  • @vagourian

as i know, oud had came from middle asia like china, ancient turks etc...

  • @vagourian it's imperial istanbul. not just turk, armenian, roum... it's all of them. imperial culture and imperial music. armenian's lastnames are still turkish. they went from turkey before republic and lastname law. they get their last names from the governments where they've gone. why they choose turkish words and names? do not be racist. it's imperial culture. ottoman empire and culture are also armenian's.

  • helal olsun...

  • @uluocakmetehan What do you mean?

  • @vagourian Demek istiyorum ki, çok güzel çalmışsınız. tebrik ediyorum, very good..

Çok güzel, very good..

  • @vagourian çok başarılı, hakkını vermişsiniz diyorum. Great, very good...

  • @vagourian İt is creator was Santuri Ethem Efendi in 1855.

  • Is oud common in Greece or just you're interested in Turkish music ?

    Good job by the way.

  • @PunisherLord

Oud is not Greek or Turk. Its creator was Manolis Venios ( Manol ) in Instabul who was Greek. Search him in Google

  • Just a correction sir, Manol only designed and crafted 'Manol Oud' with his craftsman(regardless of their nation) in his small shop in Galata district in Constantinople in1870, the original oud is way back to arabs of course. It's even considered to be the origin of the spanish guitar. Please correct me if i'm wrong.

    Thanks

  • @vagourian its actually Ancient Iraqi

  • CONGRATULATIONS... Perfect ...

    Tebrikler... harika olmus

  • Ahhh I love this Oud guitar !! Great job Guys :)

  • greeks play this too ? i thought only turks played oud. cool instrument

  • great and liberating! I am surprised to find that my favorite music "Freedom" by the Chinese 12Girls band originates from this remote source. No matter, nothing truly great is entirely done by one single individual/group. Newton says he can see farther as he stands on the shoulders of giants. 12Girls stand on shoulders of Turkish giants and demonstrate again that music can be universal - it transcends racial, linguistic and geographic boundaries.

  • Helal olsun kültürdaslarim benim! Hi 5 my same-cultures!

  • güzel çalıyorsun ama o elindeki aletin ismi oud değil ud adını bilmiyorsan çalma

  • What does that mean?

  • @vagourian He says you play well but what you are playing is not an "oud" but an "ud" if you dont' know what its called don't play it. By the way i think you play awasome and Sehnaz Longa is one of my favorites.. By the Way OUD is the proper english spelling so keep on playing

  • @vagourian it was kind of an insult but screw him

@sinmus2323 moruk ingilizcede oud ud turkcesi bilmeden konusmayalim

    @vagourian im back to you

so he said "you play pretty well but the instrument you're holding is called "ud" not "oud" "

and i answered "it's ud in turkish, but called oud in english"

  • @vagourian it means that you dont know the name of the oud becouse he thinks "oud" is wrong. this asshole think that "ud" is right. he says that you haven´t got to play the oud.

  • ingilzice öyle yazılıyor

adini bilmemekle alakasi yok, senin dunyadan bir haberin yok. udun dunyada turkceden baska deyimi yokmu zannettin.. Turkiye disinda buna oud denilir kardesim...bilmiyorsan ogrende gel

  • @sinmus2323 türkiyede ud diyorlar diye tüm dünyada ud diyecek halleri yok herhalde kardeşim git biraz ingilizce sözlüğü aç derim...

  • Really nice attempt of Santuri Ethem's work. Thank you heaps.

The benchmark performance on uTube is Bayram Coskuner's thumb breaker at youtube "watch?v=ne0UEW_-gIk". The best available iPod version is by Estoudiadina on their Dakri Sto Giali.

  • one of the best versions I've heard, thank you.

  • Santuri Ethem Efendi died in a fire in his house. He composed nearly a hundred compose.

  • Composer is Santuri Ethem Bey. A late Ottoman piece. Nice playing, thanx..

  • this is a great song

  • haha!! tosun pasha is me :) (: you play great duuude...

  • geia sou veggeli alani florios

  • Geia sou florio aytokratora!!!

  • etsi mpravo re aderfe! JUST REPRESENT ORIENT!!!! JUST REPRESENT GREECE!!! ur the perfect example what GREEK culture is! its sound a little bit stupid but when im hearing u guys u make me proud of the orient especially greece!

  • The track is from gypsis tradition and all east mediterranean countries play it. We gave it an aegean color... Thnx

  • Thats not true; its a Turkish track. Sehnaz Longa was composed by Santuri Ethem Efendi, who is a Turkish musician.

As for the Longa style in general; some says its Bulgarian originated, some says its Romanian or some says its Gypsy, after all we all have Gypsies in all east mediterranean countries; just like you said. And I understand the heavy influence would travel fast in the close geography but this specific track, Sehnaz Longa, is Turkish.

Anyway, your performance was GREAT bravo :)

  • We can say this music which was composed by a Turkish musician became a common cultural part of mediterrian countries. Anyway, I like the performance and appreciated. Take a look at this video also. Write Selim Sesler in youtube and listen sehnaz longa.
