@SteffersFavourites If they were truly suffering then I GUARANTEE that this fish would be nearly lifeless, flopping around at the bottom of the tank. They would not live to the 20-30 years expected. They're fine, but they can't be placed with more energetic, aggressive fish like Comets because they will chase and hurt them.
i really want one for my fancy tank! where can i find them? does petsmart have them, or do you think my local fish store would have them? i like love these gold fish! do you think it be safe to order them of the internet?
@ATP6TS goldfish can change colour as they grow I have had a few change from black and orange to all orange etc. don't worry it's fine. By the way this tank is far to small. Your fancies will grow to around 6-8". This tank could keep one fancy.
Your video convinced me to buy one back in January! my lionhead lives in a nice 55 gallon planted tank with his goldfish buddies! I have a video of him if you want to check it out :D
I have a Red Cap Oranda, a fish who shares the puffy-head look with the Lionhead. I really want to get a Lionhead to add to my aquarium. They probably do, but just to confirm, Lionheads and Red Cap Orandas can go together in the same tank, right? Thanks so much!!!!!
@shiningstarsrule999 Yup, all fancy varieties can go along well with each other with the exception of the Ryukin, Common, and Comet goldfishes. Ryukin are known to be very aggressive and slim bodied goldfish have a swimming advantage over their chubbier cousins.
Those fish are terrible swimmers because they have no dorsal fin. =(

you need a larger tank than this-considering fish live in sea,s brooks and streams, poor things look cramped.
