  • Sorry, very brave and honourable of all these people but, it aint a solution for pollution >>>our big time waste problem<<<

In an ideal situation there won't be any waste at all.

Ban the wrapping industry and everybody has a job.

This is my contribution to a resolution

  • @MoStip You are right! Thats why we started a World Cleanup 2012 movement and our aim is to empower communities worldwide to move towards circular economy, into the world without waste. Cleanup is the first step towards that. Our mission is to jointy cleanse the countrysides, oceans and cities, but most importantly - to clean up waste from our heads. Seems you share the same ide, hop on. See World Cleanup 2012 homepage.

  • thax for this!!!

  • So why don't we clean the world?

  • @sevensevenification We are actually.

World Cleanup 2012 | Let's do it! World

  • @TheMeelispeenis what do you mean, is the garbage still on the airfield? isn't it cleaned?

  • I love Estonia for this! I hope this also happens in Croatia one day! Ma armastan Eestit.

  • @TheMeelispeenis Better in one place than in all over the country.

  • @TheMeelispeenis then get people together and clean it up.

  • great!

  • there was actually much more people participating on this event, lot of people did not bother to register, like me.

  • you can recycle all the tires and get money for it.

  • wait, didn't they also find like 7 dead bodies? :D

  • respect... this is how we should act like

  • I'm so proud of Estonia - my home!! I actually took part in that action and it was WONDERFUL! And so much fun! It's a good memory :) The only sad thing is that we haven't done it again... but why? :(

  • respect.

  • Man, I'd give this video a thousand likes!

  • small country called estonia lol

  • @TheVlajko no, Great Kingdom from Mars to Jupiter called Eastonia.

    get real.

  • small countey called estonia lol

  • @horror42

Do u have to go to school during the weekends? :D

  • This should be normal in any country of the world

  • thank you Estonia for giving this to us!

    from Romania

  • Yes this is totally true. The trick is to convert this or any youtube video to an mp3 at mp3tuber..net

  • it was very hard i have to say!!!

  • Wow, i just watched the interview on futura's chanel (a brazilian chanel). I must to confess, it was amazing. We r needing to do the same in here.

  • RESPECT Estonia

    from Romania

  • on 29 sept. its Romania's turn!

but..i think we need 100.000 plus volunteers to clean up this messy country..

We should make a political clean up to!! ...

  • @alexstavi it is happening on 25 sept. :))

  • This is so inspiring and can be applied in so many other areas of life! Thank you very much and well done!

  • This is the true spirit of the multitude social movement. A great example of how coordinated individuals can do more that governments !

Keep up the multitude spirit. Joint the Multitude Project !

  • @mikemihh why am I feeling that you're russian?

  • @mikemihh correction - local councils / towns are responsible for organising the waste management . Goverment does not play a roll in that. BTW - if you would have fotographed the truck dumping the waste, so there is a proof thats it was some company's truck ,there would have been major problem for that company. At the moment i dont believe that some truckdrivers would take such risks. Losing theirs job + fine are things they prefer to avoid. The other things is, if it was some garage's waste

  • Wow.

  • I mean be Clare4300

  • Watch Clean Up by TheJohnJohn0

  • fantastic, i love you people! the world can learn from this :*:*:*:*!! MUCH LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEE from HOLLAND!!!

  • I made a mistake and used the old data from the afternoon - THERE WAS 250.000 or one quarter of million of people participating in the action.

250.000 of 2MIO, do the math!

    I AM AMAZED AND HAPPY!

  • @thorrrrr123

sure , this is a great result. and Happy to see that Slovenian people are aware of the problem now aswell

  • 200.000 VOLUNTEERS IN SLOVENIA TODAY! Thats 10 % of the whole population! HISTORIC DAY - 17.04.2010! HUGE SUCCESS! Thank you Estonia for this great idea!

ECOLOGY CONSCIOUSNESS IS INTEGRAL PART OF HUMANISM and OF CIVILIZATION of 21. century!

  • Tommorrow is THE day for Slovenia :)

  • great!!!

  • This was done today on Portugal.

+13.000 spots mapped and +100.000 people had volunteer ;)

  • @ZoopRusty That's unfair >.< you have more people in your country...

Lol just kidding :D GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!

  • (Firstbuddy7) that was the clever question ever hahahahahaah so funny and unfortunately so true... where did they put it hhaahhahaha

  • Good job!!

  • Way to go Estonia!

This can 9and should) be done europe wide. WORLD wide! Let's go to UN and EU Council and launch an initiative to decalre one day - Garbage day - in all countries. A day when all ppl should be allowed to use the resources they have at work 9and at home if they want) to give something back. Could be embeded in all companies CSR programs.

  • Da!

  • what did they do with all the garbage?

  • @bbbleaver We recycled the most part of it.

