  • Just love how most the NES games were secret developed by Satan.

  • you really make the second boss look easy as fuck. i can't beat him

  • I just got done beating this damn game for the first time. The fire balls do arch back but seems to depend on where you are on screen if they do it. If you are in the air around middle of the screen then they have time to curve back but if you are on the ground or not high enough they go off screen and past the cut off point. Kinda like how a enemy can be half on screen and still throw or shoot at you but if you position it correct the cut off will basically kill them. So this isnt fake or fixed

  • I could never beat the last boss :/ i had my friend beat it for me :( sub 2 my channel guys please thnx

  • AVGN also brought me to revisit the game and have been trying to figure this technique out to use for myself but noticed, if you look closely, at 0:55 and right away again at 0:56 there are strikes that don't even make contact but still take notches off of the boss's lifebar. Everytime I try and beat this, hits have to make direct contact with the boss. What the heck...

  • these games would have been much easier if enemies didn't respawn

  • that's it? nes bosses were pathetic

  • @TrueBlueCanuck i'd like to see you try it

  • @MrSHURIKENCHO i did,bird brain was the easiest

  • I really think that the thing about the nerd is is that he's angry.... no one ever said he was good at games. he's just filled with rage

    but u r good obviously :)

  • @theymightbe1984 no there was something different about these guys games. on the second boss for the nerd, the fireballs came back to hit him after they went offscreen. with this guy they just went offscreen. the nerd is actually extremely good at video games.

  • @Thundrfang I'm not calling u a liar or something dude but... are you suggesting that there are 2 different games? or that the boss fight is different for the nerd then for someone else? because there's no way anyone took the time to program 2 boss sequences into ninja gaiden 1 for nes. help me understand what u mean. i c here that this guy plays tighter toward the middle and that i think dictates where they go. dont get me wrong AVGN = entertaining but i doubt his skills sorry

  • @theymightbe1984 Probably they changed the boss moves from version to version (from american or japanese to european for example) to make the game easier. They used to do that

  • @theymightbe1984 i don't know it's just that in this version, the fireballs just fly right off the screen, for the nerd, they come back and hit him. might be what coliter said

  • @Thundrfang ok i have researched this now. the nerds technique is the culprit. start at 14:mins and watch. the fireballs that actually exit the screen DO NOT come back yet he has some stranglers following him around, left over from a previous shot. and I have searched and found NO EVIDENCE of a different release anywhere GamePlayWise. only to change the name of the game for English speakers. sorry guys. I gotta call it there. unless you have evidence of a harder version: verdict=Guilty

  • @theymightbe1984 your right. the fireballs following him around aren't the fireballs being shot by the boss. i don't know where they came from but they're not from the boss. one weird thing is that while the ninja is playing, the fireballs that were coming back at the nerd weren't there.

  • Did anyone actually do this BEFORE watching AVGN? Good lord. I've played this many times before watching that.

  • wait the second boss, the fire would usually follow me and never stop till it hit me

  • Son of a bitch, I never would've thought to slice the tail off, I kept jumping in, slicing the heart, and holding left to land away from it, it made that fight so much harder.

  • Wanna hear some bullshit? I just played this on my NES for about two hours, no codes or anything: just me and my controller. I got all the way up to the final boss and died. Fine, I had one life left, I can restart at the beginning of 6-3. It put me back at the beginning of the 6th Act. Fuck that. I landed some hits on it, I won. After dealing with all of Act 6, I win.

  • I recently decided to start watchin AVGN again after stopping a long time ago after his silver surfer review, which bothered me cuz bad as it is he complained about it in terms of stuff that I think makes a good shooter, like Darius or R-Type or even Ikaruga.

Is it me or is AVGN just really a shitty gamer XD Oh well. He's good at analyzing a game but he's so baaad at this

  • @KnallisSillan there was something weird about his ninja gaiden game on the second boss. but have you played silver surfer? ikaruga, darius, and r-type were very different from it. you didn't die from everything you touched in them. it was so much easier to tell whats background in those games and whats not. in all those games you can shoot at anything directly in front of you. in silver surfer, the only part covered by you gunfire is the surfboard. its impossible to protect your body/head.

  • MAN YOU GUYS ALWAYS TALK SO MUTCH ABOUT THIS GAME, I HA VE DEFEATED THIS BOSS WHEN I WAS 10, FOR FUCKING SAKE...

