Could someone in the Sunderland area tell me what it is that I've just seen. About 45 minutes ago, 01:30 am (when it's dark), I was stood at outside the house having a cig in Craghead. I saw five huge, and I mean HUGE flashes in the sky. The only thing I can compare it to is an explosion.

your both stupid. its a large airliner on the airway that crosses Newcastle. NCL is a waypoint for aircraft passing into or out of europe. this looks like a 767 or 777

Ive watched the footage and im still not sure if its a ufo or something else---all i know is that there have been plenty of strange sightings of ufos over sunderland-- I live at the coast of sunderland Ive seen strange lights in the sky-- and even the local fisher men have said to me that they have observed strange things in the night sky????

I've seen a close up sighting real UFO's doing amazing supposably impossible manouvers over Tunstall Hill and what i thought was an Helicopter at night disappear into nothingness just 300ft above the Raich Carter center hendon! They are very real indeed!

So your trying to suggest you can see them at night? if you look at the flight path its everything to indicate a sattelite because its orbiting and its outside of the atmopsphere - before you dismiss the idea thinking its a ruddy alien spacecraft think logically. why do you think you can see the moon in daylight sometimes dumb arse ??