  • Foarte multi oameni care vad un loc in care sunt gunoaie considera ca un in plus sau in minus nu mai conteaza, insa ei nu se gandesc ca daca toti merg pe principiul acesta, gunoaiele in acel loc se vor dubla, tripla s.a.m.d

  • minunat! Da, sa o facem si noi!

  • Subscriu si eu

  • Extraordinary! Let's do it, Romania! :)

  • absolut senzational

  • it would be nice if it would happen in Romania as well, I'd join

  • They will do the same in Romania ...very soon :D

  • Romania has the same garbage, but no one will clean it .

  • will you come??

  • As veni .

  • When?Where?Who?I'm the first one who's coming!

  • That's the way to do it !!

All due RESPECT for the initiative and volunteers !!!

  • Yuhuuu! Way to go!!!! Keep it UP! You just setted up a trend and a model.

  • wow respect to Esthonia.

  • no.. now I want to know where you put all that garbage? Can I be sure that it is not going to magically appear somewhere near the coast of some poor 3rd world country? - to make this story end with a true good feeling, I would like to know what you did with that amount of trash.

  • All this trash was sorted by different types of garbagge- dangarous garbbage, glass, car wheels etc, and according to that it went to reproduction or burning or smaller amount to garbagge hills. We tried as much as possible to send to reproduction.

  • trash belongs in the dumpster not the forest, that is the main thing this guys are working on, it is obvious they are relocating it to a trash management facility

  • @insatiablehee burned for electricity =)

  • respect.

  • @shebokee talk America

  • This is far most beautiful thing I have ever seen on youtube! I am a spatial planning student so environmental issues are close to me and I am blown away with the fact that it is even possible to achieve something like this, let alone how easygoing it seems to have been done! Congratulations to the entire team and all of the volunteers that made this happen! I am blown away!

    Greetings from Stanislav, Belgrade Serbia!

  • @Angelam0 Couple of us started organizing LDI Serbia half a year ago. At the same time, totally independently from us, government driven action was put into motion and there was a big cleanup on June 5th. LDI Serbia is working on 2011. action.

  • why its unreal? Its 20 times 10 kg per person, easy!

  • you know that you could carry 200 kilos in 2 or 3 tries depending on what it is and how your carrying it easily

  • LOL..never vist a gym then. You might kill yourself..hahaha

Estonians are used to hard labour...And that's not really hard is it..

  • ok

now go and clean atomic garbage in Serbia,Afganistan Irak....and all countries where-E.U.AND N.A.T.O. -THROWING BOMBS

  • 1. That is not our fault

    2. No atomic nor nuclear bombs have been detonated in those areas

    You LIE.

  • This is just GREAT!

    congratulations!!!

  • simply wow......great job and its inspiring

  • wow

  • Team work will do anything...

  • Wonderful! The power of being one. each of us when together, nothing impossible.

  • congratulations! this is great inspiration as the Power of Action!

  • Awesome work! Congratulations, this is truly inspiring! Thank you! :)

  • That was I talking about

  • For Romania there would be needed 3 Chinas+2 Indias.

  • Agree with you! The people is the problem really.. who will come? Very few sadly :(

  • Well ,if this project will be even tried in Romania ,i'll be first one to join.

  • sadly , i think we need more than that

  • indeed :))

  • i wonder if this could be done world wide

  • no need to be made in all the world is good as a country at a time ... or city ...

  • niiice! i wished that there were more governments to try to pull off sth like this in their countries... but the big problem is that most people really dont care about what happens to their environment...

  • niiice! i hope other governments will try to make this happen in their countries... the big porblem is that most of the people really dont care about what happens to their environment...

  • marvelous!

  • unbelievable.

  • Absolutely stunning! Wish we had the guts and perseverence to pull off such a miracle in our country.

  • This is just amazing. We all know how much we can do if we all pull together, it`s all about unity and common goal. Makes me think, what can I do in my country...

I`ll watch Zeitgeist addendum one more time, something will come up for sure...

  • very cool.

  • I'm proud that I was a part of it, atleast i've done something good in my life :D

  • 4:24 see the power of individual effort over government actions! Fewer taxes! Fewer government! More action of our own!

  • Awesome. Inspirational. Clear directions. Just do it. The time is now. The leaders are here. Let's do it! Kin Domains are the answer for a better future. Clean up the world now--start in your backyard and work outward.

  • What a fantastic initiative! I would love to see this replicated everywhere!

  • wonderful!!!

  • Let's all do it!!!

  • I got tears in my eyes watching this. I mean people always think everything is so big and out of their hands and somehow these people just said hey, we can fix this and just did. It was inspirational and very revealing of the power we have when we work together. We can fix this world together. The power of 50,000 people is BEYOND PRICELESS.

  • So, where'd they PUT IT ALL?

    Beam it up?

