@dstackmasta27 I bet you do. I don't even own one and I'm jealous lol. I've poked my head around Vortex and didn't really get the info I was looking for. However I'm a member of GolfMK6 and after reading and hearing what the MK6 has and is I'm sold. Once the time is right I'll be driving my MK6 and loving it. Well until 80k miles from what I understand
@vahdyx WPH =/= BHP.... the Colbalt is set around 260 BHP (factory spec), but is less than that (based on my limited investigation). The TSI is 200 BHP (factory spec), but I have seen anywhere from ~190 up to 215 BHP factory. Stage one is putting down more than the colbalt at the wheels
@dstackmasta27 The Cobalt Turbo is 235-240 WHP stock & 260 BHP stock and weighs a couple hundred pounds less than the MK6. I don't know the exact race results of a stock cobalt turbo vs a stage one mk6, but I do know that a stage one cobalt achieves about 290whp with downpipe & canned tunes for the cobalt don't perform as good as custom tunes. Not to mention torque wins races and a stage one cobalt has over 300 to the wheels. My custom tuned cobalt with stock parts had 366wtq and 266 whp.
@dstackmasta27 But in all honesty my friend, I don't care about all that power as much as I do about refinement. As I dug deeper into the Mk6 world, I do know that it's slower than a cobalt. Cobalt Tuned and fully bolted vs a K04 GTI the cobalt still wins, but what car would you rather have? I'm guessing a K04 GTI and that's how I feel too. I want a GTI regardless. MK6 can get moving and will look bad ass doing it. I'd still rather be in second place in a GTI than first in my Cobalt lol
the down pipe has about 20k miles on it with no problems at all, the only complaint i have is that the hanger doesnt really match up to the original mount but i just bent it to fit besides that down pipe being holding up like a champ
very very nice man, im going straight to stage II but I am doing REVO. Intake (prtobably carbonio but I also like injen and K&N). anyway, my question is, since the downpipe is where almost all the powers for stage II is, how is the ebay one working for you? I am just trying to avoid paying like 600 just for downpipe.....

I'm thinking about selling my Cobalt SS Turbocharged for a Mk6, but 240whp/261wtq seems like molasses. Is the quality good?
