  • Fabulous!

  • lastima de la voz....que cagadero!!!!96+

  • OOOOLEE

  • If I was a singer trying to make it...I just would get a day job because I would know I couldn't even compare to Frank!!!!!

  • Dig the organ! Wish that was in the studio version!!

  • I'm latin even I say that the this version is way better than the spanish one... so go fuck yourself !!!

  • Joselito sings Granada much much better than this

  • Cnacion de ' Agustin Lara '' el compositor Mexicano

  • An eternal song...

  • CLAUDIO VILLA LA CANTA IN MODO SUPERLATIVO

  • I dind't liked Sinatras version of Granada. Lyrics are completly different , they doesnt have the magic of the beautiful poetry of the spanish version, bisides, Sinatras' voice was not for singing that type of music that was created for educated voices like Pavarottis, Carreras, Domingos etc. period . Im out of here.

  • @GBADCD Your face? Oh sure...

  • @GBADCD Your face? Aw yeah...

  • wish the studio version had the organ, great version!

  • Frank really swaggers and swings with this tune. Superb live performance.

  • excellent interpretation that are large

  • THIS IS SO AMAZING. a crossover of my two favorite genres of music. <3

  • Fantastic !!! - he had it all

  • The Spanish version is MUCH better

  • @kln807 Then go listen to the Spanish version...

  • @AugustoYeahBaby

I did and Spanish version is MUCH MUCH better because it is the original GRANADA.

  • @kln807 ...as is Frankie Laine´s.

  • @kln807 Que lamentable traducción.

  • @ROTOBISGUR Estoy de acuerdo. La versión original tiene un toque mágico. Me encanta.

  • @kln807 I agree! this is pretty crappy!

  • @kln807 you dont have a clue what Frank is doing with this song...and this is live singing btw.

  • @JadeTomZ i do have a pretty good idea of what he is doing. This version is really good, I love sinatra and the way he sings it is great but if you compare the translation, it does lack a little intensity. That's all I'm saying ;)

  • @kln807 The spanish version is the original one, written by Mexican Agustin Lara.

  • @gnossticc very true long live Agustin Lara

  • @kln807 Yes, but just maybe for a spanish people. :)

  • @kln807 but Frankie´s voice is INCOMPARABLE!

    Chau,

    Silvia.-

  • @kln807

Even though it is true that once you've listen to this song in Spanish, specially if you're from Spain... You will find it perhaps a bit different. However, each singer puts it's own style into a song. And Frank Sinatra does it in a way that attracts more listeners.

  • @MiaAnsola

Sinatra can attract only those who haven't listened the Spanish (original) version and English speakers but cannot impress Spanish speakers who know the REAL GRANADA. No way.

  • @kln807 You're absolutely RIGHT!

This is like Swing and doesn't give the same feeling as the Spanish version does.

  • The greatest singer then and still the greatest now! My idol!

  • Y sin despeinarse, era un monstruo una elegancia incomparable The best of the best ....

  • I really dig Frank's swagger. Oley!

  • maestro!!! i didn't know of a version in ENGLISH,awesome!!! watch your student SINGING..."tenor90210 Granada"

  • Frank is still the best. There will never be another.

  • Sinatra live = what a gas!

You're still numero uno, top of the heap, a#1....

  • Que voz !!!!

    Maravillosa interpretación!!!!

Gracias Augusto por el video de este grande de la canción!!!!

    Instituible!!!!

  • I´m from Granada (Andalucía) :D

It´s a beautiful place in spring (and summer too, but without snow and very hot into the town). Beaches and high mountains in the same city. Sun and snow in the same place. The cheapest city, good drinks (BEER 1925, SANGRIA, TINTO DE VERANO, REBUJITO, ETC), good food (TAPAS, PAELLA, GAZPACHO, MIGAS...) and hot women (MOST) and good FIESTA, paradise? No, Granaaaada....HAHAHA.

And hot man, too. ;D here one, HAHAHA.

