ACETATE of SUMMERTIME. I recall in the early 70's I was fortunate to pick up from a record shop in Lewisham, south east London the original acetate of Summertime by The Fortunes. It cost me my weeks wages at the time!

Wore this out on 45 vinyl as a kid, but never heard the treble clearly until this post! We must have had cr*ppy players in those days. Also never realised the Cliftones were later the Fortunes, until now. Thanks.

I am a HUGE Fortunes fan...I have been trying to get someone to post their great version of Look Homeward Angel so I can forward to those who dont know of it...would be good to hear Books and Films also !!
