There's a Worldwide Texas Tour Souvenir book?!? I was wondering where the cool pics were coming from, I've been looking up pictures of a young Billy but can't seem to find much out there......but this......this is good stuff...I want a W.T.T souvenir book now :(
@MobiusRoom Thanks, yeah I agree, Clapton and Gibbons are two completely different players. I often describe ZZ Top's live performances as Cream on bar-b-que'd steroids.
@joetamm i havent heard a live recording this early up till now.....they wernt lying in the blurb on the back of zztops first album were they?....listening to this i finally have a comparison....so awesome to hear this....one of the finest blues rock moments in history!!!Thanks for posting it.
@ZX10thorgir Clapton is an absolute joke next to Gibbons, period. He is a damn Limey trying to play the blues. Billy Gibbons and Johnny Winter are simple untouchable forever
cool pictures

God ? God is God. But this clip shows that Billy is The Master that all other guitar players must pay homage to. Clapton who ?

@zzrich Billy is the best blues rock player from Texas. He's got a unique style.
I'm waiting for the next album very.

@racer500gp I don't have problem with Clapton, but Billy is my big influlence, especially his early period with ZZ Top. True power trio.

@ZX10thorgir Clapton is a hell of a guy..and a hellof a guitar player...in 1968.

Billy Gibbons was on fire back in the early 70`s, just like Eric Clapton was with Cream.

@BOGATA9 I agree with you, he was on the TOP!

@BOGATA9 Indeed! I've always felt they were America's southern answer to Cream.
