If you want to compare previous seasons, then your assumption would have led to TCU beating BSU in the fiesta bowl, considering they won over BSU in 2009. BSU's laughable schedule is not worth more than the impressive wins TCU has had over Oregon State( on the road), Utah, and Air Force.
BSU is not a dominant team. They SQUEAK out wins. They are decent at best. If they played in a AQ conference they would finish with two losses in their best years. They have no depth which would absolutely kill them by mid season.

I do believe TCU would have beaten Boise St. this year had they played. Boise St.'s defense is suspect, and on occasion we do turnover the ball. TCU has been rock solid, and is a great team all the way around.

@cougarbart That's not true. Boise State often gets a top ranked opponent in the first few games, but after that, most powerhouses are focused on in conference competition. Scheduling a big game in the middle of conference play is difficult so you can't blame those teams for Boise State's mediocre schedule. Boise State needs a good conference to get a decent schedule... Of course, that's why they're moving to Mountain West.

Boise State has been national champions twice. Once in the 50's winning the Junior college playoffs, and being one of the first teams to win the 1AA playoffs in 1980. We just beat a team who were the national champions when our school had just been founded as a local junior college. Thats the thing about BSU, Raise the bar and yes will get battered about - for a couple years, then will start winning, and then winning big. But like ND 80 some years ago,everyones scared,and wants to ignore us

Nobody schedules home and home. Not TCU, not byu, not utah. If you are from a shitty conference like the WAC, do not expect a home and home. That is why Utah scheduled teams like Michigan and Notre Dame in a 1 game deal, to do what they can to get national exposure at any cost.

DWT, there are only 6 Big Time programs in the country. USC, Texas, Florida, Alabama, Oklahoma, and LSU. And Ohio St if your from the Midwest. Both defenses were outrageous-especially against the run. Both quarterbacks really have played much better throughout the year. BSU receivers just made a few more plays while TCU's made just a couple costly mistakes. Either of these teams can play with anyone and win. BSU doesn't have a roster full of 5* athletes but they have a few...

I dont understand how they could be disrepected. They played great all year. Since 2000 they are like 116-15 maybe some of these bigger schools should man up and pencil us in there schedule. The TCU Defense did show up. They held the #1 offense in the nation to 10pts and Dalton gave Boise the other 7. Boise St Defense is what won the game. TCU coaches abandoned the run way to early and the QB play was horrible along with sweet dropped passes all night. Hats off to Boise. Their coaching calls and D-Fense won that game. and Hicks, thanks for the dropped pass in the endzone...WTF!
TCU handed this one to the Broncos. They played scared and had very poor play calling on offense. They didn't run the ball and looked like a deer in headlights all night. Horned Frog fans are eating their words
BSU shouldnt have run the ball so much, TCU totally dismantled their running game. BSU's only successful drive was a series of quick passes. i thought that the play calling was a little stubborn and ineffective, if they would have stuck to what was working they would have scored way more

"playoffs" are needed. but, the reason they can't get anyone to play them is because the other big name teams already have their own difficult schedule to deal with and adding a team like boise st isn't what you want to do. most OOC games are easier games to work out kinks and rest players while still getting the W.

@cougarbart That's not true. Boise State often gets a top ranked opponent in the first few games, but after that, most powerhouses are focused on in conference competition. Scheduling a big game in the middle of conference play is difficult so you can't blame those teams for Boise State's mediocre schedule. Boise State needs a good conference to get a decent schedule... Of course, that's why they're moving to Mountain West.

Boise State has been national champions twice. Once in the 50's winning the Junior college playoffs, and being one of the first teams to win the 1AA playoffs in 1980. We just beat a team who were the national champions when our school had just been founded as a local junior college. Thats the thing about BSU, Raise the bar and yes will get battered about - for a couple years, then will start winning, and then winning big. my dad is a coach at BSU, the coaches come over all the time...florida has never called bsu. they dont get to choose who they want to go against. and when bsu tries to schecule harder opponents they dont agree to play at bsu, cause they are afraid of getting beat. bsu does play Vtech and oregon state next year...and if u r a florida fan, ur coach came from a program like BSU so shut the fuck up.

