A Classic Army 249 para has a quick spring change gear box, and a quick release barrel, and uses a 2000+ round magazine, and can use M4 mags which u can borrow from your buddies if u run out of BB, and it's stock can be retracted so it can be used in more cqb spaces, AND is just down right sexy. So in theory...a CA 249 Para is the best AEG evar?!

this gun was just a really stupid idea. For military.. COOL! i can use AK-47 ammo in my gun and still look tacticool. For airsoft. Wtf i can't use AK mags!? Gay.... Mags are $15 each! gay. This waste of space is more than the STANAG version Masada.... Wow guess what i'm not buying. For $500 i would buy the 5.56 version. Fuck looking different, masadas are different as is.

If you take the barrel out like tim has done you are at risk of breaking your hop-up! Make sure to turn your hop all the way off before doing it! Like so people dont break their masadas!!

@Arostyle380 No, they cannot take regular AK mags. This is due to the hopup and feeding tube placement. So you have to use the special PTS AKM mags.

The problem with having one gun to do several jobs is that a specific gun made for Field will definitely outrange and outperform a gun used for both indoor and outdoor. This gun's internals can't really hold up to anything higher than a 120 so I wouldn't use it for field.

@chubbs636 Um more like past 475fps is DMR. This gun can't really pull a spring higher than 120 reliably because Ares, yes ARES, OEM'd the parts for this gun. The motor is eh. I'm just saying that you can't have a gun do every sort of mission perfectly. I'd rather have a long range rifle for a field and a close quarters Sub machine gun or Short barrel rifle instead of an "all-in-one" gun as specialists work better. Not just in guns either.

@MrMopply the average mid sized ensured field will have a limit of 400 on full auto. and a 500 max for semi auto aegs used by known experienced players. over 400 BBs will start popping into skin at close range, and from experience i know that sucks quite a bit of ass.

of course the huge fields like the ones out in utah they go past 600 for 350+ foot engagements.

im pretty sure this gun could handle 455ish fps easy and maybe with a motor upgrade push 500. just no dry firing.

@natarionus I have an ak and a galil, they both have the same type of fire selector switches. I think all the guns you listed all have the same general selector plates. If they all have different selector plates then why is there only one type of v3 gearbox? If i was to buy a v3 gearbox would i have to specifically search v3 gearbox for g36? it doesnt make any sense

I'm assuming that the take down process is the same for the normal masada, and also, i called you guys a week ago and asked if i should put a harder spring into my masada, you (airsoft gi) told me that i shouldn't because the gears wouldn't be able to handle a harder spring
