  • I love your song!!!!! Wonderful!!!!! It's like the DDR way of Grease!

  • @KHLover1234 Thanks!!!

  • It's the Konami Code. Thats why it's called 30 Lives because in Konami's Contra, you got 30 lives if you entered it. Gyawd.

  • @whitmanX23 Thanks for clarifying.

  • THIS IS AWESOME!

  • @Soniczerogravity100 Thank you!!!

  • oh how embarrassing I'm not to famillar with pontiacs

  • @souixis Ventura is part of the GTO line I believe, so you were correct! Wikipedia says: In 1974, the Pontiac GTO name moved to the Ventura from the intermediate LeMans line. The GTO package gave the basic Ventura a 350 cu in. (5.7L) engine with a four-barrel carburetor of about 200 hp (149 kW)....The GTO package could be ordered on the hatchback Ventura as well as the base and Custom coupes.

  • @TheMotionSick very cool just too much muscle for me, i dont think i could keep one in shape.

  • @borat199106 The concept was inspired by the Konami Code

  • that is a beautiful gto

  • @souixis Thanks! 1974 Ventura!

,it keeps reminding me of the girl i like =)

  • THis song makes me think of my wife. We first heard this song on DDR U3 and both loved it. We're both gamer nerds and I wouldn't mind spending thirty lives with her. I just decided right now that at our thirtieth anniversary, we'll dance to this. No one will get it, but that's how we are.

  • Awesome! I wrote the song for my wife, so I am glad you connect with it that way.

  • Awesome video. Those shades are fuckin sweet

  • Thanks!

  • Somebody sang this song at Animefest 2009 for karaoke, and that was the first time i had heard it. we ended up joining the up up down down dance in the audience and learning it. This is such a sensational song. I am so amused XD You guys are great.

  • i know why konami put this song in DDR X cus the mix name ^^

  • Omg i love you guys! Keep it comming up. This is my Fav sogn to play on DDRU3

  • Thanks! Rock on!

  • The song got famous cause both DDR X US and DDR Universe 3 were Released at the same day (September 16 2008)

  • I'm not sure how famous it is yet, but thanks!

  • But this song is really catchy when you listen to it, even when you are playing DDR.

  • Your style of clothe is Awesome!

  • Thanks Bolt! Jessica Mingolelli did a great job as our stylist. If anyone in the Boston area is looking for someone to work with, let us know and we'll point you toward her.

  • I love the Mascot too =D

  • the name of the song came from a cheat code of contra Up,up,down, down, left, right, left, right,

    B,A,select,start

  • Yeah.

  • The code originated from Gradius not Contra.

  • Yes, but most famous from Contra.

  • Spirit finger at the end lolz

I play this song first every time I play DDR heh heh

  • Oops I mean *fingers

  • We've been calling it "wizard hands." Thanks!

  • I love this song (thanks to DDR Universe 3). Could you upload a higher quality version of the Video? Thanks!

  • Thanks. The quality is limited by Youtube, but if you head on over to our web site at themotionsick com slash 30lives, you will be able to see a better stream of it and follow the link to a better quality download.

  • i loooveee this song! (:

  • Thank you!!

  • i love this song on DDR. i kick it's ass

  • Thanks Julie!

  • This is a great remix.

  • Thanks!

  • Oh yea, and I wish there were a show in Dallas. My parents would never drive me 3 and a half hours all the way to Austin....

  • If only I could be you.... To bad I've only got 1 life. 30 would be nice though.

    Here is my theory:

The more times I listen to this song, the longer I'll live. I'll slowly be moving closer to 30 lives, one day at a time. This could take a while.

If I could do one thing with my life, it would be to turn out like you guys.

    I'm only 15, I've still got time.

This is my new theme song.

  • Thanks a lot for your comments! Glad you like the song. There is still some chance we might make it to Dallas some time around when we're down in Austin for SXSW, so please keep an eye on our schedule!

  • I'd love to spend another 30 lives listening to this song. It is one of my favorite songs. Though, I can't really compare it to other genres of music I like (such as rock/metal). That's like ye ol apples to oranges comparison. Yea there both fruit but two totally different entities.

