if dave wanted to do the wall anything he would have done something close to it. he didntt even want to do this song on the live 8 shows when roger wanted it, and he even avoided it for the on an island tour as well. he has also given many coments that the only reason he joined waters for live 8 was to not regret it. he would not join roger sad to say. specially know with rick gone, i dont think it would even be right for floyd to unite without rick

For those of you too young to understand, The Wall is a metaphor for isolation.

This entire movie was based off of the incident where Syd Barret spat in the face of a fan trying to climb over the gate that separated them from the audience during a concert, along side Barrets deteriorating mental psyche.

My dad tells me he watched the film while he was high, when it was over he looked over to his room-mate at the time and said "I didnt know we were living in the wall" Although the times have changed and views are still slightly different the younger generation (such as myself) might not "get" this sort of thing, but i definately do, i love this band and think theyre still a major part of music now as they were when they first started playing

never will happen for a long term tour. ROger and Dave both are arrogant and still pissed off. Dave barely even wants to play as PInk Floyd for more than a show here and a show there. He feels its played out and not what he's into anymore. Roger has played with nick and rick on occation, and I could see them doing a tour in all honesty. I'd kill for an Animals tour. Roger's Dark Side of the Moon tour rocked, as did David's P.U.L.S.E. Tour which also had Dark Side in its entirety.
