  • Wow, how cool is this...

  • this is sooooo odd

we were celebrating at our school today and those were the same people who played at our school.

they are awesome, from the police department in dubai if anyone wants know who they are.

  • wow, cool!!! :D

  • excellent!

  • This band is from dubai police from UAE

  • I AM FROM PUERTO RICO THIS HAS GOT TO BE THE MOST WONDERFULL BAG PIPE BAND I HAVE SEEN FROM THE THE ARAB WORLD,MAY ALAH BLESS AND KEEP YOUR BUETIFULL MUSIC. IN THE HEARTS OF MAN

  • What you people need to understand is that Scotland isn't the only nation with bagpipes as a traditional instrument. The Arabs do have their own line of bagpipes called habban.

As for the bagpipes we see here, these are simply remnants of British colonization.

  • Bagpipes playing in the North eastern coasts of Turkiye. very nice instrument..selam min TurK (*

  • Bagpipes have been around in the Arab world much time before Arabs knew there was a place called Scotland.

  • @Kra7as Oh Yeah! Fella with the baton acts very much like a Scotch pipe major to me. Pipes were probably brought there by Scottish regiments in the British Army.

  • @Kra7as true as that is, this is clearly a great highland bagpipe style pipeband, plus some local percussion

  • @Kra7as This is true, but the Scots did for the bagpipe what the slicer did for bread.

  • @Kra7as Aye indeed......I think actually Scotland is one the last places in the Bagpipish evolutionary journey.... :-)

  • @Kra7as

But is'nt this scottish style bag pipes?

  • Every country in the Middle East which was a British colony or under British mandate plays the bagpipes :-)

  • I apologize, but those aren't kilts... They are Arabian robes. The twirling, I agree, is a bit scary. And finally, I apologize, but i didn't hear any Scotland The Brave parts anywhere in there. Search Scotland The Brave on Youtube and click the Scottish flag. That's Scotland The Brave. This is just simply playing the bagpipes. They're not even Scottish bagpipes because they are green. Scottish bagpipes are black, red, DARK green, or plad. Maybe even different combinations of colors.

  • The green part you see is not the bag, but the bag cover. It's a bit of cloth we put over the bag so you don't have to see a hideous leather bag. The color of that bag cover has nothing to do with the instrument's background. I saw a piper with a yellow bag cover. Those are in fact, Great Highland Bagpipes, and they are playing them pretty well, and it looks like they've tuned them pretty well.

  • Yes, I know... Those bag covers cover the leather bag, but when I say the colour of the bagpipes, I mean the bag cover. The leather bag, of course, all have one colour. That's why I refer to the bag cover for the colour of the bagpipes. Those other things I said was a true. Green just isn't their everyday piping green. They have DARK green rather than the original green.

  • lol@canqpipert.

Very nice piping, and sweet drums.

the twirling is a bit scary though.

  • kilts are a little too long

  • Excuse me Mr Bongo man, you are on FIRE!

  • Really cool!

  • Quality!
