  • He was too far away; It was predictible from the start. I came right away to my mind when I saw the video and I have zero expertise in this matter.

  • So if the guy is already on the drive way, why is his nose in the street? This pick was simple. But the crane operator started out making mistakes. He could have gained 15 feet just by getting closer to house. I hate to see this sort of stuff, but this was a simple pop and drop, live and learn.

  • Alledged computer problem programmed in by the operator...wrong code bud...or was it the over ride key?maybe it suddenly turned on it's own? Full boom, full capacity, fullcounterweight...LMI code corresponds to FACTORY LOAD CHART!!! Learn how to use it.

Dave The Canadian Capitalist President of a Crane Rental Company in Ontario Canada.

  • Did anyone else expect this other crane to fall or was it just me?

  • @Ghostgirl777 i did :D

  • @Ghostgirl777 Yes. It looked like it would.

  • I swear there was a problem just like this in my engineering dynamics book... Except for the crane wasn't supposed to tip.

  • God decided he didn't want them to have a swimming pool ;)

  • remove the music

  • @JTO500 Agreed, I hate to mute that annoying music.

  • @ulysses1904 Sorry, I *HAD* to mute that annoying music.

  • what does it take to remove a crane from within a house? .............another crane o.O

  • craneception

  • They lift up the crane with another crane? lol

  • has anyone asked why the hell theyre putting a pool in the backyard of a house in MN yet?

  • ale piepszło, piknie

  • so many errors, why no counterweight, why not backed up tight to the garage, why is he using a 3 shive block instead of a single shive or headache ball. I also dont know why he wouldn't have all the boom scoped out, and why he had the base sections scoped out and kept the unused sections at the furthest point instead of near the crane is beyond me. He should know to keep all the unused boom sections at the base were the weight doesnt wreek havoc on your tipping axis.

  • where are the counterweights??

  • The land of Linkara..

  • lol it crashes into the house and they break the fence with the spa thing that was being put in the back yard ALOT of money lol

  • Oh and when your done would you mind installing my hot tube for me with your much bigger crane.

  • He could have gone about 10ft closer 2 the garage... Your better lifting over the back of the crane... The engine is also ballast and that is a good 15ft from the slew ring! He done everything spot on! The alarms did not work on the crane from what I have read about it!

  • Before setting up for the 1st hoist, would he not have been better off parked nose first into the driveway?

  • What if the crane that they used fell down again. That's so much FAIL. :))

  • It would suck if they the crane they were using to remove the old one collapsed fell as well.

  • @xygomorphic44 exactly what i was thinking lol

  • GOD! DAMMMNIT!

  • That's gonna leave a mark. On the house that is.

  • He didn't need a counterweight? I don't know about comp. fail, you still have a chart, a pen and a pencil.

  • I'll put my money on it this crane service was a scab outfit. You get what you pay for. A union operator would say this crane can't do the pick set up like this. Everyone would call him a trouble maker and talk about how much the union costs because they slow things down.

  • looks like he didnt program the computer to his counterweight configuration

  • @MrMesa2011 ;)

  • did the company pay compensation?

  • @CRUISEOBRIEN1 Yes, the house if fully repaired now.

  • lol a crane lifting a crane, amazing!

  • It looks more like he "allegedly" forgot to use counterweights.

  • now what if that bigger crane fell over while trying to pick up the smaller crane? then you'd need an even bigger crane to pick up the big crane to pick up the smaller crane.

  • Nice recovery...shame about the house though.Computer failure my arse!!!

  • CRANECEPTION

  • @jarand4 watch the movie god dam it!

  • @TheWwweee lol whut? u thinking of inception, or just random angry?

  • @jarand4 dude i sent you this message 1 month ago

  • @TheWwweee to soon?

  • hij was aan het uitschuiven en dat kan allen als de computer uitgeschakeld is (overbruggen van de lmb lastmomentbegrenser)

  • Ah, so they got it out with another crane.

    Brilliant.

  • How do you pick up a big ass crane? GET A F*CK'N BIGGER ASS CRANE!

  • worst music ever

  • GOOOOD DAMMIT!

  • Man, that is just a still image!

  • Krupp Kmk 5175 to the rescue....

  • Annoying music

  • Crane crashes into house...

    FIND BIGGER CRANE

  • @CoyoteCalienteTx , should be on tumblr xD

  • I LIVE IN SHOREVIEW! whoa this is crazy. haha.

