The chassis doesn't have the proper ridgity to withstand hardcore racing. Thats why you'll never see a drifter or a sprinter racing a civic, even if it does have 6000000bhp, because after a few races the whole body and chassis will be completely warped to hell.
I do have a passion for tuning. An extreme passion, but "mackin out ya ride" with stupid shit like cat back exhaust systems and short ram air intake systems isn't tuning. And no, I'm not a big fan of american made cars either, but to make a car good you have to start with a purpose built base, and civics are in no way built to take the kind of abuse that comes from racing.
