I dont think the apprentice has a semi- symmetrical air foil it is flat on the bottom and curve on the top basic air foil.

Thanks! I have been building tiny >30gram 3D foamies but found that the smaller you go the more you need the lift, going to try this for my next project and see if it helps, will probably try KFm4 first.

hahaha love your videos, you obviously experience the same things as i used to when i started off. I had a flat plate foamie and took it to fast ( beginner at the time ;) ) and that violet pitch actually follded my wings in half :( and i couldnt agree more with you on the Kf back to the old saying IF IT LOOKS RIGHT THEN IT WILL FLY RIGHT

I do not recommend kfm4 on a 3d extra 300 aerobatic type plane, it just doesnt glide at all, delta wing is ok

@Allexxx96Reloaded THIS IS FOR 3D PLANES, Kfm4 doesn't work at slower speeds, is bad for gliding, good for speed, high alpha is not that great as a flat foam, roll rate is increased, when going from slow flight to speed flight it is like changing gears, after reaching a certain speed the plane gets pushed away faster by the reversed airflow after the step

Great video! another thing you can do with a KF airfoil is just cover it in film or tape. It makes it look slicker and it gets ride of that air bubble which doesnt matter much but itle give you a little more lift
