This game isn't even that hard. I can beat the game with only dying once. In my opinion, the first game on the NES is MUCH harder. This is a toned down version of the NES classic.

This game was a huge disappointment.

Why?

Because the first few levels are just *so* good and then the difficulty level cranks up into impossible-overdrive with absolutely no warning.

I've finished this game, not for entertainment, but because I absolutely NEEDED to. I couldn't let it beat me.

Anyway, the levels after the hoverbike stage are even harder and , I have to say, not as fun as the first 2 levels and the bonus stage.

So sad, this could have been a legendary game.

I beat the entire game when i was like 6 years old. i have no idea how i beat the bike level though when i was that age i am almost 17 and it looks so ridiculous. Amazing soundtrack also, you wont beat it in any other games. amazing keyboardist/midi engineer, just amazing the other levels are way better too.

The music for this level in the game ranks among my all-time favorites when it comes to video game music.

Battletoads was one of those game series from my childhood that I just couldn't conquer, mainly because I could NEVER get past the Hoverbike stage, no matter what the installment - but then again, I don't think many people who played any of the games in the series ever could.

The music is so much fun to listen to for me. The soundtrack is actually pretty good! And I remember that damn hoverbike stage. It was as hard as the NES version and that one was damn hard!

Hi ShiryuGL! Once again, the very same question: how big, megabitwise, this game is? I'd guess either 12 or 16Mbit. Or maybe even 8Mbit but I doupt it, even with Rare's experienced programmers. Then again, Super Turrican was only 4Mbit but I read a scan of German games magazine, and if understood right the graphics were compressed in Super Turrican.

Come to think of it, the only thing I really liked about this game were the first two levels. It would has been a better game if they had more levels where you auctually fight. I didn't even want to play beyond the hoverbike stage.