    Visit Spain!

  • H,e maybe great in his unique style and don't get me wrong he is one of the greatest singers of all time, I like him a lot , but GRANADA song needs to be taken more seriously.

  • HE HAS SUCH AN AMAZING RANGE!!!

  • Frank was the man!

He didn't take the song too seriously.

  • Fritz Wunderlich does this best

  • @Thorneycroft1937 In the Wunderlich's style (classical) of course he does this best... but in the Sinatra's style no one can beat

  • @AugustoYeahBaby I agree that Sinatra does the best modern version of this song, still prefer Wunderlich's classical recording

  • @AugustoYeahBaby

I love Sinatra, and this is a really good song. But I dont know if you know that the original version is in spanish and it is a classical song, often sang in opera. If you compare the lyrics, they differ a lot. I think that the lyrics in Spanish have more depth and can relate a little bit more to the actual city of Granada, Try listening to the song in spanish sang by Placido Domingo and let me know what you think. I think you would like it.

  • @Thorneycroft1937 I just listened to his version and it is really good! Unfortunatelly I don't understand the lyrics, and so I can't really understand what he is saying but his version is amazing!

  • @Thorneycroft1937 Thats true

  • You made my day..Wonderful, lov this mans voice!!!

  • olé!

  • Thank you for posting this...

  • Another great Billy May arrangement (with the bridge cut out), conducted by Nelson Riddle !

  • Frank and Desi Arnaz can sing the best versions of this song! :D <3

  • Fantastic!

  • I love Sinatra, however this song has been sung by so many other artists with better results because the english version is in my opinion, a little forced by the lyrics and the voice made a lighter version of it that did not require a wide range of voice. Hear the german version with Fritz W or Javier Solis in Spanish. To me those are the best versions. I think that Sinatra is great though. it is just not the song or version for him. IMHO.

  • This is the first time I've ever heard Sinatra sing this one. He's good.

  • @chicazup Harsh much? Frankie Lane was also a very gifted and talented singer...obviously the likes of Sinatra are on another planet, but Frankie Lane has had some great tunes, give a listen to 'Rose, Rose I Love You'

  • che bello.......un uomo fantastico dalla VOCE E STILE INCONFONDIBILI!!!

  • Frank sang this song the best.

  • His dancing! Lol.

    Sinatra forever... :)

  • Truly I am a big fan of Frank Sinatra however Frankie Laine did a better job making it sound like more of a ballad than a pop song, listen to how he holds the note at 103 in the Vinyltovideo posting.

  • @kennelguy No credit taken from Frankie Laine, who was an exceptional performer, but It's not really a fair comparison. Frank Sinatra sang this song as the arrangement intended it to be sung. Personally, I really like this version as it's a fine blend of traditional and pop. It's a nice alternative to what you would typically hear in a "Granada" arrangement.

  • Preciosa canción y preciosa ciudad...

    Recomiendo visitarla!

  • What the heck? It should be a crime that this video doesn't have more views while Nicki Minaj's trash has millions. The modern world is sad. Sinatra is the man and this performance is beyond spectacular.

  • You're right. Music of this caliber should be having a lot more viewings. Unfortunately, most of the people today are tone deaf. Anyway, the version of Granada is really smoking! Quite a performance. Thanks so much for bringing this material to us.

  • @jazzsingerableful listen to Frankie Laines version of this.,,, Mr. Sinatra dont have NEAR the power in he's voice...

  • @jazzsingerableful I've never heard of Nicki Minaj and I'm 17, so there's hope XD! Plus I'm sure whoever he is, his music won't be listened to over 40 years from now :P

  • @jazzsingerableful You are so right!!! I can't believe the trash that people listen to now!!! No one holds a candle to Frank!

  • @jazzsingerableful Yes, it's very sad, and even more to see the videos of Alfredo Krauss with 3000 views.

  • Love it! Great jazzy take on an Opera song. Only Frank could do it so well!
