the compound slingshot is very impresive, not necesarily in speed, but definetly in design and accuracy, and has one more "pro", I'm almost sure the string will last longer than the bands, but it will be nice to see that invention of yours shooting with flat bands, speed will increase a lot, due to the pulleys will act as a draw lenght extention, would be like a really big slingshot, but the bow wouldn't be "working" as it was supposed to, since it is way to hard to be bend over by rubber.Bravo!
@JARottenHeart Would it not be possible to add a thera black band to the bow string? It would'nt have the same let off that compund bows are originaly designed for but once you got to the "letoff point it would only be like drawing back one pair of black thera band (depending on the percentage of letoff of the compound bow) but the wrist brace would still enable this to be accurate.And if the figure given of 275 fps with the extra black thera band Im sure would take that nearer 320FPS LETHAL!l
It probably didn't go through with the slingshot because it was the weak yellow band, if u use the red, blue, white/silver, or black, it will kill a small game easily.
It's already years ago when JoergSprave started building REALLY powerful slingshots (see his video "Slingshot vs Helmet").

I like your apparatus, but a really powerful slingshot doesn't need any high tech, it's just a simple one, a practical one. See Joerg's Video "How To Make + Shoot The Strongest Destruction Slingshot ".

That's great! Perhaps you got me wrong. As I said: I really like your invention (I gave it a "like it") and there is no doubt that it has some clear advantages in comparison with other slingshots. It's only the title of your video which isn't justified at all: Your compound slingshot could never beat the simple power of two layers of thera band black.

@mcbarberblue yeah we have actually heard that before about the liberty. At this moment in time I think it would be more beneficial to us to either license it out for production or just sell the patent all together. Haven't put much research into it yet. If you have any suggestions please share.
@xxNonexistancexx you should talk with concept archery about the cams for it, they make cams that are 99% let off, meaning you could up the power to 320fps and still have little to hold after reaching the letoff. also, try getting some tungsten carbide balls as ammo, at 18.5 g/cc compared to steel's 7.4 and lead's 11.4, it'll pack more punch and have more penetration than either of the other two could offer
@mcbarberblue it's actually relatively heavy. Again, it's just a prototype and not much thought when into the overall weight or appearance. We just wanted it to work. As far as the accuracy at longer distances, a sight similar to one for a compound bow could be used. We used a lazer sight for the video. The ball flies pretty straight. The trick of our slingshot is how the pouch is made to allow for good flight.
@mcbarberblue i believe we have it set at about 50 lbs. as of now we only have the one prototype. we haven't put any further research into selling it but more feedback like this may force us to consider it. what would you pay for something like it?
