@mercerbrad2010 Diverter valve does the same thing a BOV does just in a slightly different way, when you let go of gas or when shifting in a manual car, there are access boost in the turbo, if not directed out of the turbo piping, it could cause turbo lag, or damage the turbo. Diverter Valve take the access boost and redirects it back into the intake, whiles the BOV just releases it into the atmosphere. =)

Im thinking about getting one of these for my mk6 but im worried that the "pfft" sound will occur even when I shift at low RPM (2000-2500)