  • Arrgh, never have I beaten second form!

  • I can only get up to 6-2.

  • same right after the AVGN episode i had to now if it was possible and it was thnx to u Firebot now i can sleep at night knowing its not impossible

  • probably not the hardest level of difficulty and perhaps unlimited weapons

  • @kwaig0n He only used a sword.

  • @kwaig0n

You can tell his mana is 00 by the second boss, theres no difficulty switch

He explains the patterns in the descriptions.

    Its just hard to execute.

  • I'VE FINALLY BEATEN NINJA GAIDEN JUST TODAY, one of the things I've always wanted to accomplish in my life since childhood.

  • why do old school games have scarier bosses than the current generation? xD

  • What? You made that look so easy.

  • hacker boss is IMPOSSIBLE

  • The life bar refills after every boss. The life bar does not refill when you fight a boss the second time, which happens when you die on that boss and have to go back.

  • @xxgodjrxx Yes, but after each boss you lose your special item powerup. I'd take the life refills over the powerup. You only really need the Art of the Firewheel against Masked Devil, Jacky and Jashin are easy with just the sword.

  • the thing that makes this game so difficult is that if you die at all during the boss, you go ALL THE WAY to Freaking 6-1. If you started at 6-3 again this game wouldn't be as difficult as it is

  • Hey idiots. READ. THE DESCRIPTION. No save states (well, thats what he says anyways) but he also explains why the fireballs dont follow him

  • NUN CHUCK FUCK!!!

  • He can save it right before the boss, he isn't playing it on a real NES like AVGN was, this guy didn't have to start over every time he died.

  • AVGN Bought me here!

  • Holy crap. This game is hard. Thanks for the video, hopefully I can finally beat it. I've been killed by the last boss probably 10 times and every time you have to go back 3 levels.

  • Wow! No wonder I suck at Jacquio. Thanks for the strategy.

I might actually beat this game now. It's been 22 years since I first played it. :/

  • I never could beat Jaquito. Too damn hard.

  • Weird that in ACGN version the 2nd form fireballs came back...

  • @TheBlahamuras yeah i agree on the AVGN the fireballs come flying back and keeps on chassing you

  • @screamsinfamous it's because avgn was on the plataforms and the fireballs turn around before the end of the screen. notice that in this video he goes to the ground when the fireballs come out

  • @Lomaxxx53 OH i C, so its more like a glitch... then'

  • This game is so hard because if you beat the first form and then die, when you make it back to the final boss your life bar doesnt get refilled and its SUPER HARD OMG OMG OMG xD

  • normaly the they said ninja gayyyden!

  • In the vid on AVGN, the fireballs boomeranged from the bottom of the screen. Also - the final boss with full health? Well, even if you are the grandmaster Ninja Gaiden player, this version has easy to dodge fireballs compared to the original release.

  • just use the spinning attack weapon.it kills any boss i you catch him with it

  • How the hell did he get there with full health?

    wqerfsadgbdfsujhngfd

  • Read the description if you have questions about the fireballs.

  • Thumbs up if the nerd brought you here.

  • 1. with an emulator its easy to try and try to beat the final boss

    2. why didnt the fireballs in the second Boss followed u

  • what happened to the fireballs chasing you?

  • I didn't even know there was another boss after Jaquio! That boss looks impossible......

  • How the hell do u do that

  • You do get full health after each section of the boss but man that second form is so much more difficult than he makes it look

  • Angry video game nerd, you lied, this guy CAN

  • I've been playing this game for days and I still can't beat that final boss

  • he's playing in a emulator, he can save and load to manage to get to the final boss with full health, he can save before the boss and retry the battle many times as he wants without starting at the begining of the stage, making this so much easier.

  • @jpvazquezr2009 yeah, but i dont think he used save states

  • @slitheryjuggler94 he can retry the boss every time he wants, learn his patterns, and get good at this fight, if you came from avgn you probably know that he restarts at stage 6 -1if he loses at the boss, this guy can simply load the save state before the boss, emulators make this boss easy to learn.

  • Came after avgn vid too lol

  • came here after avgn review

  • this game is fucking impossible

  • came here after AVGN too

  • Last Boss Looks Really Easy

  • @trbray123 He just makes it look really easy.

  • You think that's hard. I'm just the first game. That's the next game over there. NG2: what's up.

  • I came here after AVGN , really wanted to see is this posible, and is there last boss...

