There wasn't a stage that played the same sound track twice, wasn't there? I suspected that this was a secret stage...or perhaps just an extra BGM that didn't make the cut. I like it.

There was. Ready funk was used twice, once on the Cargo truck in stage 2, and again on the pirate ship on stage 3.

cool tune. probably for a level that they never made but were origanly going to? who knows? but anyhow its good thay kept it in the BGM bit in options, someone put some work into and it wasnt wasted completely. we can still listen and appreciate it.

no its not. im from the Uk and although the track (from 0:17) is in the game BGM list as 09 its not in the game at all.

It's actually a "Special Track" in the game options. It's not one of the in-game themes.
