whether one is heterosexual, homosexual or asexual is entirely moot; what is essential is that one daily consciously seek God's counsel and use discernment. The Bible is a tool for discernment. only belief in Christ leads to salvation and this, in turn, leads to a transformation. i think perhaps homosexuality is counter to God's plans, but i think it counterproductive to focus on one sin. each of us faces our own struggles and only with the Holy Spirit can we discern God's will.

i think it beside the point to argue whether or not homosexual activity denies salvation; salvation is achieved through belief in Christ and belief is made evident through "fruits of the spirit"; that is, one is enabled to overcome anything counter to God's will and one is transformed. salvation happens in a moment and leads to a process of transformation. ie transformation does not happen in a moment. salvation is not guaranteed simply by confessing belief, but by living it

the commandment of jesus is actually two fold and i believe he misses the first and foundational commandment; you shall love the lord your god with all yoour heart and soul and mind and the second (commandment) is like it; you shall love your neighbour as yourself. loving god is evident in living according to his commands; the ten commandments are not voided by the commandments of christ;; he weakens his argument by leaving this off

Since you are a preacher I have a question. Does God command that gays refrain from sex until one is married as it is with the straights? If not where exactly in the bible can a gay have sex outside of marriage?

@thestandardoftruth according to the bible all gay sex, inside or outside, marriage is a sin. 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

1:23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

see the word VILE and against Nature. in other words UNNATURAL

vs 27 Leaving the NATURAL use of the woman and also men with men working that which is unseemly.

@thestandardoftruth the word reprobate means a person without moral scruples marked by immorality; deviating from what is considered right or proper or good. last of all the bible says to do those things which are not convenient You have to go out of the norm. God loves the homosexual but calls the life style sin and abomination. to stink, to be loathsome Leviticus 18: 17-27. Homosexuality is also included in the list, "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind; it is abomination"

Yet being gay a person still will lust after another.Gay people because they are under the influence of an unclean spirit(this is the source of homosexuality) This demonic spirit will undoubtably temp tier victim with unrightious thinking...possible far more than a normal person does that is not under this influence.

Being gay is not a sin. no place in the any biblical writing reads that if you are gay you are committing a sinful act. Having gay sex may be justified as sin but your writing could also be justified as sin.

God's view on homosexuality is clearly seen BEFORE the law and thus continue in the law and continues in the age of grace. I dare you to prove in a thesis on where God ordains sex outside of marriage. You can't and thus you are living in sin. No where in the bible did God ordain Same Sex Marriage. Not one example oof it or when it originated. That is where you are wrong.

i am sorry that you were tought hait, tought to judge people and there life and i hope one day you can live by the commandment that Jesus gave. First of all, there is a law that supercedes the Old Testament law and that is the two commandements of Jesus. They are in Matthew 22, Love God and Love others.

Jesus says that on these two commandments hang all of the laws of all the prophets. When you live your life based on love, you ask in any situation if what you are doing is loving. For instant, if you love God with all of your heart, mind, soul...
