  • niceeeee

  • his voice is amazing.

  • God bless your life and your spirit Boaz............i proclame that you will sing for God almigthy

אפשר לדבר עם אלוקים גם בלי כיפה.

  • he's great.i love his songs.

  • Boaz Mauda, he sung at Eurovision 2 years ago - awesome

  • @antonio17877

This is Boaz Mauda from Israel.

  • and who are you to say this isnt in "kedusha"? you dont know where he has come from or where he is going. i doubt the avot wore kippot :)

  • gmara-it is not chaval but rather a testament to how beautiful our faith is that it can move people even they might not relate directly to it as we might define right now.

everytime i hear this it moves me

  • well, let's don't go in long arguments in your god and my god, we all in humanity should anderstand each other and respect each other and most important thing to respect all religions even if we didn't believe in them.

So, let's enjoy the video and the song.

  • חבל שזה לא בקדושה

  • wow - he knows it all

    great vid

    keep em coming!

  • When i close my eyes, and listing to his voice, its just like to listen to an angel !

  • On jest boski!!

  • יפה

  • he is a skillful vocalist... he's got good control of the voice and yay he is hot.

  • thekinaesthetic you moslem, no problem, but dont to poke one's nose

  • Hebrew is a language that same tha Arabic, and it was spoken for long time ago. The holy book of Torah written in Hebrew, then jews added and removed some of the words in Torah. So that god revealed the holy book Quran, and he promised that no one will be able to change any word of Quran.

old Yemenite jews used to sing that song as a worship and for the king of the 7 heavens.

    thanks..

  • thekinaesthetic, usually i do not reply to stupidity, but please check your sources before you publish funny sentences about 'holy' here and 'holy' there.

I have a question for you, dear Moslem, what religion did Mohammad's parents have? were the Jews or Christians?

  • you call my writing stupidity, I will not abuse you and fall in long argument, cuz if you are a polite person you wouldn't say these words.

Prophet Muhamad's parents were not christians nor jews, they didn't know allah at all, in the comming of muhamad they new everything.

  • Heirloom100, Please do not try to insult our inteligance. Muhamad's parents lived among Jews and Christians and still did not G-d? how come?

You want to believe your religion is the best? Be my guest, but do not try to convince others their history and others' are lies and yours is the only truth.

  • well let me answery you Mr.Shati ... at that time there were jews,Chritians and Pagans . Mohammed's parents and all of their dsends family were Pagans and got several scplatures gods .OK. at least this the history mentioned that .if the history of Beni Israel said something else I am not surprise ,cuz they changed as they modifed book of god Tourah and you know this very well .

  • Dear Yamani2007, I see you have you read Tousand and one Nights. One of the biggest differences between Judaism, Christianity and Islam is the Judaism was the FIRST and you guys came afterwards. Not to forget to mention the fact the only Chosen people are the Jews. So far, as for history and facts. As for the rest, believe in whatever you want. The rest of the world knows the truth.

  • Good ,, I agree with you ,,,i know you jews were the choosen but not any more ,,, and if you think that jews still the choosen then i would like to convert to be a jewish in order to go to paradise cuz God is Rahmun Rahim and he loves all people to go to paradise ,right.the question is ,Will jews grant me and allow me to be one of them without complications ??answer please .

  • Dear Yamani, you may convert to whichever religion you want. you should only know that in order to convert to Judaism, you must learn a lot (and I mean A LOT). The process is long and you will have to work hard in order to do so. In any case, there is no reason to convert as long as you believe in one G-d and as long as you are kind to people. The name of the religion is not important for a believer...

    from a Yamania:)

  • WOW, the best thing is when your religion is easy process to make people love it. Islam does not require hard process just say 2 sentences to convert to Islam it is not for Arabs but for the whole world .

what is your area in Yemen ???

  • Yamani, 'easy process' is changing your socks, not your religion... and religion is not something to 'love' but to live by. Becoming muslem reguires 2 sentences, and getting divorced requires 3 words...One should be very careful with which words come out from one's mouth, and that requires a lot of knoweledge:)

(my parents are from Yemen and I am very proud of it)

  • But what part of Yemen your parnets came from ,if you know ??

  • Boaz is talented, this is a god gift to his slave.

  • This song is SOOOOO Beautiful and amazing! What a song of pure and honest worship!!! I so very much love this:) The Lord is going to use Boaz in a big way:) Boaz has been blessed with an amazing voice:)!!!!! I could listen to this over and over again :)!!!

  • Yemenite pride

  • Hahah, good question. It is the Finnish translation of the name Proudfoot which is featured in The Lord of the Rings :) (literally jalo=noble, jalka=foot/leg). And it was the name of my pet when I registered!

