i am so glad i had the chance to see this and to hear it!!! it reminds of 1979/1980 when Kraftwerk toured England and i had the chance to see them at The Apollo In Manchester (England) Great Stuff from the grandfathers of electro/tecno pop.

I studied electronics in school and I find it fascinating that they built their own drum machines, etc. with a good old fashioned soldering iron and old school electronic components. Do you understand what the hell I'm talking 'bout Willis?

It's strange how much american pop music actually got (stole) from Kraftwerk. Kraftwerk was big even back in the 70s, their greatest hits like Robots and Autobahn are the early stuff. A lot of the early 80s pop rock sound was simply copying off what Kraftwerk was doing. Some did well, like Madness, others sold well, but sounded like half-baked copies, like Devo.
This doesn't sound like a gameboy. A gameboy sounds like this. Most modern pop, Hip Hop/Rap Techno etc owes much to Kraftwerk. Whoever is your favorite music, if indeed you like music, e-mail them with a copy of your silly remarks, Neigborhoodtroll. I have no doubt they'll school you. You're "that guy" who thinks music pops out of nowhere instead of evolves. Hop back in the musical oven and get a clue you're not done yet. Like it or not it's important and influential to what you listen to now.

In LA early 80ies there was a legendary hotel where ALL music-stars hang out. A heavy metall freak said "We all had crazy parties, but I never understood why those four businessmen in suits from germany lived there" :) :)
I had a roommate at Boston U. in 1981 that was from Germany, who said you have got to check out Kraftwerk. So I visited him in Dusseldorf that summer and saw them live. Absolutely intoxicating! We even talked to them at a local "disco" - very nice guys. I've been a fan ever since!

There are many of them--Bruce Haack, Jean-Michel Jarre and the British band White Noise are just a few off the top of my head, all with very different styles. @TheEmceehero there is no one like kraftwerk anymore,they were truly original,but there are still talented pioneers out there check out my favorites to see a few :)

@TheEmceehero Ishkur's Guide's got a good selection. There are many of them--Bruce Haack, Jean-Michel Jarre and the British band White Noise are just a few off the top of my head, all with very different styles. If you're interested, much material of theirs is uploaded here to YouTube. I have uploaded an entire Bruce Haack album on my channel if you're interested. I'm not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for, so forgive me if it's not.

I´ve seen them LIVE ´81 in the "Satory Saal" in Cologne and ´91 in the Philipshalle Düsseldorf. Thanx for the posting ;o)
