@Haloman0327 ... at the time, we were running just over 600whp... so the 700 was a hp @ the flywheel estimate. We have since far exceeded the performance of this first build. Thanks for asking!

Auto trans = consistancy, less chance of driver making an error too. Slush boxes are crap, but a pro auto box will get the job done right every time.

All you GT-R tuners have to ally up. Nismo has great suspension for the car. you have great engine and Samurai Speed has and ubreakable gearbox (50% stronger gearbox)

A better cam settup ......... I think the car really need diet the GT-R is really heavy then the GT-R don't need so much power. I would make it as light as possible (2650lb - 3100lb max) - better handling, the GT-R will be faster.

Didn't have a better cam setup at the time... tried a few different things since. We also weren't trying to make a production... it was "note taking" at the time. We just decided to share it. Constructive criticism is always welcome. You do come across as combative, however. Have you done any videos? Any work that we might look at for suggestions on how to improve? We're car-guys... not video producers... so we admittedly could use a little help. Look forward to seeing some of your work.

this video sucks and so does the guy driving the car, take it to the track and post some data this video offers nothing for anyone to take away except the exhaust sound of the car and that the guy driving has no track experience or even knowledge of where the gas tank is located. thanks for wasting 4 mins and 8 secs of my life.

We're sorry that you wasted your time watching this clip. Had you read any of the information in the previous comments made... or taken the time to read WHEN the video clip was thrown together, you would realize that this was made in the earliest days of tuning the GTR... when no one really had done anything significant with the platform. At any rate, the goal of the video clip was simply to show some of those who were interested at the time as to what the car was shaping up to be.

Yes they are paddel shifters but this car is far from normal Automatic..It has DSG ( Basically 1st.,3rd and 5th gear have there own clucth and 2nd,4th & 6th have there own clucth) This makes shift response less than half a second....Audi and VW and a few excotics use this.

Yeah that's true, from the article read that with the VDC off the tranny's life span is only 12months.....

Yea ur bout correct..But doesnt apply to the 2010 models..Nissan had to soften the VDC Launch control cuz so many people was abusing it and killing there trannys

i think 600 crank hp is reliable power cos generally 25% more power over stock is a very reliable power, but beyond that the risk is growing exponencial with stock internals and powertain.

imho the durability and reliability is more important than brute force:D

IT CAN.... It can just cant handle hard launhes like allmost any AWD car..Nissan Lowered the Launch Control RPM for the 2010 model which reduced the risk of Drivetrain Failure

LOL... needed some filler in there... we just didn't have much footage with the weather being so poor. The point was to show that the car is perfectly mild mannered when not being throttled even at its current power level. You are absolutely right... the video doesn't convey at all how fast the car feels when you are in it. The intention of this clip (shot in poor weather) was to show the progress of the project and to give an idea of how well the tuning is going given the car's extensive modifications at this point.

Can't tell much by this clip, actually it looks really slow. Maybe if the conditions are better you can do a side by side comparison with a stock gtr, that will give us a better idea.
