  • i'm crying :'(

  • rumor has it lennon liked paul.in romantic way.paul indirectly addmits it in movie of last time together .only he would no lennon was dead. in movie lennon tried to kiss paul

  • ....I'm in love with two friends of mine.....

  • i cried

  • Beatles story is a friendship story when I look at concerts of the Fabfour on youtube It's clear These boys are happy together What a melody maker !

  • Lennon summarised his feelings towards McCartney in an interview three days before his death: "Throughout my career, I've selected to work with...only two people: Paul McCartney and Yoko Ono....That ain't bad picking."[

  • Ram is an album by Paul McCartney and Linda McCartney, released in 1971, the only album credited to the pair.

The sessions also birthed future songs like "Dear Friend," released on the debut Wings album Wild Life later in 1971.

Paul is singing to John, and mentioning that he has two friends. One he has married (Linda) and one whom he wants to still be friends with.

It seems that John may have been jealous of the time Linda took from him, and reacted poorly initially.

  • è un capolavoro.

    Siete dei miti. Vi adoro.

  • "I'm in love with a friend of mine. Really, truly young and newly wed."

I can't help but be enraptured with John and Paul's friendship. They weren't romantic, but even their biographer said that they acted very much like a married couple in every other way. Best mates. Cheers.

  • What a masterpiece! Happy Xmas John!

  • Why John Lennon???

  • I don't know why.. but I love this song... Paul and John wow.. I hope that to be how them..

  • This song makes me almost cry. I miss the friendship between John and Paul so much!

  • Lennon & McCartney weren't getting along very well just before and after the group called it quits. They'd make didgs at each other on records and TV interviews. McCartney didn't want it to get to serious, so he wrote this song to try and patch things up. Later, Lennon performed "I Saw Her Standing There" with Elton John at a concert some place in NYC as a dedication to McCartney.

  • @atfpdana They were getting along during beatle period. The problem between them came when paul had to sue the beatles over there new management. And that came between them until john and george saw that paul was right all along.

  • wouldn't it be nice if john was alive and they met when they were both 80 or something? i am sure they would only feel love for one and other and travel down memory lane smiling at things that happened.

  • Such a strong friendship.

  • I really wish he wasn't gone. And from this song, you can tell that Paul does too.

  • Macca continues to write great songs & put on awesome concerts in which he plays a lot of Beatles material that he wrote.

  • I feel for Paul today :(

  • The song and the images are so beautiful. Why give the murderer a place at the end of the video? does not deserve that place. He deserves nothing.

  • FUCKING REARD!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY DID YOU KILL JOHN?!?!?! YOU ARE SO RETARD! IF I SEE YOU I WILL KILL YOU! FUCKIN IDIOT.

  • @ConBdeBeatles The man who killed John died in prison. -_-

  • @zukolover666 nope, he's still alive.

  • i would wonder what if john and paul would sing this togther

  • ...Dear Friend...we miss you John! :(

  • ....does it really mean.. so much to you...

  • Beautiful. And, this is pretty depressing. :(

  • so sad =(

  • yes...wonderful !

  • Just Wonderful!!

  • I cant stand mark chapman!

  • love McCartney......I missed the Beatles as I was born in 64... I listened to Wings in the 70s...then got into the Beatles...Strange...I Know....but that's how. It happened.x...Love Paul McCartney.

  • Wow I cry and I am only watching at 30 seconds wow

  • @908twister no, I'm crying too :'( Beautiful song, right?

  • "im in love with a friend of mine"

so brilliant paul! so true and straight from the heart....john loves you too babe <3

  • I get so sick at the end of this video watching John sign an autograph for his killer...I want to shout watch out John!!

  • John Lennon and Paul McCartney = THE WORLD'S GREATEST BROMANCE!!!!

  • Who do you think you're fooling, Sir Paul? You and John weren't friends! You should know better than any of us that you were brothers.

  • I can't stop crying :(

  • what a pussy!

  • @thisisnotzimbabwe who?............

  • @thisisnotzimbabwe you ought to be shot- by mark chapman himself. Dont ever insult Sir Paul McCartney ever, ever again.

