I've come to learn that nowadays "burlesque" means "ameturish," or perhaps "women that made some costumes and wander around while music is playing." Not surprising, they can't really sing. I guess that's part of the "joke." How droll!
Mate you would change your mind if you were to see them live & in their full show....They are such great great fun, they're like jacks of all trades, they may not do everything brilliantly but are so loveable and endearing you just can't help but to get hooked and go on a bizarre little journey with them. I could have gone time & time again to see them in whilst in Edinburgh.
I don't get you at all. They play music while doing acrobatics, hold handstands, make original material, and are damn funny, and though I agree that this isn't their best material, it's still a damn sight better than 'amateurish'. Live they are freaking amazing. Get the stick out of your arse.