  • I'm learning the alefbet now - it's fun! But I am wondering why the last letter in Boaz' name is ד? Isn't that 'd'?

I know ב is 'b', ו is 'o' (and the vowel dot would be above it), but then it gets tricky. What would the vowel mark look like for ע to make it 'a'? And why is it not ז at the end?

Oh how I love this language :).

  • ur right its not a ד which is a d

its a ז which is like a z in english..the letter is called zayeen.

    I hope this helps!

    Doron

  • Thanks! So his name should be בועז? You see, I saw it written בועד which is why I'm confused :).

By the way, is he very famous in Israel now? This show is how he started singing?

  • yeah he is pretty famous i mean i like in los angeles but im pretty informed on what goes on there and yeah this show is how he became famous..

i have a question what does jalojalka mean is it in another language?

  • The last letter in Boaz's name is ז ("zain"), it's similar to ד (dalet) in its shape, but they sound different. ד is indeed like d, ז is like z.

Hebrew is indeed very difficult for people who don't practice semitic languages, but if you like it then I'm sure you'll learn it, one way or another:)

  • i wish i can understand hebrew... i mean i speak arabic.. and i sometimes understand some words from mauda's songs !....i hope so ....

  • Good voice !

  • When this guy came out to test the equipment in the Eurovision song contest, the other artists were intimidated by his voice... He got such a powerful voice, it's amazing.

  • השיבני ואשובה

  • Great voice..love him

  • Your comment is so funny that I had to answer..

    are you kidding or what?

    zionist= Israelis.

    zionist= loyal to his homeland.

    all Israeli called zionist.

    You must read more books.

  • Bravo Boaz

    greetings from Turkish-germany^^

  • First Judaism then came the Islam ISLAM IS THE LAST STAGE

the christian religion, today is an roman invention!!!

  • Sorry but your kinda wrong. Yes first came Judaism then Christianity then Islam.

  • Christianity is an roman invention!!!!

  • Even if it is a roman invention it still came before islam

  • its not important its a lie Torah and later Silam are the truth the bible in the beginig was right but the romans have canged it !! Zodiac religion

  • I could say the same thing about islam. It broke from the truth of the torah and muhammad changed it all to fit his needs. i could say that

  • thats right blue...

  • I read its lyrics' translation to English, it is same as us Muslims, We belong to God while we live and after life!

  • translation? please

  • Here you go.

I translated for you the words on the video.

By the way, this is a jewish hymn that was written in the 12th century in the time of the jewish exile.

Boaz sings a part of the whole hymn.

  • OH MY GOD!!!! HE'S AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!

  • if anyone has the original amateur video of boaz mauda singing "lacho eli" in the striped shirt strumming the guitar at the place where people were eating, can you please post it on youtube again? This version of Lacho Eli is not as good as the original! (though Boaz is still awesome singing this one too).

  • such an angel.. he's so quiet always, a bit shy.. if anyone can sing it's Boaz :) also an angel voice.. Ani ohev Boaz Mauda..

Lots of love from Tel Aviv/Amsterdam

  • Boaz, épouse moi! :)

  • amazing voice, wonderful song!!!!!

  • Wonderful!

  • NEVIDJENA PESMA.....

  • 5 stars, i love when he sings this song..

was it like the eurovision contest? what place did he reach?

  • I have, but i didnt upload it!

  • does anyone have a video of Miodio from this festival?Which place Boaz got?

  • He is the best person that i have ever met in my life!!!

  • Nice, it's other than his other lacho eli performances, faster, it's cool!

  • Which place did he reach in this festival?

  • he finished 7th.

i thought he would do better. he had an amazing song, definitely above all others in quality and originality. Important to say that the festival wasn't broadcasted live in serbia, only via website, so he received very few votes, I'm sure that if it was live he would get much more pts. as he has a big fan base in serbia now, at least the press was writing a lot about him so he had a good promotion.

  • Thanks a lot! 7th place out of 34-36(?) is actualy not bad at all. I didn't think he'll win, cause he relies only on his wonderful voice. All the other stuff (lack of show, dancers, fireworks, a catchy song) are against him.

Many people are not really looking for quality.

    Thanks again!

  • It's amazing how people can be so blind and deaf. "To be an artist is to be misunderstood."

Maybe the slower and simpler version - say just acapella - would have stood out more from the rest? Perhaps? But who's to tell. If people are stupid, it won't help even if you stood on your head.

  • Bardzo ładnie ;)

  • <3 lovely :)

  • Ah, so beautiful.
