haha MK really made this his own track, as he did with many. this is so crappy. does anyone know what lyric is looping in the dub of doom? so i can make sense while singing along to it in my head???
@thearchiveable Yeah, I just read an interview with MK where he mentioned that. In that same interview he mentioned that the rejected version actually had full lyrics in it and wasn't really a dub at all. Sounds like I was wrong about thinking the '95 version was the rejected one.
I see... I'm shocked XD. This one's nice too but is just so different from the mixes.. I confess I love the MK mix but anyway is a shock really, just so far away from the original.. MK remix's more commercial for sure. and here I was trying to find some lyrics, trying 2 remember something that could sound alike so I could find the MK remix I must say now, not t original that I'm knowing just now for the first time.somehow I remembered 'push'' then feeling' so I was able the (remix) song lol..
@thearchiveable me too! I suspect that one of the lesser '95 remixes (the only versions to ever use "ir place to learn ir in the li it's up to") is the originally rejected version.
I found the CD single with the original versions, being this version and an extended version of it. It is quite a different experience I must say since I was used to the The Dub of Doom mix, which is also on the CD. While I do like that Dub of Doom, I really like the original song for the lyrics.
I used to always play this version in my early sets back in the day.........sort of a build up to the real deal which would come up 2 hours later. And, yeah, i had quite a few people come up and ask what's this? The Original dub of doom is still the best.

Its amasing....when I was DJing in the mid 80's and 90's this side of my copy of this record was never scratched or wore out.....Side B however LOL......lets just say its was a shade of grey not gloss black.....This side was used to close the club at the end of the night!
@frdyjns That's an interesting one to explain. That was a circa 2003 remake by John Reed and The Nightcrawlers. The name of the song was still "Push the Feeling On", yet the primary lyrics were completely different. Even weirder is that since Reed clearly knew that he only really known for the mashed-up remix, we actually mouthed the lyrics "Uh-in-the-lives-agai-uh-in-the-li-ii-pull-us" . He must have felt so stupid doing that, but hey he knows where the money comes from!
"If you're feeling under pressure / and something has been on your mind / you gotta have yourself a good time / take a look and you just might find / Pushing it on it on it on..." What song is this? There's a big conffusion about these songs.
i love this cut but the MK rework is mastery. I loved his vocal chop-ups, this and burning and several others amaze me to this day - i heard he went into r+b - hopefully he will grace again with his creativity... YOU HEAR ME MK! COME BACK DAMMIT!
@cordianes Unforunately they tried to emulate this in every track they made afterwards - as they all seemed to have 'push' or 'feeling' in the title :p
Yeah, that's what I thought when I first heard it. I bought the cassette single of the album shown above around 1993 for The Dub of Doom which everyone knows, and it was Side B. This original version was Side A. I remember popping in Side A into my car tape deck, assuming that was the version I was seeking. The funny thing is that for several minutes I thought I bought the wrong song and was getting pissed off....until I heard "their lives again". The I went to Side B and said "whew!"
This is my first time hearing the original. Great post and great MK remix. To take this low tempo song and just totally rework it and make it an anthem....priceless.
@sylhetisoulja I would say that it's the Dub of Doom (MK's first version) that was the most popular...the Edit came a couple of years later. Seriously, can you imagine dancing in a club to the Edit version? It lost most of it's flowing background that was in the Dub.
WOWWWWWW THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! this is SUCH a rare find...i was getting SO aggro over all the remixes which people were mislabelling as "original". THIS is where the monster track of 1995 (which we all know and love) started from...amazing! Thanks to lojo00 for finding this and posting it=)
@Speedmatras No problem! The only mystery is the first word or two - I think it's
'ir' 'uild' in the Dub of Doom. The "Ir" is a piece of the phrase "First in Line" I believe. But it could also be from "Place to Learn" later on. Hard to say since "First" and "Learn" both rhyme, kinda.
And The Dub of Doom seems to use "uild" as the second word, from "Build our lives again". All other versions seem to use the word "In" (probably from "First In Line" again) instead as the second word.
Dude, you totally rock the house for posting this. Thank you! The "Push The Feeling On" case can finally be closed. You have done this Internet a great service.

@TheWazoo75 i disagree, i think the MK 95 dub is best, it has the most verity on it.

This is the original and a good tune in it's own right.
[Original lyrics:]
"And those who suffer pain, will begin to live their Lives again.
And this world will be a place to learn, but its up to you, to pull us through."
95 remix
[Re-sampled lyrics:]
"Their Lives again / Their Li / to pull us through" (Main Loop Throughout Song)
"Place to learn / Their Liv / its up to you" (Secondary Loop)

How can you say the MK Edit is lame? It is that mix that made this a global anthem!!!
Nightcrawlers would have been on the pile of "One-Hit-Track" artist(s).
...and yes I wrote "Track" and not "Wonder" as the original didn't make much of an impact.

There's also the 2004 version, sometimes mislabeled as "original" as well, which has completely new lyrics in addition to the snippets from MK's mix.

Yes, I know that one...and the funny thing is that John Reid actually sings the MK snippets in it. I wonder how dumb he must have felt doing that?