Nobody schedules home and home. Not TCU, not byu, not utah. If you are from a shitty conference like the WAC, do not expect a home and home. That is why Utah scheduled teams like Michigan and Notre Dame in a 1 game deal, to do what they can to get national exposure at any cost.

DWT, there are only 6 Big Time programs in the country. USC, Texas, Florida, Alabama, Oklahoma, and LSU. And Ohio St if your from the Midwest. Its very hard to get a game against these teams in the preseason if you are top 20. They like tuning their skills against decent easily beaten teams. Nothing wrong with that. There sched are hard enough. They cant risk their season ending if TCU or Boise beats them. You have to schedule those games 5yrs ahead and its never a home game. O well

I'm a BSU fan but people arent giving TCU enough credit. They were a great team and should of beat BSU but our defense stepped it up and made the plays

Both defenses were outrageous-especially against the run. Both quarterbacks really have played much better throughout the year. BSU receivers just made a few more plays while TCU's made just a couple costly mistakes. Either of these teams can play with anyone and win. BSU doesn't have a roster full of 5* athletes but they have a few...

the worst part of this all is that the Big Conferences still are not giving Boise St respect and it will take TCU 2 or 3 more years of solid play to get respect back. No matter who won this game. The winner would get nothing and the loser would be punished. Who know either of these teams maybe could have played with the big boys like Utah did last year. Now we will never know and TCU gets punished for loosing a close game and Boise Still gets disrespected. Its was a stupid match up

I dont understand how they could be disrepected. They played great all year. Since 2000 they are like 116-15 maybe some of these bigger schools should man up and pencil us in there schedule. Its not our fault we destroy everyone we beat and we come from a smaller school with less money. Imagine how well we would do if we got paid like the bigger schools. Prob have the same record we do now in a tougher conference.

The only chance the Frogs and Bronchos have at respect is to somehow sched 1 opponent in the top 5 every year, beat them, they play at least 2 more teams ranked in the top 20 during the season, beat them. Then win their bowl game. I've been a TCU fan for life surrounded by Big 12 and SEC. I know the way they think. It tough but when your little guy you have to win and win more

to your the point you made about Big Confernce money helping each program. I know the last things most Big 12 schools want is for TCU to join. Based on the location of the campus in DFW and how nice it is, we would start stealing big recruits from Tx Tech/ A&M / Ok St. and Baylor. Kids would want to stay in a big city with a team that is in a BCS conference. If a kid from Houston or Dallas cant get into Texas, they would head to TCU instead of Lubbock. It would be TX / OU/ Then TCU's big 12

The TCU Defense did show up. They held the #1 offense in the nation to 10pts and Dalton gave Boise the other 7. Boise St Defense is what won the game. TCU coaches abandoned the run way to early and the QB play was horrible along with sweet dropped passes all night. Hats off to Boise. Their coaching calls and D-Fense won that game. and Hicks, thanks for the dropped pass in the endzone...WTF!

BSU shouldnt have run the ball so much, TCU totally dismantled their running game. BSU's only successful drive was a series of quick passes. i thought that the play calling was a little stubborn and ineffective, if they would have stuck to what was working they would have scored way more

If they threw the ball every time then TCU could tighten up the pass defense. Boise ran the ball knowing the odds of it being unsuccessful to keep TCU guessing. Its Chess not checkers dip shit

i agree... "playoffs" are needed. but, the reason they can't get anyone to play them is because the other big name teams already have their own difficult schedule to deal with and adding a team like boise st isn't what you want to do. most OOC games are easier games to work out kinks and rest players while still getting the W.

I listen to savage religiously, but I'm glad I could listen to the ge since I was at work. Man I wish I could of watched it. It's recorded though. 104.3 did broadcast AM 580 I found out halfway so the sound was better. GO BSU!!!!!