    : )

  • Imagine if we all did this for certain other forms of trash which currently pollute the world. You know, like corrupt politicians, certain bankers, certain industrialists, certain groups such as lobbyist, private campaign finance, etc. You get the picture. The people who rape the public and the planet every day. Imagine getting rid of this trash, all in one day? You might add the Catholic Church, since they sit on the world's largest pile of stolen loot and hidden knowledge.

  • Cheers from Lithuania brothers, keep it up :).

  • thanks guys in lithuania and latvia, you did absolutetly great in your countries this year. truly: super!!!! and respect!!! :) all for a better and cleaner world :) hopefully india will pick up too ;)

  • Wonderful! An example to every country!

  • An ounce of prevention saves a pound of cure...

Nice work and it proves that the people can do a better job than the government. :)

  • If the rest of planet doesn't pick up on this we won't have a planet to come to soon enough...this planet will become a toxic waste land that won't sustain life if we continue our pollution ways...

How is it that we have managed to destroy this planet in less than a century..after thousands of years we did it..how shameful and discusting...our chemical/oil companies are they worst..time to rise and tell them NO MORE will we live in their toxic mess.

  • amazing!

  • Very admirable. If this went global, my idea (although I'm sure someone else has thought of it outside of 'Superman IV') is to put all the trash and toxic waste in a space shuttle, or several, and launch it at the sun, which for this purpose would basically be a natural, mega-incinerator. The Earth, solar system, and universe are clean, and then the "green" people like Bill Maher who whine about the space program being a waste of money can shut the hell up.

  • Let's the sun into a toxic dump. ok. that's a lotta of space shuttles heading to the sun. i can see it now: Load after load of toxic waste on convoys of space shuttles with the trash guys hanging on the back as it heads for the sun. hell yeah.

  • Great video! (The Black Bear is from North America though).

  • where did they take all that trash?

  • To a different countries forest duh

  • Maybe they dumped it off the coast of Somali - like they did (Europeans) with nuclear waste.

  • no. to estonia. it will be recycled. it's in 4 big hills. in the size of a supermarket.

  • oops!I support this sorry..I goofed :)

  • to Poland where it belongs

  • we gathered it together to 4 big hills and this all will be recycled. sorting it is gonna take alltogether 3 years. 1 has passed :)

    cheers, Kadri, from the team

  • Thanks for letting us know Kadri - for me it was a real wondering. I could not imagine! best to you and the team!

  • how cool!!!! * * * * *

Abundant joy, love and light to everyone.

Massive congratulations ;) and respect to you all :D peace

  • How beautiful is this? How powerful are the people?I wish more people would drop the shiny thing for things like this.If every country did some thing like this twice a year?

  • it's all up to you :)

  • Great vid of people coming together to do something...btw... I'm raising public awareness about the Chinese Communist Party persecution of 70 million Falun Gong spiritual practitioners for the last 10 years in China. They are put in slave-labor camps and forced to make stuff sold here. A 2009 UN report said vital organs are taken from them to be sold on the black market. This is a country where all the jobs are going, remember? The media doesn't cover it. It must stop. Thanks.

  • @darinmaclachlan where can i find this report?

  • Yeah...let's do the whole planet!

Or how about setting up a bunch of those plasma incinerators(that can burn up all things except nuclear radiation)that makes its own usuble resulting material and gas to fuel its own operation; how about putting them on barges and send them out to the middle of the pacific and scoop up that mess where all the garbage is collecting

  • Not for nothing. But where did the trash go?

  • Very nice..and well done...It does bring a smile to see that there are actually people willing to take action..

A very impressive showing by Estonia to the rest of the world. We all could learn from this one.

    Five and fav!

  • This is fantastic! I think we need to do the same thing right here in the US! We can start in Washington D.C. at the capitol building! Once we get rid of all THAT trash it should be easy from there on out!

  • It's all Up2us. We have the power to fix many problems if we stick together.

  • If this was done in America is would go as follows: special tax to fund the initiative, years of arguing, and finally a targeted goal to reduce trash by 15% by 2016.

  • this is so inspiring. Once again, proof that when people are free to do good without Gov't chains holding them back...nothing is impossible. Free people are good at heart.

  • That's phenominal. Well done Estonia that was awesome :-)

  • One small group of people CAN make a difference

  • this is a sign of real leadership

    example

    bless you all

  • All things are possible!

Love from your friend in the US,

    Eleanor LeCain

  • This grassroots initiative is amazing and inspirational but I wonder where all of the trash ended up?

  • Great job Estonia. If only the USA could do it! We are the biggest polluters, I have heard.

  • This is amazing. Hooray for technology and cooperation!

  • This shows that much can be done for the planet, if only we want it. Wonderful action. With respect, G, from Holland

  • Greetings from Greece with deepest RESPECT for what you managed! And Congratulations! You're an inspiration to us all, though I doubt that Greece could follow this example :(

  • we should start in our Own first!

  • Very inspiring! An amazing idea!

  • Amazing job :)

    greetings from Lithuania!
