  • @deathbein101 All of the calculations were done using a basic scientific calculator and a z-score "LEFT TAIL" table. The most common error that students in high school make when typing these into a calculator is that the formulas require the entire numerator to be divided by the denominator.

    Also note that the entire p-hat, q-hat, and n are in the radical.

    You would have to use sqrt[ p-hat x q-hat / n ] on your calculator. To be safe, you could also use (p-hat x q-hat ) inside the [ ].
