a problem with the reason she gave for leaving. I don't know why she would leave just because he asked her to, but it seems like a pretty selfish thing to do on his part.

She has a youtube channel she made a video yesterday saying it wasn't her bf it was time to move on. It took up too much time for her and she is moving on.

As you know I love twitter. I love that celebrities that actually run their twitter account are a couple clicks away. I don't go on just for them but mostly for friends and to share pictures and links I like etc. comments on my day to day life, comments on current topics. I like Miley I think she is fascinating in a way.

When I was uploading this video I saw her video and her reasons still don't sit right with me. Twitter is DIRECT access to your fans. She can COUNTER what the tabloids say about her directly to the people who support her career. If she was tired of microblogging about everything going on in her life then that I understand but then that is a matter of self-control and she should have given the controls to her manager or whatever. Not DELETE! I like Miley too. :-)
