  • What were the names of the actors who played Nikki, Dr. X and Sister Mary in the videos?

  • Comment removed

  • it looks like lil wayne is in ahh. thinking to himself is this what talent really sounds like.

  • WHAT KILL MARY ?

  • how many more lies will they tell me

  • God I loved this album. Epic then, and still great today.

  • Best Metal Band of all times

  • Skrillex can go fuck himself

  • I've always known the mirror never lies. That's why I always see if I look like a stranger. Yet I always do. Well you know the mirror never lies...

  • Great opening guitar riff this song is one of the groups best songs

  • I'm trying to figure out who has the wider vocal range, Geoff Tate or Rob Halford.

  • @n5iln oh thats easy ROB!!! but dam Tate can bellow out them tunes :D

  • try my cover:

    /watch?v=6nKnLlZQaMA

  • Am i the only one that gets turned on by that nuns stare?

  • a justin bieber video has 300000000 views.that means that 300000000 dont understand what real music is...QUEENSRYCHEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • If I didn't know any better I would think that this guy with the goatee is Anton Szandor LaVey. Can anyone confirm this?

  • efn awsum!!

  • ~ Duct tape is silver ~ Silence is golden ~

  • These guys were definitely the shiznit back in the day. Really overlooked.

  • My alltime favorite...nuff sed

  • Glad to see im not the only Queensryche fan. Amazing how underrated they are. Just saw them on the Shiprocked cruise. Got to meet and get pics with Geoff and Scott and their tour manager 'Fozzy'. Couldn't have met a nicer bunch of guys and soooooo giving to their fans. It was the time of my life. I too have been following them since 83. They surely deserve to be in the Hall of Fame. Hopefully someday!!

  • By far they are one of the most powerful and talented bands out there!!! been enjoying their music starting from their first Lp. have had the pleasure to see them live countless times. they come to cleveland alot. u could close ur eye's and u would be thinking ur listening to a CD. that's how good they are, period !!!!!

  • The most impressive band I've ever listened.

  • I've probably listened to the whole album 3 times since Thanksgiving and still can't stop. Even after all of these years, it's still legendary.

  • Love this song! Underated.

  • Halford voice was great, but lacks the range and substance of Geoff Tates. If there was American Idol in the 80's, Geoff Tate wins hands down.

  • @universe112 American Idol wouldn't have allowed music this cool, even back then.

  • Proud to be a Washingtonian!!!

  • I DON'T WANNA SEE A GAY SINGIN' "I'M SEXY AND I KNOW IT" YOU ARE UGLY, ASSHOLE... I WANNA SEE QUEENSRYCHE! FUCK VEVO ADS....

  • I am learning the art of Operatic Classic Rock Style Singing, while some songs are more complex than others, this has to be one of the most technically difficult songs to sing vocally not just because of the high range but the amount of details in the delivery of the song . On that note, I think Geoff was one of the most underrated metal singers of his era !!!

  • @crypticify Fuckin' yeah. While I'm not a singer, I've had enough musical training to understand about the intricacies of Operatic Rock singers like Tate. Don't forget that a 4 octave vocal range doesn't hurt him either.

  • 17 people are obviously naive to kick ass music!

  • monjita ummmmmm

  • yeaah QUEENSRYCHE YEAAH!!!!!!!!!!!

  • On the road listening to this song... NICE!! :)

  • Rob Halford is AMAZING 1busterchops don't be a fucking HOMOPHOBIC ASSHOLE~

  • First band I wanted to play in. Great music. Great voice.

  • And yes folks. Watch and learn. You stray to far from sanity and you will see what they show in the first part of video.

  • he's singing about himself. probly a poor catholic boy that was abused. truly a sad song. but a very good one.

  • Hey Nicki, you know everything that there is to do. Here's a gun, take it home, wait by the phone.....

  • Sounds so much like bruce omg its beautiful!

  • Don't care about Halford's sexuality one way or the other. I just love Queensryche!! MUAH!! Love 'em!

