a justin bieber video has 300000000 views.that means that 300000000 dont understand what real music is...QUEENSRYCHEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Glad to see im not the only Queensryche fan. Amazing how underrated they are. Just saw them on the Shiprocked cruise. Got to meet and get pics with Geoff and Scott and their tour manager 'Fozzy'. Couldn't have met a nicer bunch of guys and soooooo giving to their fans. It was the time of my life. I too have been following them since 83. They surely deserve to be in the Hall of Fame. Hopefully someday!!
By far they are one of the most powerful and talented bands out there!!! been enjoying their music starting from their first Lp. have had the pleasure to see them live countless times. they come to cleveland alot. u could close ur eye's and u would be thinking ur listening to a CD. that's how good they are, period !!!!!
I am learning the art of Operatic Classic Rock Style Singing, while some songs are more complex than others, this has to be one of the most technically difficult songs to sing vocally not just because of the high range but the amount of details in the delivery of the song . On that note, I think Geoff was one of the most underrated metal singers of his era !!!
@crypticify Fuckin' yeah. While I'm not a singer, I've had enough musical training to understand about the intricacies of Operatic Rock singers like Tate. Don't forget that a 4 octave vocal range doesn't hurt him either.
@Absolutemusica1 - my better half is British and we lived there for 7 years, so I can appreciate what your sayin'. Maybe I could bring one over for ya next time we fly over, lol
I saw these guys when they Opened for Def Leppard in 88. I've been hooked every since. These guys kick ass, only wish they could kept the line-up togehter!
@richintalent The Government sucks at covering stuff up. We'd know. And also, in this, the government didn't make Nikki and other into assassins; a private subversive, Dr. X, did.
Let's never forget the horrors the children suffered at Penhurst State school and hospital. That's what this song is all about. From 1908 to 1987 it was a state dumping ground for mentally handicapped children, underfunded and understaffed these children never had a chance. It's heartbreaking.
had the opportuntity to see queensryche/dream theater under one billing!! an out door event on a hot summer night. it was amazing and what made the venue more impressive was that for the encore, both bands came out a played together, performing material from each. it was so killer!!! one of the better venue's i've seen in a long while!!! pretty much i never miss out on seeing queensryche to begin with lol great band to see live!!! :)
@asmodeus9lord I wouldn't call it opera. But I couldn't agree with you more. Add Sebastian Bach (Skid Row)(Not to be confusend with Johann Sebastian Bach - the baroque composer) to that list please.
Can someone help me with this conception thing? Sorry, I never knew about the storyline. I would dearly appreciate anyone briefly telling me about it. Many people say it's the best conception album of all time. Thanks.
and yes im noone to say whats good or bad,,,but to me mindgrime helped me through so much ,,,,,,,,,,,i drifted away into the music then and now.........cause it is from the heart........it lives on for me and many many others...........mindcrime
noone in the world has come close to this cd ,,,,it would stand alone as the best cd of all time...so as time passes by some good some bad but this cd,,will always be the best from the first to the last song,,,it is metal real thoughts of a time that was real to me.................the best MINDCRIME
One of the best they've ever done! that said It's a shame that they changed so much from this golden era when Geoff Tate still had his amazing voice that I think he almost completely lost along with the whole Queensryche image for my it´s not the same band anymore and it's a shame so i holding on to the "old" Queensryche =)
I have seen them quite a few times. One concert when they played killing words I cried like a baby because my wife had just left me and that song has allot of meaning about relationships failing
I thought it was maiden when I heard the singer (not really at the start), but the guitar sounds more like Dokken so I was unsure... and stumbled upon this band! I'm loving this song.