  • of course. solve the problem with the crane...with a bigger crane rofl

  • MORE CRANES MORE CRANES MOREEEEEEEEEEE

  • Congratulations Truck Crane Company. You're now famous for failing.

  • @nwalke They have done more picks that you can even count!

  • I doubt the computer problem. It seems as though the boom was over-extended for the amount of weight. There were no extra weights on the front of the crane.

  • WHY MORE CRANES??

  • They should've used the big crane in the first place.

  • they get a crane to take out the crane

  • Why didn't the bigger crane fall as well ? :( WHY??

  • what if the bigger crane fell lol now kids were learning the meaning of oxymoron

  • Probably should've used the bigger crane to begin with... Just sayin

  • fall fall fall (fingers crossed)

  • Did you have to put that annoying ass music?!

  • Had a friend who had a smaller crane get bent, and he could not retract it... LOL!

  • no more tubs on their commercial, i guess.

  • Well now you have a hot tub, and a skylight.

    Two birds, one stone. :)

  • Autobots Roll out!

Hey Rodimus a little help here, My aching back.

  • I would've been ok without the soundtrack

  • if u watch this in reverse, they're actually dropping a crane onto the house :o

  • did you guys sue them?

  • @jkexbx Why? ;-)

  • @verakot I would guess because they dropped a crane on his house. probably not, It sounds like it was an accident in which case insurance of one or both parties involved will cover most if not all damage incurred by this.

  • @verakot

    Why Not :p

  • @jkexbx It wasnt them whos house it was, it was a channel called AdvantageElectric1

  • @gallawapa The context it seems to be in makes it seem like only a computer (man-made computer) was the only thing responsible. But, seeing the original, it seems more like a design flaw, since the balancing legs' feet are bent.

  • OH HAI GAIS WERE UHHH GONNA MOVE THIS CRANE WITH SOME MOAR CRANES... OH UHH SHEET YOU GOT 2 MORE CRANES IN YUR HOUSE MY BAD KTHXBAI

  • A computer problem? Are they stupid? A computer would have nothing to do with the crane tipping, apparently there was too much weight and the crane lost balance.

  • @KNGarver A computer (be it a human or electronic device) would have been responsible for calculating the weight at some point. Someone computed wrong :-)

  • @KNGarver there are computers in cranes to tell how much you can move how high, and how far given the boom position and length. Many of the tall tower cranes also calculate wind speed into it as well.

  • Well, i have a crane in front of my garage! yeah!

  • umm...Insurance Company Immediate Answer...''Sorry we dont Cover Falling Hot Tubs & Crane Shafts On The Roof !!.............lol

  • @DJCORNBEEFKING "Or anything else"...

  • It would have been better if you had left the original audio instead of this crappy assed noise.

  • awwwww :( I was hoping this one would fall as well lol

  • Why would some1 use a crane to get another thats just stupid

  • @Madaky123 So what would you use? Let's see, you have something heavy to lift, and you have a crane company. Naw, let's not use those other cranes, lets use some bubble gum? Stupidest. Comment. Ever.

  • If only the 2nd crane fell

  • Spa needs crane. Crane needs truck. Truck needs crane. Crane needs truck.

  • A crane to pick up a crane..oh the irony

  • yeah it usually takes a crane to get them out

  • A crane crashes on a house and is removed by another crane? Ya, THAT'S a good idea. :P

  • @iPodEverywhere37 Okay, Einstein...how would YOU remove the first crane?

  • Somehow, I do not think that crane operator will be doing this job anymore

  • Mount the counter weight? Pretty sure it's built in

  • @junkpusha Pretty sure that it's not,at least on that model,it's removed for transport from site to site.

  • some fine crane on crane action right there

  • Computer problem? My ass! That stupid crane driver just forgot to mount the counterweight. Check the rear of the upper crarriage, nothing!!

    No ballast, no balance!

  • Thats good that they got the crane out of their, Im glade that nobody got hurt and was safe.

  • was the spa ok?!!!

  • @TheOmegaEffect Actually the owner was okay - the company will fix the roof and they will pay for the troubles, so he will get the installation for free!

  • Would have been even funnier if the crane lifting the crane fell!

  • was the crane okay?!

  • Someone upgraded their camera!

  • In the words of Qui-Gon Jinn, 'There's always a bigger crane' .

  • lol nice def all of the sudden

  • Crane pulling a crane?

    CRANCEPTION

  • oh the irony....

  • The hot tub was ok right?

  • now THAT is a crane

  • CRANECEPTION

  • Should have just got Fat Bastard to sit at the top .