  • FUCKING MASTERPIECE OF AN ALBUM,IT COULDN'T END WITH A BETTER SONG

  • @dimetonn

I couldn't agree more. The whole album kicked ass!!

  • Hard to believe this album is going to be 24 years old. I can't think of any the current era bands that have pulled off a project like this.

24 years from now....what will people be playing from this generation?

  • @TheKhaot1c Dream theaters managed to carry on the good word of prog. metal, only it is a bit to technical for most.

  • @dimetonn I was at this show,in Worcester,Ma.

MOST AMAZING show .... Wish i had a time machine back to REAL music.

  • they cut out of the best parts of the song! Still amazing tho!

  • nao vo comprar um motorola por causa dessa propaganda estupida

  • 17 people were watching this video upside down.

  • 17 justin bieber fans watched this video by mistake!

  • @showmedamoney Sorry to tell you mate but its starting to be a little bit dull...

  • Awesome concept album! One of the best of the 80s

  • GAWD.... I wanna bang Carrie Underwood...

  • great lyrics, great vocals, kicks ass over the marketing projects they now call music

  • This song is freaking amazing

  • 1 of the Best concerts ever----- Operation LIVEcrime -- Filmed here in madcity WI !!

  • bella

  • Trying to get any Album of Queensryche is hard to get i the uk ,more is the pitty ,really great band

  • @Absolutemusica1 - my better half is British and we lived there for 7 years, so I can appreciate what your sayin'. Maybe I could bring one over for ya next time we fly over, lol

  • 17 ppl like rap.........................

  • @MegaMetal1988 - those 17 ppl are fuckin stupid. Rock all day.

  • @classic96g : D

  • @classic96g ALL DAY \../

  • If they had American Idol in the 80's Geoff Tate would win.

  • very cool^^!

  • only Queensryche can hold u down and make you jump simultaneously

  • How the hell are there 17 people who dislike Queensryche?

  • IMO the best song of the 80's.

  • Collin Farrell?

  • Dat riff

  • I saw these guys when they Opened for Def Leppard in 88. I've been hooked every since. These guys kick ass, only wish they could kept the line-up togehter!

  • THE HAIR!!!!

  • honestly one of the best music videos of all time i'd say.

  • just -watching- this scares the crap out of me- how do we know the government isn't creating assassins now???

  • @richintalent The Government sucks at covering stuff up. We'd know. And also, in this, the government didn't make Nikki and other into assassins; a private subversive, Dr. X, did.

  • Albums to take to you desert island . . . . . #1 Operation Mindcrime

  • Let's never forget the horrors the children suffered at Penhurst State school and hospital. That's what this song is all about. From 1908 to 1987 it was a state dumping ground for mentally handicapped children, underfunded and understaffed these children never had a chance. It's heartbreaking.

  • @sillygirliegirl2010 Never forget. But this song is part of a story; not sure if you know that.

  • the starring of this video, is Colin Farrell??? O_o look at him! If isn't, he totally looks like!

  • The crowning moment of one of the best albums of it's genre.

  • The intro is a blatant tribute to "Empty Spaces" off of The Wall.

  • Going to see these guys on their 30th anniversary tour tomorrow! Ready to Ryche and Roll! \m/

  • "OPERATION 80'S HAIR-DO"

  • Simply the best....hands down.

  • Who in the fuck dislikes this? Do they have no ears?

  • Dr.x has 13 accounts-.-

  • great song

  • had the opportuntity to see queensryche/dream theater under one billing!! an out door event on a hot summer night. it was amazing and what made the venue more impressive was that for the encore, both bands came out a played together, performing material from each. it was so killer!!! one of the better venue's i've seen in a long while!!! pretty much i never miss out on seeing queensryche to begin with lol great band to see live!!! :)

  • Opera Vocal singing style rulessss!!

Dio, Bruce Dickinson & Geoff Tate!!!

  • @asmodeus9lord Don't forget Rob Halford :)

  • @Xanaxtacy13 mm no man halford is more like plant , the have tho voice like god

  • @asmodeus9lord:

The Three Wise Men of Metal!!!

