The question 'What/who created the universe?' (and if it was the Big Bang Theory 'What created the Big Bang) will be one asked throughout mankind and I doubt we will ever figure out the real answer. That said, I don't think it's correct to just assume it is a self conscious being, especially one that judges and punishes based on moralistic decisions.

I used to ask questions like "what is existence?", "what is time?", "what makes me who I am?" and "where did everything come from?" Science CANNOT answer these things as they are not measurable.
is it an answer if it explains nothing? you define god to fit the question. science poses a question, finds evidence, and the answer comes from that evidence. you say god did it. nothing more.

Just remember that we have limited understanding and we do not have the ability to think outside of time. God is eternal, we do not understand that, but it is. We can't proof that GOD exist or doesn't. God is out of logic, human logic. we are so small in univers that we know just 4% of the observable universe.our knowledge is fasifiable(k.Popper) . believing in the existence of God is an "act of belivieving" it's a choise. it's not rational.but don't forget that "sciences" are based on irrational propositions.example . maths 3.14; i=a2=-1 ! the origin of big bang! and so... we have to ovoid to be arrogante. u can believe or no but u can't justify it

@mh4777abc These people may very well have seen Bigfoot or Nessie. Of course no knowledge is absolutely certain. However, is one really justified in one's belief or claim to knowledge based on evidence that has not been revealed to that particular person?
A lot of theists I have spoken with before have answered "no" to that question in regards to UFOs etc., but where their gods are concerned, they make an exception and will never explain why.

@MarkusLMC29 I can tell you one of the reasons I believe in God is because Love is the universal truth of life. With all the would be gods to walk this earth only one stands out above the rest and that is Jesus.
Another reason is: with all the empires that ever ruled and all the wars ever fought, one man won the world over using only love.
My heart tells me that love is the way, you surely know that love is good in your heart because God was the one who wrote it on there for you.

If there was a beginning to matter then it must be assumed there was nothing and not nothing something, but nothing nothing. EternalCreator has given all of us the means to lead a moral life and the ability to solve all our problems. It doesn't take much of a mental leap to do these things. We can start this process today but you'll have to take a look at the world and know that mankind has unlimited opportunities.

But because Jesus worked miracles and there were so many witnesses one would almost have to believe it. @DreamteamTA There was only ONE TIME that Jesus claimed he was the Son of God. He asked his disciples "who do people say that I am?" Only Peter said he was the son of God. That's the only time that question was answered. The Gospel of Luke and the Acts of the Apostles, Luke said he got his info 2nd handed, verified what he could and made up the rest. Luke did not have the recquisites to be an Apostle. He never knew jesus. A lot of Xtianity came from Luke. Y'all can read it.

The question 'What/who created the universe?' (and if it was the Big Bang Theory 'What created the Big Bang) will be one asked throughout mankind and I doubt we will ever figure out the real answer. That said, I don't think it's correct to just assume it is a self conscious being, especially one that judges and punishes based on moralistic decisions.

The brain does not have the capacity to understand these things. You will go round in circles using scientific or philosophical theories. GOD is the answer. I studied philosophy and received top marks. I discovered that religion provided more answers and now I don't dwell on those questions. I used to ask questions like "what is existence?", "what is time?", "what makes me who I am?" and "where did everything come from?" Science CANNOT answer these things as they are not measurable.

If God didn't create everything then who or what did? Someone had to of created all the animals and insects and humans. There is no way all of this just popped out of nowhere randomly. Just remember that we have limited understanding and we do not have the ability to think outside of time. God is eternal, we do not understand that, but it is. Just as the Trinity is difficult to grasp so is the eternality of God. But that does not make it any less true just because we do not understand it.
