  • so are you in college rotc? if so where?

  • This would be much better aircraft if it were upgraded with a glass cockpit. Still a beauty, though!

  • @f22acefighter no they really don't. The hornet legacy or rhino are both navy aircraft. Maybe you are thinking the Royal Australian Air Force. Bu not ours.

  • Isnt the T-38 very similar to the F-5? They seem very similar.

  • @bwd81977 same airframe, different engines and the f-5 can pull more g's.

  • how many of the 5th gen rusisan SU planes gone into production???????????????

  • that is exactly what im going to do when i join the USAF but with the F/A-18E Super Hornet

  • @f22acefighter Good luck since the USAF doesn't fly that aircraft.

  • @f22acefighter to bad the air force does not fly the F/A- 18E super hornet ( rhino )

  • @33hockeyboy

    The US NAVY does though.

  • hey to anybody who flew 38's, how hard was it getting into the t-38 track? i'd give anything to fly these things and then get a fighter at drop night.

  • That looks fun im not used to the look of 2 seaters and being in a cockpit without actually flying. cool vid!

  • Don't hit us Soaring pilots on this low altitude ;)

New mexico is a relly amazing flying area in my opinon.

    Are you a Soldier ?

  • Your right about NM being a great place to fly.

Everytime I go up there is something new. Love the gliding on the east side of sandia.

  • What is that "buzzing" sound?

  • Air

  • @macsm The buzzing is what's called "duct howl" from the air conditioning vent.

  • Rode in these several times while stationed at Laughlin AFB, TX back in the 70's. The best ride was a high speed dash UNDER the Pecos River High Bridge which was an expressly forbidden act that was nevertheless frequently done as a right of passage for student pilots. T-38's are fun jets but they've experienced a high accident trend during the last few years including the most recent crash at Edwards AFB, CA on 21 May 2009.

  • Amazing !!

  • cant wait to get a ride in a Beale one,im going in for altitude chamber testing next week xD

  • Is that a 38 A or B?

  • From what I can tell, it's an A.

  • So did he let you drive at all??? LOL. Wow, this is so cool. I work on L-39s for a living and get to ride in one occasionally. But we cruise at maybe 250 kias. You're cruising at 400+ and the thing probably isn't even working hard.

  • Man, look at all those "steam gauges"; now that's 50 year old Avionics technology. By the way, what's the deal with those "thumb screws" on that rail by each window? Wonder what's that all about.

  • That must have been awesome!! How on earth did you manage to score one? I'm so jealous!!

  • You lucky bastard! lol... I got a T-38 incentive flight too at Columbus AFB, but none of the pics came out :( Now that Im out I'd give anything to do it again. Cool video!

  • former are here.....what is an incentive ride? thanks

  • An incentive ride is a promotional low level demo to entice the recruit to sign up. It will be the first and last fun ride

  • 1st and last...WOW...that's cold.....thanks...are you in the air force? former army here, but wished i joined the force

  • They don't give incentive rides to entice people to sign up. Don't be such a downer because you have led a drab life

  • Well you do have 20/20 vision, just get some laysic eye surgery!

  • You dont need 20/20 vision in the turkish airforce !

  • Nor do you need it for the USAF! :D

  • 20/70...they waive up to 20/200

  • What I wouldn't do to get a ride in a fighter. I was dead set to get Airman of the 1/4 when I first got to HAFB.. Boy they broke my spirit real nice... :\ The NCOIC of our shop got an incentive ride. THey broke the sound barrier over Carlsbad.

I wish I could get a ride... Hell.. If I had 20/20 vision I'd go up for a pilot spot.

  • Hmmmm, if I remember correctly, hand-held video in an ejection seat a/c is illegal..... now those are AETC rules....not sure who owns HAFB's T-38's...

  • shut up.

  • Eat me.

  • What's the point of an 'incentive' ride? For the newcomer pilots?

  • Incentive rides are given to enlisted guys, officers who don't fly, cadets, and dependents.

  • lucky pilot he is 2e pilot 1e pilot control the plane lol :D

  • lucky. :D

CHERISH your flight time. for me at least. :(

  • Looks like you were flying into Indian Pueblo country there. Did you do any flybys on some Kon-Keester-Dores?

  • You lucky bastard I was stationed at HAFB and always wanted an incentive ride. 9th fs baby! Looks mad fun. I was there in the 49th LRS for 3 years till may 04'

  • ugh! the camera needs a fixed position