  • @asmodeus9lord you said it brotrher !!!

  • @asmodeus9lord OMG HOW DARE YOU FUCKING FORGET ROB HALFORD!

  • @asmodeus9lord I wouldn't call it opera. But I couldn't agree with you more. Add Sebastian Bach (Skid Row)(Not to be confusend with Johann Sebastian Bach - the baroque composer) to that list please.

  • @asmodeus9lord FUCK YEAH!

  • @asmodeus9lord yep dont forget Ian gillan,rob halford,michael kiske(Helloween),

  • Can someone help me with this conception thing? Sorry, I never knew about the storyline. I would dearly appreciate anyone briefly telling me about it. Many people say it's the best conception album of all time. Thanks.

  • @driekone From what I have been told by many people, this song is about Pennhurst State Hospital for developmentally disabled people.

  • @tmpayne614 The song's part of a story. This is the finale of that story. Look up Operation Mindcrime.

  • @tmpayne614 Thanks man. I did end up checking into it, but I appreciate the comment. Later

  • could music of today suck anymore?? thank God I got these guys.....

  • Bruce Dickinson and Geoff Tate WAS separated at birth..FACT! ;^)

  • Operation: mindcrime rules the earth bitch!!!

  • Nice solo

  • Yum, yum and double yum!

  • I can appreciate the gratuitous amounts of talent, but I don't like the genre. Sorry guys, I tried

  • @SackToucher at least you can admit the undeniable talent

  • and yes im noone to say whats good or bad,,,but to me mindgrime helped me through so much ,,,,,,,,,,,i drifted away into the music then and now.........cause it is from the heart........it lives on for me and many many others...........mindcrime

  • noone in the world has come close to this cd ,,,,it would stand alone as the best cd of all time...so as time passes by some good some bad but this cd,,will always be the best from the first to the last song,,,it is metal real thoughts of a time that was real to me.................the best MINDCRIME

  • I am amazed that this story had never been made into a film. .... Willian Freidkin or john frankenheimer would bring this story to life

  • @devilsdeck I hope to do this justice someday.

  • Why didn't they put Chewbacca's face on the left side instead of boy X :(

  • FUCK JUSTIN GAY ADS IN METAL VIDEOS...... There is no hope for the world....

  • One of the great songs. Love singing it. So much power! \m/

  • Looking back at me!

  • Ladies and Gentleman: That´s real music!! : )

  • Operation Mind Crime, one of the Best Rock albums of all time!!!

  • @Sebastianquan THE BEST.

  • @Sebastianquan it's true!

    i like queensryche,i like savatage,

  • @Sebastianquan One of?

  • One of the best they've ever done! that said It's a shame that they changed so much from this golden era when Geoff Tate still had his amazing voice that I think he almost completely lost along with the whole Queensryche image for my it´s not the same band anymore and it's a shame so i holding on to the "old" Queensryche =)

  • I have seen them quite a few times. One concert when they played killing words I cried like a baby because my wife had just left me and that song has allot of meaning about relationships failing

  • the worst day of my life is when my lover looked at me with the eyes of a stranger. someday maybe .............he will love me like he did.......

  • They put on the best show on earth!!! I have seen them 15 times!

  • AC/DC, Boston, Def Leppard, Dokken, Rush and including Queensrÿche are my all time favorite rock n roll bands. Best bands of the 80's

  • Sounds like early Dream Theater and Iron Maiden mixed. I think I'm going to enjoy this band.

  • @Kazinsal

I thought it was maiden when I heard the singer (not really at the start), but the guitar sounds more like Dokken so I was unsure... and stumbled upon this band! I'm loving this song.

  • @Kazinsal

  • @Kazinsal Dream Theater were heavily influenced by Queensryche :) Dream Theater lists both of them as influences.

  • 11 deaf people

  • I was so in love with that nun...

  • hey people, live them Legends alone.

