  • hahahah, very well done but just sounds goofy as all hell. thank you.

  • I think part of this song is in If And When We Rise Again by Streetlight Manifesto.

  • Good job! I don't know if you are Hungarian, but I am!

  • Where can I get this MP3? good job

  • what video program do you use to do this?

  • Loved it all. Great to hear the unusual Bass Uke..those strings look amazing!

  • @julesmail67

It's actually an Ashbory bass which has silicone strings if I remember correctly.

  • Hey, that was a good idea!

I'd never think before that Brahms' Hungarian Dances also work in ska and reggae!

    Congratulations!

  • You look like a younger Ian Anderson...and play a whole bunch of obscure instruments...and know classical music...hmmm....

  • Awesome job! I love the sound of the Ashbory bass with the Uke and using the melodica was pure genius. What did you use to record each instrument?

  • I love it! : )

  • cool

  • nice....bit.....the bass has a silicon strings?:D

  • its a small bass called the ashbury bass or smthng like that

  • Pretty bitchin'. Nice work.

  • Love it!!! From Canada.

  • Like the sound of the Ashbory bass. I plan to have a robot band someday and will incorperate an Ashbory bass robot called Ash. It will have movement like real guitar players. By the way, can you guys do Hot Butter's Popcorn?

  • @trainguy111 Hey, that is a good idea!!

  • brilliant man! sitting here trying to find a piece from the romantic period to play on bass as part of my diploma course and you just answered it! good on ya from ireland!

  • @criostoirmcconville Glad to help!

  • great work!

  • No one can refuse a request on the day of his daughter's wedding..

I hope your first grandchild be a masculine one.

Haha. Reminded me of The Godfather.

    Awesome.

  • great! congratulations from Argentina.

  • Hey, thanks for reminding me of that ingenious piece of music! I think long ago I heard it in some flick or so and was fanatically but due to age-related greenness and lack of internet (it's veeeery long ago I suppose) unsuccessfully looking for its name and composer. Now I know it (yaaaaay!!!) but can't remember the movie (d'ou!). ;)

If I guessed i'd say in one of the first two Addams family movies when Morticia and Gomez are dancing. Gotta have to find out.

    Thanks again, logophile!

    lunte

  • Isn't e-bay great? :)

  • you have thailand fan of your video.

i like your sound very much.

  • lol in all the shots of you playing the uke, you look like Murray from Flight of the Conchords.

  • I need to check out this Murray character to see if this is a compliment! lol

  • if youve never seen flight of the conchords, you need to. It's a fantastically hilarious show. =D

  • LOL holy S he does look like murray....stuff you jemaine..stuff you brett...and stuff you again jemaine!.....why do i get double stuffed??

  • @texazranger04 Just pullin' yer tit, mate.

  • Hát ez nagyon szép. Thanks in the name of the hungarian rudeboys.

  • great stuff per usual ;-)

  • impressive!

  • hey good stuff. what's with the capo up near the tuners on the Ashbory?

  • It keeps downward pressure strings for a good pinch on the nut.

  • oh good idea! i have a nasty buzz on my E string, this might just do the trick for that. thanks!

  • grande!

  • hello logophile! fun video :)

i played that tune in a high school contest, on violin.

i too dig the ukes, glocks, melodicas.

glad you enjoyed our dreidel video -- many thanks!

    rebecca

  • Haha, that's really cool.

  • can ashbory basses be made to play the range of a bass guitar or are they stuck in the lower range?

  • i guess it would just be a matter of getting different string gauges.

  • I am not sure I understand your question. Isn't a bass guitar in the lower range? The Ashbory has the exact same range as an electric bass, as far as I know.

  • Very nice - Happy New Year !

  • great stuff!

    happy new year!

  • well done!!

  • Nicely played. Great combination.

  • Wow. That was really good. I had a bad impression of you from that video about spiders with too close video and silliness but here you're serious and a totally different person. What an improvement.

  • Classical AND Ska in one song!? Who could ask for more?

Haha, plus extra stars for looking like a lot like Murray from FOTC!

  • Man, you are so talented! Loved it!

  • love the melodica work. thanks for the post!

  • skavoovie! 5 stars

  • Too cool!

  • Almost reminds me more of some of Nina Rota's early scores for Fellini than of ska. "Nights of Cabiria," perhaps. Very cool. And how could a ukulele player not love that bass? *****

  • Another gem brother!

  • excellent! nice job on the melodica part.

  • Thank you, Russ. I really enjoyed watching your vids. BTW, my name is Russ, too! :)

  • cheers russ!