  • and the next thing you notice is you have a field full of cranes all because someone wanted to lie in a hot tub xD

  • The person who disliked it is the owner of the house.

  • Two cranes hires, replacement hot tub, house repairs.

  • we need more cranes

  • This looks like a job for OPTIMUS PRIME

  • @Kangarillas this looks like a job for CHUCK NORRIS!

  • They drivers thoughts:

    When in doubt, jump out

  • When in doubt, get a bigger crane.

  • that must cost a fortune!!!

  • usually takes a crane to get them out

  • @Maicomoon well I dont see any mexicans, all I see is white people, so shut the fuck up you fucking racist bastard

  • super transformer?

  • why is there a third crane ?

  • That's what happens when you want things on the cheap like some dirty ass Mexican worker. Those dumbasses should have read the load chart first.

  • @MaicoMoon

DId you not see the video before? No Mexicans were involved.

  • @MaicoMoon lol nothing but white people involved. Nice way to make yourself look like a racist dumbass though.

  • @MaicoMoon Racist AND dumb...lol.. I feel sorry for you.

  • the crane said 15 ton crap

  • Yo dawg, I heard you like cranes...

  • I clicked on the website and saw a bunch of lil bunnies.

  • @Kendall5199 Click on the old posts on this site.

  • Cranes and Dumbasses don't mix.

  • i thought frickin Mr.Bertrand is going to turn into 50 foot maggot when he screams "GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWDD DAMMITT!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAARGHH GAWD DAMMIT!!! AUEOUAEUOEEOUAUGH DAMMIT!!!"

  • i wished i was the neighbor so i could laugh every time he came out and start yelling GOD DAMNIT GODD DAMNITTTTTTTTTTTT

  • Would have be funny if the two cranes also crashed over the house XD

  • @Beatelectrico 8 big cranes

  • @Beatelectrico I LITTARLY LOLD XD

  • @Beatelectrico LMAO! I ALSO THOUGHT ABOUT THAT!!

  • @Beatelectrico I was thinking the exact same thing!

  • @Beatelectrico I was hoping for that too - that's why I was recording it ;-)

  • @Peanuts7 the second crane was there to catch and lower the front end of the crane once the weight transferred

  • Awesome.

  • Why were there two cranes though?

  • that crane should be sentenced to death

  • @Fishy2shoe you mean the company who manufactures the cranes should be sentenced to death? lmfao.

  • @XxSupASkaTeRxX no i meant the crane should be sentenced to death

  • wow, your camera is shitloads better quality :P

  • Adlmf1976 does not know what he is talking about first off it is not a crane driver we are called crane operators

I used to work for that company for many years and the operator in the 175 is one of the best I have met second what the fuck do you mean by jib up I don't see a jib out on the 175 I can only presume u meant boom up so obviously you are not a cco certified crane operator like the one in question or you would know the proper terms so In the future before you talk shit on some one do

  • @elielness49

Don't you worry about my crane experience, that is more then enough to judge this case.

I don't know what CCO is, I guess my certificate is simmilar.

Maybe I'm not from the USA were all the best labourers live, but trust me, I've lifted my fair share.

As you can clearly see, the 175 is not only lifting the crane, but also trying to pull it towards the garage. Thank god the friction underneath the outriggers keeps it in place.

    Anyway, have a nice day.

  • Something appears to be missing below the auxiliary winch, like counterweight.Maybe that's what led to the computer problem, when they told the computer it had counterweight when it didn't.

  • @chuck738 So who's fault is it

  • @foxfire1112 It would be the operators fault, either for not setting the LMI to the proper setup,or for not doing an appropriate pre lift check of conditions, such as the load radius.Out of curiousity I looked up the load chart for this model crane on manitowocs website and would say they were beyond their capacity for the setup, due to boom length, angle and lack of counterweight.

  • What a crapy crane driver in the 175 tonner.

Clearly he did not jib up during the lifting progress, look at the angle the sling are half-way the rescue. (2:20)

If push comes to shove he will pull the crane into the garage.

This rescue was another accident waiting to happen.....

  • How do you extricate a crane from a house?

    Get a bigger crane

  • @jumbybird Actually it took TWO bigger cranes!

  • @verakot Imagine the operating costs for only crane this size per hour. But the Company fixed it, nobody was hurt, thats all you need.

  • @ThePandoraGuy The cost of renting one crane is between $500 to $1,000 per hour. Now looks at the time they spend with 3 cranes and other supporting trucks with weights, people etc.