  • "Eyes of a Stranger" has 400k views, while shit like Justin Bieber has 30 million. There's a lot of people in this world that wouldn't know good music if it came up to them, and kicked them in the balls.

    Ryche forever!

  • @theaterdreamer /about the 400 k views, just means the band is doing what they want to do, 30 millions on Justin Beiber so what, he's going to make money and one day the idiot record execs will say get rid of Beiber. ...case in point, Christina Aguilara....Back street boys....98 degrees all washed up due to idiot record execs wanting more money. Queensrhyce 20+years, lost some members including a great guitar and song writer but still going on.Fact Queensrhyce is doing what they want to do.

  • I would love to see them live performing the entire Operation album. My mom got me into ryche at 7 and I've sung along ever since.

  • I bet Iron Maiden can cover this perfectly.

  • @PlausableApple4 Yup, I bet they could do it beautifully. Bruce is one of the metal vocalists who could pull Geoff Tate off.

Love these guys, but I really miss Chris DeGarmo.

  • One of the best albums ever

  • 20 some odd years later and that album STILL kicks F*ING ASS

  • dudes thumbs up if you heard pink floyd at the beginning

  • I was at the show in Phx last night too. They were amazing!!

  • Saw Queensryche in Phoenix last night. After all these years, they still sound great.

  • Great sond and great Band if i dont say my self

  • dude jeff tates my town neighbor, BURIEN, WA

  • Am I the only one who hears Pink Floyd in the beggining?

  • @ChuckNorrisCanSeeU No you are not. In fact you can hear a clear Floyd influence on several of their songs.

  • @ChuckNorrisCanSeeU You're right dude, never noticed that before but when I read your comment it was like an Aha! moment.

  • @ChuckNorrisCanSeeU it really does sound like a Pink Floyd tune to start with

  • @ChuckNorrisCanSeeU yep empty spaces from the wall

  • @ChuckNorrisCanSeeU welcome to the machine.

  • @ChuckNorrisCanSeeU nope, chuck testa

  • @ChuckNorrisCanSeeU

You are SO not alone... Silent Lucidity anyone...?

  • @namastecouture the same here

  • @ChuckNorrisCanSeeU nah, I actually hear Queensryche in Pink Floyd songs :]

  • @ChuckNorrisCanSeeU i heard all throught the album. was a nice tribute but i feel they put their own spin on things.

  • @ChuckNorrisCanSeeU

No, you are not. There's a bit off The Wall and Dark Side Of The Moon IMO.

  • @ChuckNorrisCanSeeU yes you are

  • awesome...Operation Mindcrime...one of the best concerts I've ever attended and ever will ever attend.

  • Queensryche's Operation Mindcrime is in my opinion the best album of all time and was the best concert I've ever seen aside from Empire which I'd rate second. I can't believe there aren't more likes than this on here.

  • love the band! wow best show ever in 92' in kalamazoo, mich..

  • It's great to hear they still tour , I still rock their tunes!!!!!!

  • Gonna see these rock Gods in 2 weeks hell yeah!

  • Saw these guys in '91 with Suicidal Tendancies at Nassau Colliseum in Queens, NY. F$#KING ROCKED!! I'l never forget that show. I was 17 and crazy as hell. Loved life and still do! It was the Operation Mindcrime tour. THANKS RACHEAL AND LAUREN FRIEMAN FROM LONG ISLAND for the great memories of days gone by!

  • I believe my nephew Paul is one who can match Geoff Tate'' s style and song.

  • just proves that metal/hard rock is alive and well..and always will be..classic..

  • I get shivers listening to this.

  • Read the Decibel Hall Of Fame article. Made me think back to getting this cassette back when I was 13. My tastes have evolved throughout the years, but always remember my roots.

    Shame about the hair, though.

  • @merlot96 thanks

  • Ive seen the ryche 5x . Never a disappointed :)

    I love this band

  • That guitarist is non other than Chris DeGarmo - who, unfortunately, left the band and he was the Ryche's MAJOR creative contributor - hence, this song.

  • Whos the guitarist with the cool hat? like whats his name?
