I had this happen on a flight coming from Cleveland back to Nashville, the lightning actually struck right next to where the plane was, though it was only a loud boom and momentary turbulence.

Each commercial jet is hit by lightning on average once a year. The planes are built to withstand lightning easily. Lightning is harmless and does not effect the plane's flying. You are safe flying in lighting.

The reason i know that it didn't get hit by lightning (btw you misspelled it) is that when it happens the passengers aren't told that it happens, the fact of the matter is that it happens all the time but to stop passengers becoming panicked it is illegal for the pilot (the only one other than the co-pilot who realizes it has happened) to tell them that it took place. Learn about a subject before lying about it.
