Sorry I can't help you with the fear question. That is something I haven't had to deal with in years. It would take too long to explain. Maybe I'll send you a Youtube email. Ryan
Ryan, Please make that video. It would help so many people. As soon as I finish this note, I am subscribing to your videos in anticipation of you making your video on overcoming fear. Thank you in advance, Ryan.
Fear is a hard one. I really think that as you continue on your journey, you will notice now that you are more aware of the direction of your thoughts, you will try harder to reign them in and fearful thoughts go along with this. As time passes and you change and grow, they lessen. At least that is what I have found for myself. What you focus on expands. If you think fearful thoughts, you will become more fearful.
Thanks Lisa. I think I need to find a way of turning off the fear thoughts in those situations when I don't need fear. It will take some distraction! I'll practice.
Ok - This will sounds silly, but this is how I did it. My therapist told me this trick YEARS ago and it works. When you notice your mind wandering in a trend of thinking that you don't want yell "STOP" really loud inside your head, (not outloud..lol) It really derails the train of thought and stops it. Then eventually you just change your habit of thinking that way.
Your mum is lovely! Regarding the fear thing, I just made a video regarding my fear of "being too big." I will be interested in the responses to your question. Later this month I am attending a weekend seminar entitled, "Break Free, Releasing the Blocks That Get in the Way of Your Success." I will be sure to share the highlights.
I am eager to hear that. I was considering ordering The Key by Joe Vitale. As he puts it ...The Key shows how a person must first rid themselves of unconscious self-limiting beliefs if they want to reach their full potential. Ryan
I haven't read the book you mention. I love learning this stuff. About seven years ago Jacob Neilsen (do you know his books?) came to our offices (before I worked for myself) to talk to us about web usability and it was inspiring! Then I went to San Fransisco for a seminar on User Interface Engineering and it totally changed my understanding of web design! I wanted to redesign everything!
Yep, I remember reading Jakob Nielsen stuff back when they were just text files posted to his web site. Why I'm so old I remember communicating on the internet back when we just had green bar printers (no crt).
BTW, that's cool that you've been to San Fran. I have a friend that lives there. That's a long way from London. Ryan
Chris' quick tips: if you have an online domain to load and test web pages you can then submit them to webxact dot watchfire dot com to test for accessability. Very handy. Oh you know all this don't you? :) I love the 'celebrity' intros to your vids...
Thanks for the top tip Chris. I didn't know about that site, it's excellent and it will be very useful for me. Thanks so much. More guest star intros to come!!
I have that book too. Love all about web accessibility. Godd for you! Greetingss from Argentina

Your Mum is adorable. What does she think of The Secret?
BTW, have you ever read Dont Make Me Think by Steve Krug?

Hi Ryan. She hasn't seen it. To be honest it's a long way off the kind of films or ideas she would typicially watch.