  • Kudos to Firebot. You, sir, are amazing.

  • Damn! Back when I beat NG1, in 1991, I had to use jumpingslash (takes off multiple hit points per use on bosses) to do it. Dude is hard fucking core.

  • does avgn suck? or is this guy just a pro...

  • @TheCyberShinobi He's a pro. I mean - to beat this boss you have to master his scheme of moves and that's hard. Also - as AVGN showed - after dying you go back to 6-1. Which is completly stupid because if you die in 6-2 or 6-3 the game respawns you on that level.

  • @TheCyberShinobi Well, I personally think AVGN intentionally fucks up so he can make his angry noises and make the games seem more difficult than they are. I mean, if he made it look too easy then he'd have no reason to get mad and his title wouldn't mean anything.

  • @kyuubinaruto17 I agree.

  • DUDE, you could've at least shown us the cinematic sequences!

  • Dear God....

  • Dude you are a GOD!!!

  • notice the fire ball do not return. in the avgn vers you have the fire ball coing back to haunt you.

  • @EVILOVERLORDZETTA He explains that in the comment box. They normally home in on you, but if you stay on the ground they'll leave the screen.

  • You make it look easy.

  • NANJA-FUCK!

  • avgn must suck

  • ur a fucking machine!

  • lol a part of castlevania, but the third one...... is it come from contra???

  • In the second boss fight, those fire balls seemed to come more often and follow the main character. So may I ask, what the hell? It's not as hard, I'd say

  • I came here after watching a naked welshman riding a rocked-powered unicycle. -_-

  • this looked so much harder on AVGN

  • @ToolShedHermits just play it,its really harder.. im killing 1 boss w\o weapons, just sword,, its really hard

  • @ToolShedHermits On AVGN the 2nd boss's fireballs bounce back up after they hit the floor.

  • @moisesf606 That because if you jumb all over the place and dont stay on the floor, they cant disappear and they continue to follow you.

  • @MisterGuimond Ohk. I get it now.

  • @ToolShedHermits The really hard part is trying to figure out how to fight the bosses on your first time trying to beat the game. The fact that you get sent back so far when you die is what made it so horrible.

A general rule of thumb for older games like this is that the stages are usually harder than the bosses.

  • @ResChronoNullius

the best part is getting sent back is a glitch

  • @ToolShedHermits i think its just that this guys is extremely kick ass at this game cuz i can't beat it

  • @ToolShedHermits don`t know why,but on AVGN fireballs were chasing you, and here not

  • @Gryphful Description °^

  • @Arisorio oh i get it)

  • @ToolShedHermits Have you beat it?

  • @KedViper no i had trouble on 6-2

  • @ToolShedHermits you wanna know why it looks so easy now? its because the guy playing now is the Master of the ninja in AVGN XD

  • @lagorbian u sir have just blown my mind

  • @ToolShedHermits Because it is hard, the guy playing here is just really good.

  • What the.....?!

  • -speechless-

  • AVGN sent me

  • It's funny how all those hard games seem easy when you watch videos like this.

  • WHAT THE....

  • How come the fireballs didn't follow you during the second phase?

  • came here form AVGN

  • clearly an emulator. Your life doesnt refill between acts on the normal game, plus it took it waayyyy too easy on ya.

  • @ZeColdy

Your life does refill between bosses, just tried it out on my NES. Also, look at the score between bosses, it's consistent. As for "too easy", I can consistently plow through the boss gauntlet without taking more than a hit or two (after years of practice of course). This is by no means "impossible", although many people claim it is (Beating Contra without the 30-lives code is also considered "impossible" by many, but that too is just a reflection of poor/mediocre NES skills.)

  • @Deoxyribonucleases It's strange, I just booted up my NES after watching this as well to see... and the life bar refills between the first couple bosses I did.. but I do distinctly remember the couple times I beat the game that my life bar did NOT refill before this fight.

It does seem to be an emulator or something wrong with it. Because I KNOW those fireballs chase you.

  • @emphaticleech

The fireballs can be lured to the bottom of the screen, where they will then completely disappear. They CAN follow you IF you're not at the bottom of the screen at the right time, since they'll reverse direction too soon and start flying upwards again. The trick is to stay low enough so that their momentum is too great to change direction before they hit the edge of the screen. I've beaten this game countless times on a real NES, and the fireballs behave exactly the same.

