The blades are turned by a 120 volt DC permanent magnet motor (same motor as the loco uses) running at 24 volts. There is about a 6 to 1 reduction in the chain and sprocket drive.
1 question what happens if you accidentaly have a runaway train? do you let it go around the loop and catch it when it comes back around or do you run after it?
OK. To get it in that mode one would have to be on the locomotive, open the throttle, and then jump off at high speed. That is not something I would like to try. But let's say it did happen. The train would be totally happy circling the track at full throttle.
To shut it off I just reach through the window and pull on the brake lever. -- Bill
That's awesome

Not at this time. Maybe soon.
I could be wrong but it looks like you use the same snowplow as I have on my
NB1 and NB2 switchers,

How is your plow engineer? What is moving the blades.
My plow has been custom made, and refined so that it works. When i got it, it was esthetic.
Thanks

@trainzchronicles
All cars have electric brakes. If trainline voltage is lost all cars
automatically apply their brakes.

@islandpondrr no i mean if the engine is in full throttle without you on what would you do in that case?