  • @supermansakic mark chapman is in jail, you pothead. Put "Dear Friend" on youtube again and go caress your boyfriend.

  • @thisisnotzimbabwe Paul McCartney is my boyfriend. No wait John is. But Dont insult Paul you fucking pussy.

  • @TheMonkeesRock I want to put an end to this "conversation"

  • @thisisnotzimbabwe Your a faggot. Delete your comments

  • @TheMonkeesRock You really have severe personality problems. Come on, go out more, try to talk to people. John and Paul would have told you the same.

And quoting the Fab Four (I hope you get the point). You say hello, and I say goodbye...

  • @thisisnotzimbabwe I love that song. But you cant tell me what to do fagg. And your a pussy btw...

  • You'd have to be blind to miss the intensity of John and Paul's relationship. Even my boyfriend, who is a Beatles newbie, said after watching some of the anthology: "They had quite the bromance going on, didn't they?"

  • What a song!

  • This is the best song I've seen displaying Macca's prespective of John. Paul has always been my favorite beatle, but I always thought it was a shame the beatles broke up on such a bad footing.

  • @GouledXD same here

  • It's song attempting to express Paul's love for John, and succeeding

    It's even John's style, isn't it?

  • whats this song about? Is it a slam to john or not. Im getting mixed signals from everyone

  • @johnlennon1110 It's supposedly about McCartney's extreme depression about John's death.

  • @LeviAndJackRule How can that be? It was written in the early 70s about 9 years before John was shot and killed. The story I heard was that this was written in an attempt to reconcile with John after John had recorded "How do you Sleep" in response to Paul's "Too many People" and "Dear Boy."

  • @LeviAndJackRule It wasn't about John's death. It was written and recorded in 1971 almost a decade before John died.

  • @LeviAndJackRule It's about Paul's extreme depression about the breakup of the Beatles and his friendship with John.

  • Happy birthday johnnie. Everyone misses you!

  • @mrsbieber4250 Yay! my comment! sorry about my old username...

  • Thank you for sharing this song of love for his friend

  • Great song

  • Vídeo maravilhoso. Bom gosto extremo. Sensibilidade à flor da pele. BRAVO!!!

  • OMG , It sounds like " Change your heart ". Obviously, Paul made it before !

  • @primoavvertimento It sounds like "Fool`s Overture" (Supertramp) too. Of course Roger Hodgson was another big beatle fan.

  • If you are a Supertramp fan it´s easy to hear a lot of "Dear friend" in "Fool`s Overture".

  • Who are those 9 morons? I'm gonna find them, oh yes...

  • awesome song/video

  • I love the melody and everything, but it feels rushed, so it wasnt produced do good. the repetitiveness ruins it for me,but its still a nice song. Don't hate on me for being a critic! Cause these guys will get mad by anything.

  • @yourtwistedable Agreed

  • What a bromance. Very happy about that they met. World wouldn't be same without Lennon/McCartney.

  • 944 : one of paul's most emotional performances. One can feel his sadness concerning John. "WILDLIFE" was always slammed by the critics, yet it contains some remarkable songs herein.

  • It's very crying and lyric song.

    Paul McCartney the best.

  • i'm sitting here crying.

  • Personally I think they're like gods, someday u know bout them thanks to whatever situation, but u just dont ask yourself bout them, u just say to yourself , "wow this music is sooo ok, and those two are, wow, them"...... time passes and when u realize hows world going on in your head, you get to analize what kind of AMAZING human beings are walking this planet. inmediatily u start feeling directly influenced :) so thankfull we feel....

  • Such a sad song... and Paul has gone through a lot of hard times... But not as hard as when John died

  • Best fucking song in history.

    This is just amazing...

  • @chookieJS agreed.

  • masterpiece

  • What a Beautiful Song

I had not heards this one 'Imagine'

40 years and I missed it I'm now 60 Great UploadTY

  • What 9 assholes had a gun up to their head?

  • I cried when Paul sang this song at his consert :(

  • @GeorgeHarrisonLuver1 I saw the concert too... It made me cry so so much :(

  • @chubwubster Wait, when did he play this live? I saw him during his most recent Yankee Stadium concert tour and he did not include this in his setlist. If you have any video link, could you please include it? Thanks.