  • I love this song so much it's my favorite to play on DDR. You guys should put it on the radio, it's so awesome! :D

  • Thanks a lot. We've gotten a pretty good amount of radio play, particularly on college radio, though some commercial stations as well. We've also had the video aired on most major music video networks.

  • wow, i heared your original 30 lives song but this one sounds more like techno and i play this on ddr like every day, and i love how its at the top of the list!!! go motion sick!!!! you rock

  • Thanks TH!

  • Great Remix! The song is very recognisable. I'm sure if you promote your music, you can reach an even larger audience. One question though; was the beat and sounds of the song based on another song? The song sounds very familiar.

  • It's not based on any specific song. It's written and performed to sound like late '50s/early '60s pop music, which has a general formula and feel.

  • I loveee this song and not just because it is on ddr.

  • Thanks! Glad you like.

  • love the video. very creative yet simple. and gotta love the part at 1:25 that copies the part from back to the future and of course the wizard hands. quick question: is susie from the vid supposed to be based on someone?

  • Thanks a lot. The whole video is kind of an homage to both Grease and high school movies from the '80s. We tried to be a little subtle mostly, but there are a lot of general (and specific) references thrown in. Most people don't notice them.

  • Oh, I forgot then to specify that Susie is probably most based on Sandy Olsson (Olivia Newton-John) from Grease, though that is not the sole source for the character.

  • I absolutely adore this song. I finally got the chance to play this song barely recently as I waited months longer for the Japanese version of DDRX. It's a cute track, so nice of Boardjam to finally pick catchy music as winners of the 2008 DDR song contest. Kodus to this and Till the lonely's gone.

  • Thanks. Glad you like the song!

  • what's Universe? another version of DDR? if so, what region or console is this on?

  • Universe 3 is the current version on XBox 360 in the US.

  • The last part of this video cracks me up. You know the finger part LOL

  • me too XD LOL

  • Wizard hands is what we call it!

  • XD awesome!

  • Konami should of used the video from 1:13 to 2:00 on DDR X or DDRU3

  • The DDR version is a shorter song, but I think they did a nice job syncing everything and using as many of the different scenes as they could fit in.

  • Comment removed

  • We call that "wizard hands."

  • sorry i met subscribled

  • Subscribled it is.

  • subscibled

  • Thanks!

  • I will personally whore this song, once X is out in the arcades.

  • Thanks! Much appreciated. Also check out our web site and make friends with us on myspace, etc. if you'd like. I think the arcade version is supposed to be out in the middle of 2009.

  • "I think the arcade version is supposed to be out in the middle of 2009."

    Wooo!

By The Way: I still love this song D: Decided to watch it and comment it once more ;D

  • Awesome!

  • I think they are reffering to the Contra code that gives you 30 lives instead of three:

at the title screen press Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Select, Start = 30 lives cheat code

  • Indeed we are.

  • Oh and by the way this is my new favorite song!

  • Thanks! Rock on!

  • Why yes they do!

  • This is one of my favorite songs to dance to in DDR X. The beat is extremely catchy and the lyrics are cleverly written. I also think that the dancing polar bears are awesome.

  • Thanks very much for the kind words. Dancing polar bears always make life better.

  • I really like this version of this song. I version I can listen to at least. I wonder if The Motion Sick will agree to have more of there songs on future DDR games.

  • If the opportunity arises and we have a song that is appropriate, we'd do it for sure.

  • This song sure is catchy. I discovered it through the new ddr game. I like it, but does the "up up down down" part refer to something...perhaps an actual game code?

  • Yeah, it's the Konami Code. The general idea of the song is using the cheat code to get 30 Lives to spend with someone...

  • Yeah I figured it was a code to get 30 lives...I just didn't know if it were a real code. I don't think that code will help very much in DDR unfortunately! XD

  • The "select" added refers to 2 people, right? Or was it just a mistake?

  • Not a mistake. It refers to having 2 people with 30 lives.

  • i meant DDR Revolution X. lol srry lol XD

  • Thanks a lot for the nice comments! Rock on!

  • Loove this frickin' song sooo much! lol As soon as I got DDR Xtreme, i found this song and was like 'this is hot!' lol soo yeah, pertty much love it!! The Motion Sick is pertty much amazing! =P

  • You should be proud, it's a very nice song.
