In response to why the title was changed: 4Kids (because they are stupid, what else can I say...) tried to AMERICANIZE the entire show. There is no nudity, Renee/Zakuro's cross was changed to a pointy THING. And there are practically no words. It's insane, I know.
I thought the language barrier problem was handled fairly well for the fact 4Kids were trying to make the series take place in America. Spanish is a common language in the US that many people don't know.
A bigger story change would be that the villains wanted Earth because their race was actually from Earth and had to leave because of climate change (only to find a worse planet) as opposed to the villains being jealous that humans have Earth while they messed up their planet and need a new one

The aliens want to RECLAIM earth because they see that humans, the new dominant species, are killing the planet. Naturally, the aliens think that we humans should not be allowed to do that. And so Tokyo Mew Mew begins...

I totally agree on Mew Mew power, i watched both English and Japanese versions and there is scenes were Dren starts to have feelings for Zoey/Ichigo, they edited out the part where Dren actually kisses Zoey/Ichigo on her lips, they edited that out. so i totally agree but i think you should have given a lower score for the editing part.
I'd give the story changes a 1.5/5, really. The biggest change they did was in episode 1 of Mew Mew Power (which was episode 12 in Tokyo Mew Mew, somehow), where Mark found out that Zoey was a Mew Mew. In the original, he didn't find this out until episode 36. Not to mention the fact that Renee was original a depicted as a devout Christian, which they completely took out of the dub. (for example, her necklace and weapon were originally cross-shaped, they edited it to make them look like sticks)

You forgot something when you did a review on pokemon. They also changed their names. Ash was Satoshi, Misty was Kasumi and Brock was Takeshi. Plus the direct english translation of the Japanese name is Pocket Monsters although it is only a subtle change which didn't make a real difference. ( "Poke" from Pocket and "mon" from monsters) POKEMON RULZ!

I have a friend who used to watch Mew Mew Power instead of Tokyo Mew Mew, and when I bought Ichigo cosplay for a con and showed her a picture, she hugged me screaming "You're gonna be ZOEY!!!!"
They had to drag me OFF her. D8

Speaking of changing names they also did that on Ultimate Muscle too, (which you didn't mention) - Terry was 'Kid', Kid was 'Nisei', Dik Dik was 'Gazelleman' and Wally was 'Sieuchin' for example. Anyways - love your reviews, they're pretty funny and pretty spot on too, lol.

You forgot something when you did a review on pokemon. They also changed their names. Ash was Satoshi, Misty was Kasumi and Brock was Takeshi. Plus the direct english translation of the Japanese name is Pocket Monsters although it is only a subtle change which didn't make a real difference. ( "Poke" from Pocket and "mon" from monsters) POKEMON RULZ!

Out of curiosity, if I worked for 4Kids and restored the cut stuff and made "The New Mew In Town" the pilot episode as originally planned (though the Animal Instinct song and Zoey's first henshin BGM may have to be slightly extended to compensate for the restored cut footage), will Al Kahn fire me?

i really love this review, the original japanese was WWAAYY better than the stupid 4kids dub.
i noticed that they cut out the IMPORTANT scene in the first ep! (When Ichigo[Zoey] Merges with the Irimote wild cat < changed that too!)
