@iEatGarbage nope, it works on all, not sure for mac, but on the windows left-click, more, go settings, icons and physics tab and move the slidding thingy from straight to free form.

Dont though, its annoying, just answering u question.

If by tilt you mean hit and tilt like in the flipper machine tilt, then just go to the same place and click always bump.

Every one you can get bump top for FREE now On the official site, Because BumpTop is being bought by google and they will stop updating the app too. So search BumpTop in google and yell find the official side. BTW THIS IS NOT A TRIAL.

nice BUT since EVERYthing you do with BumpTop, is stored by the app itself.......

imagine the apps preferences or cache files get corrupted.... all your files are basically stored on the Desktop... all the sorting work....gone.

if this app would manage everything in the background with normal finder/folder structure.... no1.

like this... i would not use it.

I really like the idea behind this as i've seen the vista one before but for me I like my desktop to be neat and tidy rather than have things all over it.

I could imagine using bumptop in a shop where they have a table style computer where you brows products and such and multiple people can use the desktop through touch.

But I think ms have something like that in the works already.

I have been bugging Chris about this for a while now. He once released some great videos about software up until he moved over to the Mac. As I joked with him about going back to the PC since the PC has more software. The problem is of course the mac. Also what Chris forgot to add about the beta is that it's a beta, but they have a form to fill out asking if the beta should be released. The need to know if anyone is using a mac and if it's worth releasing. Oops. :)

Honestly its pretty cool, and it looks kind of fun. But the fun side of it would eventually get old and I think I would probably be even LESS organized with this thing. I'd lazily chuck things into the corner, put things in piles and forget I had and not be able to remember where I put it later.

See my computer desktop is good because its relatively neat. Because it doesn't let me make it not neat. My REAL desktop however, is a complete and utter mess. Because it can be. And because I'm lazy.

I think they will soon - Apple (well, usually!) likes to wait until both the technology and the application of the technology is perfect before releasing it into their products.

I've tried out tablet and touchscreen PCs and I found them annoying to use. A mouse just makes more sense.

I'm guessing that, when Apple does do a touchscreen, it will be a completely new experience for us, rather than just the same old interface but you use your fingers instead of a mouse.

Anyway we'll see!

I've used DeskSpace before, and it was pretty cool. It is a desktop cube from the perspective of outside the cube. BUT, DeskSpace can't move the icons around like that. I may have to look into this.
