Actually I loved this film. Yes, Clooney wasn't great but it's Clooney. Chris O'Donnell was great. Alicia Silverstone was cute and hot as hell. It was great to see how she kicks Uma Thurman's ass. Arnold Schwarzenegger as Mr. Freeze wasn't that bad.

i just watched your review on batman and robin and i have to say it was really well done indepth review, bottom line for batman and robin it was the studio's fault for making it light, and when that happened shumaker didnt have any creative freedom over the plot thus making it kid friendly and gay. cause didnt shumaker wanted to do a prequel on the series before they made batman forever. here's the formula for a great batman movie dark + a logical plot + interesting characters= awsome.

Yeah he wanted to do an origin story, based on Batman Year One. But you know, let's look on the bright side. Without this being so over the top and campy there would have been no desire to go "darker" again for Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. After Burton's Batman Returns the studio wanted lighter - they had to learn the hard way this wasn't the right way to go. So credit this film for creating Nolan's films I say.

Well think about it for a sec. Its a movie based off a serious character, Batman, Batman returns proved it to be serious, while Batman forever was bad (in my opinion) It didn't degrade itself to this. I think though instead of change of pace, it was taking an entire different step of not caring what the script was like.

What do you think of the day the earth stood still? I think it's going to be nothing like the 1950's classic, but it actually does have some ideal casting, like Keanu Reeves, as the completely emotionless robot. Fits him like a glove.

I played the commentary, great job. U have great analyzing skills! It was so true about the logo of the film studio, the 90's were so tacky like that. But hey, as u said it was the style of the time. & the moive wanted 2 just b care free. Like the atmosphere of the time. They did not want 2 concern themselves with how Robin saves Alicia in the Motorcycle scene, or with any drama that might upset the viewer. It was just a fun ride, only showing the action, pretty set design, & costumes. :) :) :)

the cinematography and general visuals are amazing in this film. Very atmospheric. It's just everything else that sucks. I do like how Schumacher makes the film his own by going all out with the punk-erotica theme. It at least expands the Batman onscreen-mythos. Sure to a place it shouldn't be but still, variety is good

Also, you might want to experiment a bit with YouTube's new wide format. 16:9 is perfect for movie clips. (Personally, I use 853x480 with a 2 Mb bitrate.)

it wasn't until I became a teen that I noticed the darker tone of the 90s cartoons and got to see the first two movies. So I can't see this as crap but I'll enjoy the commentary none the less.
