@chrisdragon FRaps put my memory down to about 30 Gb when i was sitting at 150 Gb and every 10 mins took up 3-4 Gb . i was recording minecraft , check out my channel if intrested but Fraps is good for temporary recording thou

@PeterGriffano You meant disk space, this is why it's best to put the video output on a drive with lots of space so you can later compress it to your preferred video format. I generally record full screen at 1280x720@60fps (sometimes 30) for all of my videos on my channel.

I use an EzCap/EasyCap and with a working driver, the quality can be great. For only $10, it's not bad at all. Check out my videos and MicahelP96's videos and see for yourself.

We don't use special enhances, we just cut, resize, compress and upload. I know it's not True HD but for $10, I don't think you can beat the price/quality.

Anyways, the Avermedia Gaming HD looks like the best choice as its easy to use, setup and the cheapest top of the line capture device.

You gave it a good go but are your calls based on youtube ups? Youtube doesn't display the original file quality properly. If you see enough Quality Test vids you will soon pick up on differences between the vids even for the same cap device and same cap bitrates. Even at 1080.

You can use HDMI instead of Component via a NEET Converter.

Roxio Game cap is best choice. records in 720p or 1080i at 60 frames per second. It works better depending on your computer its hooked up to with the program. The price isnt to expensive i bought it and it came in 1 day. It has an easy to use editing program. if you want your best bang for buck buy a roxio game capture card.