  • @stampede331 he never played this live, why would he play a song like this? its an Ok song, nothing extraordinary.

  • @yourtwistedable what do you mean OK. This is one of the best songs he ever did. Much better then that yesterday shit that got so overrated. You can feel this song and it's meaning and it touches you especially if you know john lennon.

  • @thetwilightzone100 emm this song is not for john this song is for linda mccartney the song ¨my old friend¨ its for john

  • @ferunandogajardo check wiki about "wild life" album, they say this song was an peace offer for John, since he told the media hat Paul had started the fight with "Too Many People" and "3 Legs", and that the infamous "How do you sleep" was only an answer.

  • @MichalFokt ahh i didnt watched wikipedia sorry my bad

  • @ferunandogajardo nope it's about John. The hints are hither. All the pics of John and Paul in the vid. All the comments about John and if that doesn't show you then look at the wiikipedia page on wild life and see that it's about John actually i'll save you the effort. And i quote "One notable song, "Dear Friend", recorded during the Ram sessions, was apparently an attempt at reconciliation with John Lennon" Do your research before you question me .

  • @thetwilightzone100 do you know john lennon?

  • Err...sorry.... Chapman should,(if any of that stuff was real!..) burn ...

Great tune, thanks for the upload!.xxx

We miss ya Lennon...more than we know!.

  • This song makes me cry D:

  • fucking chapman why you do that T-T

  • that's for my best friend and for me!!!! <3 :'))

  • the photo at 5.19...what might have been .

  • I didn't know this song before, and apparently I wasn't missing anything. If some unknown artist had made this song it may well have gone unnoticed.

  • @wwwonderful Well as it is it's pretty much unnoticed. I don't think it was ever meant to be more than that. The only reason it has so many views is because it's a letter from Paul to John, which is relevant to Beatles fans.

  • @xmarijeeemj Um, I feel like your my mom, "don't call people stupid" I didn't say stupid. I said dumb. Two completely different words.

  • Even brothers need time away from each other... they were constantly working between 1961 and 1967.... they should have taken time off and done solo work when Brian Epstein died (their manger for people who don't know...) John was really shaken by that, and had a drop in his music contributions on Revolver and Sgt. Peppers.

  • @switcherxx when epstein died so did john, for a bit

  • @switcherxx Brian died after both Revolver and Sergeant Pepper were recorded. In fact, Brian tried to talk the group out of the Pepper album cover, fearing a backlash. But by then they weren't listening to him.

  • His "love of a friend of mine" is Linda. Not John. Stop making stuff up.

  • great song

  • Great song and sentiment. A pre-cursor to "Here Today", but I'm not fond of the last 2 frames of this.

  • Lennon / McCartney: probably the strongest and saddest friendship ever. <3

  • @0VeroPlantAmos0 I agree...more than brothers, they were specular each other and loved each other

  • not Lennon, off of first Wings album, Wild Life, is Linda he is singing with, not about Lennon either

  • @MissBeatleBailey I know right? Why does everythink that handsome men are GAY!?!

  • If this song isn't about John, then the world doesn't spin. Well, it stopped on December 8th, 1980. Burn in Hell, Chapman. you killed the dreams and youth of so many on that day.

  • i'm in love with this song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    <3333333333333333333333333

  • hay otra cancion que sí es para john..es una cancion ..que recuerda a yesterday en fondo y forma : "here today". Hay un video de paul llorando al cantarla en un puto club

  • RIP John Lennon:( How I wish I got the chance to meet you!

  • Why Does EVERYONE Think They Were Gay Or Bisexual? I Mean Like COMEON!

  • @SparksJessica1 I know how you feel. Paul even said in the Anthology "Hamburg is why I really don't get why people think John is Gay. I mean, of all the times I caught him in a shag, we never caught him with a boy."

  • @SparksJessica1 yep, they were a couple in love, john was bisexual yeah

  • @chabelita777mex Um, NO. John wasn't bisexual. Like, really. How dumb ARE YOU PEOPLE?

