Why should redistribution of wealth even equal to socialism? Capitalism can help the poor to a certain extent but it's unfair that some Americans have no food and no home while other possess hundreds of millions or even billions, which is way more than anyone could ever need. Bill Gates recognizes he doesn't need his billions and is giving most away.

@singlaprety12 I agree with you. The rich should be taxed more. Socialism doesn't necessarily mean spongers living off the state while other work hard all day. Sweden is mildly Socialist and everyone has to contribute to society while nobody goes without. They have free, universal healthcare and have one of the highest standards of living in the world. This is possible even within a capitalist framework. I think people should always be incentivized to work hard but within a fairer society.

In America the poverty line is set at 14% therefore by definition- without any accounting- one out of 7 are CONSIDERED poor even though they may not actually be poor

The Gov in America DOES NOT provide food stamps, housing assistance, Medicaid, welfare, scholarships, or any kind of assistance for those that live in Beverly Hills. Yet the people in Beverly Hills r the ones who pay the most for those programs

No. However I grew up in poverty and for a short period was homeless. I worked hard, often up to 80-100 hours a week, started a business, and became, to a certain degree "successful". My friends and family who remain poor, do the bare minimum and blame others for their shortcomings, usually work as little as possible, yet still complain about their situation. This is just my experiences. I wish you the best.

But there are many people who cant find jobs or is sick and unnable to work, theese people are suffering. When you work more than a standard work week you are taking work from someone else. Corporations love to do this with employees paying them salary then expecting 60 hours a week of work. They cut their costs by having individuals do more than the work of 1 person.
