Well I got into casinos and eventually into marketing there, were I did motion graphics for their digital signage (I have a separate reel showcasing that work here). But they seemed to want SQL skills out of me more, so I learned those too. The graphics are way more fun though! ;)
Wow I love your reel too! Im 21 and I am about 1 month from graduating and starting my career. Does my stuff look professional? Could you please be so kind to give me tips on how to get work doing this?
Well friend I'm looking for the gainful teat right now myself. In the past, I have gotten aboard a company doing just about anything, and then made the right person there aware of what I can do. Having a "I can do it" attitude about other work helps assuade the fear many managers have about arists being Primadonnas. Working as a production assistant, or just about anything, at the right place is better than a design job at the wrong place.
You've done some very nice work! Are you still working in motion graphics?
