have to disagree with mattc941 not every skill guy in the nfl run 4.2s thru 4.4s there are alot of wr's and corners that run 4.6 thru 4.8s peter just couldn't stay healthy and had to play with akaili smith
As a Gator fan I hate to say this but if Peter Warrick was Deion Sanders, Devin Hester fast or even faster than them he probably could have been the baddest football player ever both college and pro, Thank God he wasn't, lol, kidding.
Warrick was drafted in 2000. The bengals were terrible enough THREE YEARS LATER to get the number 1 overall pick and get carson palmer. Hell even during their best years besides the current one, they've been medicore at best.
By the time they drafted Palmer, Warrick had already suffered multiple injuries and suffered under the completely inept cinci coaching staff.
@GalactusPBN I'm a Redskin fan so i know that he could've been a Redskin fan. But they passed up on him because of his slow 40 time, i think he ran a 4.4 or something around that nature so i can see what you're saying but still everybody gets hurt in the NFL you cant blame an injury for a bad career. He was bounced around in the NFL and didnt find a home man.
Retarded?! Ok man whatever you say lol. All im saying is he was undersized and he wasnt as fast as people say he was. He would need every break he could get to be a prominant player in the Nfl.
I use to think he was so fast, but he was really extremely quick. He was so quick that it intimidated other players trying to tackle him, sometimes to a point where most just threw their limp uncoordinated bodies at him like fish flopping. I guess all that they could tell the coach is hey that's Pete Ricky man.
I only played against one person who was ever quick like that, and I missed his ass two and half times on one play until someone accidently fell into him.
Yeah but he did that to every team, he was incredible. Unfortunately it didn't translate into a good pro career. I think he had the ability to cut, which came off as him having great speed, but he was just 'fast' not great speed, where in the NFL every player has speed. Amazing college player though.
@mattc941 Pete came at da wrong time in da NFL. Cincy had a sorry ass QB kitna and Chad came in when Palmer came in. Pete last year was his best and knee was fuked up. Then, to top off that Pete ran a 4.2 in H.S and in college ran a 4.3 but the combine he ran a 4.6. Remember, in h.s and college you race another person to determine your forty time. In the NFL you just run by yourself. Pete must have great speed if he burn da U and Florida and VT secondary lol.
He is playing in the Indoor Football League for the Bloomington Extreme in Illinois..going to meet him today in St. Louis when he plays the River City Rage.
No, he has not shown that he can overcome all the injuries. He is turning 32 in less than a month. He hasn't even been able to make the roster for an Arena team. Hopefully he can stay healthy, get back into shape, and maybe land somewhere and have a couple quality seasons, but I doubt it. The Chiefs need receivers bad, so he should try out with them.
no 1 is going to breaks rice records fsu could have had warrick on 1 side and moss on the other but randy got kicked out for something stupid and he had to go to marshall those 2 would have gave dbs hell
Well that and he didn't have a good work ethic. It's a shame, guys like Javon Walker, Loverneous Coles, Anquan Boldin, even Fred Bilitnekoff, I think Peter Warrick coulda been better than them all if he had a good work ethic

Injuries are a part of football dude. How can you blame injuries to his crappy career. Dude just didnt have a NFL work ethic.

His fucking knees exploded dude.
What the fuck is a guy who depends SOLELY on quickness supposed to do when he's suddenly not quick anymore?

@1kennyunit Gilbert comes back and shows flashes of greatness but he will manage to shoot like 30 something percent from the field.

Wow you people are retarded.
Injuries derail careers all the time.
Sam Bowie, Greg Oden in basketball
too many players to even count in football.
Ken Griffy in baseball was constantly getting nicked up keeping him from being the best ever.