  • @Deoxyribonucleases I'm just not cool enough to do it like that lmao. I can still beat it, but dammit I never knew that!

  • Before you jump, you must look....

Before you look, you must think....

Before you think, you must feel....

Before you feel, you must........ er.....

  • @shoopdacrap avgn haha i was brought here by him

  • The game seemed to take it very easy on you. Especially the last boss. I'm used to getting four fireballs thrown at me and they follow me around until I get hit. Something didn't seem right here. But if I'm wrong, definitely props.

  • i seem to remember a spinning blade attack you could upgrade too. i beat this game when I had it way back when. still wish I had it. it was an awesome game.

  • dude this is the most hard game i evar played

  • Emulator Bullshit...you are just cheating

  • LAME, he was hit 3 times!

  • AVGN should have google'd this before giving up xD

  • HARD ..... IMPOSIBLE....

  • Man I wish I was playing this game right now so I can do what I've always wanted. Complete this game which I loved playing as a kid but never got to because the last boss is too damn hard.

  • the Reason the fireballs isnt chasing him because the only way they can do that is u have be in the pillars for a long time

  • You are a true ninja

  • AVGN sent me

  • why the fireballs aren't following you ?

  • lol the last boss looks so much easier then the previous bosses

  • AVGN will be mad if he saw this

  • Suck. Hes using emulator to save game with full Hp on boss. Avg is playing on a real nes.

  • who is avgn ?

  • This guy makes it look so easy

  • Why don't the fire balls follow you on the second boss man? They do on the NES.. Is this an emulator?

  • looks like an emulator

  • NUNCHUCK FUCK!

  • wow your fucking good. They should rerelease these on psn or xbox live

  • damn you Jaquio... I @$#%ING hate you! I still can't beat him lol.

  • GOD TIER

  • I think AVGN was exagerating on the difficulty a bit.

  • he's a jew, david's star is on the floor.

  • How come when AVGN played the 2nd boss the fireballs didnt just fall through the floor like here, but flew back up?

  • @Sifinland because AVGN was jumping on the pillars adn the fire followed him up. If you stay on the ground they vanish.

  • I see. On the second phase, you're supposed to stay on the floor when it shoots it's fire balls so the projectiles despawn. That makes sense.

  • D:

  • Haha I remember for the longest time I could alwasy beat the first two main bosses except the last dragon thing. i was convinced that the game was broken or something. I never realized that you had to bust the head and tail after so many hits. Like i'd hit it, but there was no flashing hit detection (cept for the little grunt it gave off) Need to give this another go one day. Just have to pull out my nes from storage.

  • you make it look so easy

  • AVGN Was here

  • lol i just watched the aVGn episode, and now this.

this isnt look hard at all xD..

(and i was playing with NES and SNES back than!

  • What the.....?

  • When AVGN played this, it looked like the fireballs followed him around the room, here hey just take a straight shot to the ground...what gives?

  • @cochise82 i think AVGN stayed on top the pillars but he let them reach the ground then jumped back up

  • Lol all of the comments are about AVGN and I watched this right after the AVGN video to see how to do it.

  • I came here after watching AVGN review

  • now he has ninja skills

  • im wondering how dude got to the boss with full energy. judging by that one part on AVGN's vid - you know....the cluster fuck of enemies on that one ledge.

  • Even I admit, by watching how you did this boss fight. I havent played the game and saying by "Looking at it" it look a little too easy. But thats just saying by looking instead of actually playing.

So...yeah to my eyes, boss looks way to easy. Atleast 2nd and 3rd. First one, definatly looks like you need a "2nd weapon" to win.

  • dude you are awesome at this game

  • wow u just pwned AVGN, u make it look so easy

  • AVGN brought me here to, so I can see if anyone can beat it. Damn, you barely got hit...

  • your like a ninja dude..

  • NUN CHUCK FUCK!

  • came here from AVGN

  • OH MY GOD, fucken amazing. We are looking at a ninja master :)

  • you hacker you cant beat this game

  • @AVGNZero and your a BITCH who cant believe that somebody beat it without hacks and save states.

  • @909Coult you lie you hack nobody could ever get this far

  • @AVGNZero no it is possible stop being obnoxious, why would he use hacks that dont even exist

  • @909Coult Then he made the first hacks for the nes so he could play it online and hack

  • @AVGNZero what? dude leave me the fuck alone