  • @SparksJessica1 there are rumors but I don't believe it. But don't call people stupid.

  • you know this song is not about john Lennon

  • @Gmetallic then..about who?

  • @iatlos Well, if you actually read the lyrics you will know that it's not about John.

  • @Jazzawray There's no hell, above us only sky.

  • @DieWalrossen Appreciate the punctuation. There's a comma in there.

  • @yourtwistedable ive had a look at your page and you appear to be a massive mccartney fan as am i , with that in mind can you please enlighten me as to why you think its ok to call me an idiot and say fuck you twice ? i cant for the life of me see how ive upset you so much ??.

  • Comment removed

  • @yourtwistedable well you are entitled to your opinion as am i , and if you are talking about making comments then perhaps you should think before calling someone an idiot and saying fuck you twice which i find insulting , even so thank you for at least replying, naturally Lennon doesnt get a second chance though does he . ?.

  • Comment removed

  • @yourtwistedable thankyou for the apology, i have removed the comment as you can see , god bless and carry on enjoying the god given music of the beatles.

  • @Jazzawray Saying chapman should burn in hell goes against everything John ever stood for. Please, just give peace a chance.

  • Comment removed

  • @Jazzawray Thank you. ☮

  • one of mccartney's best

  • I think this may be the best song ever written. I dont see why it dont have 50 million views, But whatever people prefer there justin beiber i guess.

  • @DDKFILMS pretty much all decent music is guaranteed to have less than a quarter amount of views than the rubbish that's being made, but, the fans of this kind of music are loyal and don't just stop listening to it when a new genre or whatever comes into fashion because it is actually worth listening to for years and years

  • *sigh* You know, when you make a friend, you normally want to stay that way forever. Eventually, you'll start to believe that its true that you're gonna be friends forever after going through many things just as John and Paul did as musicians. It was truly memorable times, but things can disappear as quick as they start. John died 30 years ago.......that's 30 years without Paul. I wonder how sad Sir Paul is, knowing that this world could be much more different if only John were there....*crying*

  • Para mi que Paul nunca ha puesto tanto sentimiento en una canción, como lo hace aquí.Este tema no se parece a ninguno anterior de él."Really miss much to you"

  • Thank God for their bromance!! Life wouldn't be the same for any of us if they hadn't met :)

  • @ilsb08 Hopefully is was more than just a BRO thing ;) How hot would that be?

    Lennon/McCartney

  • boys done good.forever thankful

  • you know John was some hell of a man,but also someone who had a very troubled past; lost his mother shortly after reunion, never met his father, his adoptive uncle died early, his childhood basically never existed, and this made him an"interesting"man,a poet,a singer;because he had something to say that only music could express. Paul was probably his best friend, and always will be,and it was hard to be his friend(for Paul)but the hell, they were made for each other more than bread and penautbutter

  • @MegaPanzers1 Correction, he did meet his father. after john was a beatle, his father showed up on his doorstep and stayed with him for a while until john kicked him out.

  • @Thereviewcritics oh thanks for the note:)

  • I'm sorry for your loss, Paul.

  • Dear friend John, our friendship created the greatest band ever, two genius together making music... but we both knew that couldnt last much time, so we´d have to split up forever.

Thats surely what they would say each other some times

  • I'll tell you the truth, @philippemarin17: I've never commented on anyone's photo montage before; I don't usually even *like* them, plastered over top of what is basically only an audio contribution. But Paul's haunting song to John, accompanied by your very evocative selection of pics, that combination really spoke to me. That's an original creation, a nice bit of photojournalism; and very moving.

  • che creo q es medio chamuyo, este tema es de 84, no la pudo haber hecho nunca john...

  • shattering song. Good video too mate, nicely done.

    Heartbreaking song.

  • i absolutely love Paul's voice

  • 5:36 I HATE YOU MARK DAVID CHAPMAN!!! I HATE YOU

  • @AmonCOCO Yes, he deserves to be tied up and cut. Each cut for each person in the world who misses John Lennon. Rest in Peace John, the whole world misses you!

  • @AmonCOCO me too, but he'll get whats coming to him.

  • Beautiful.

  • Where can I download this
